1 HUMS data download (On-Aircraft) from the VHMU. When the YHMU is installed in the aircraft, connect a computer to the Ethernet connector located on the left hand side of the center console in the UH-60M. HUMS data must be downloaded on the UH-GOA/L using the VHMU programming cable PN After the computer is connected to VHMU, the HUMS data can be obtained using the File Zilla CUent software. After the aircraft and compurer ar connected, perform the following steps. ARCRAFT TASK Power-up the aircraft with ground power unit or APU. Ensure the YHMU circuit breaker is pushed in. Observe completion ofvhmu BT on VHMU MAN/MANT page (GO). Turn off all MFDs. 5 Pull Circuit Breakers for CDU 1 (Pilot CDU), CDU (CoPilots CDU), and DTS. COMPUTER SETUP Select Start> Settings> Control Panel> Network Connections> Local Area Connection> Properties. Use the slide bar to scroll to 'nternet Protocol (TCP/P), and select the 'Properties' button. Set laptop P address to [ XXX.YYY (XXX, YYY can be any numbers as long as XXX, YYY does not match any other aircraft system on the aircraft: Ethernet, for example or , or ], sub net is and select 'OK.' Close 'Local Area Connection Properties' window and close the 'nternet Connections' window DOWNLOAD OPERATONS Create a folder on 'Desktop' and name folder - 'HUMS Data FTP.' From the 'Start' button in Windows, select 'Run.' Type cmd and select 'OK.' This will open a DOS window. Type 'ping ' on the command line. Tlis provides a check to verify the connection to the VHMU. Select 'FTP- File Transfer Protocol' in the 'Servertype' cell. d. Select 'Normal' in the 'Logonrype' cell. e. Enter 'ftp' in the 'User' cell. f. Enter ' inrerpeak' in the 'Password' cell. g.then, select the 'Connect' button. Select 'New Site' under the 'My Sites' folder (all the information above should be displayed/entered in the 'General' tab). 5 Select the 'Connect' button. 6 Navigate to the 'Goodrich' folder on the 'Remote Site' frame in the ftp software Navigate to the 'HUMS Data FTP' folder on the 'Local Site' frame in the ftp software. Highlight the 'Goodrich' folder on the 'Remote Site' and right dick on mouse. A menu will appear. Select the 'Download' option. t will take approximately 0 minutes to download 1 G B of data. HUMS files download progress from VHMU to PC will be displayed under the 'Server/Local file' window (bottom of main window). Once the download process is completed, all files in the VHMU 'Goodrich' folder will be located in the 'HUMS Data FTP' folder on PC Desktop. Verify all files have been downloaded prior to dosing FileZila SW Program. Disconnect laptop and Ehternet cable from the cockpit, push in Circuit Breakers for Pilot CDU (CDUl), CoPilot CDU (CDU), and DTS, and Shut down aircraft. Restore the laptop to the original configuration (TCP/P) >Properties screen and select the 'Obtain and P Address Auromatically' radio button. Select 'Apply' and then 'Close' buttons. us. 4 Select the 'New Site' button. On the 'General' tab, encer ' ' in the 'Host' cell. Select 'FTP - File Transfer Prococol' in the 'Servertype' cell. Select 'Normal' in the 'Logontype' cell. 7 COMPUTER SETUP nternet Properties Set-Up: 'nternet Properties' must be set as follows (these setting are changed anytime the PC is connected to the USACR/SC network); Refer to page: 1 a. Highlight and right click E icon on Desktop. Then, select 'Properties.' b. An 'nternet Properties' window will appear c. n the 'Home page' cell, highlight the address. Select the 'Use Blank' button., 1nen, select the 'Apply' button. 1nis will clear any address saved as your default home page. Select Start> Settings> Control Panel> Network Connections> Local Area Connection> Properties. An E FTP home page will appear. Select the main file folder. All HUMS files will be listed. Each file must be downloaded independently. Disconnect laptop and Ehternet cable from the cockpit, push in Circuit Breakers for Pilot CDU (CDU), CoPilot CDU (CDU), and DTS, and shut down aircraft. 8 HUMS data downloa 'a MU When the VHMU is removed from the aircraft, connect a computer via the Ethernet connec or to the VHMU. After the computer is connected to VHMU, the HUMS data can be obtained usi ng the File Zilla Client sofrware. After the VHMU and computer are connected, perform the following steps. Turn on the 8V DV power supply and verify voltage set at 8V DC V DC and amperage set to a minimum of 5 amps Connect the VHMU incerfacc maintenance cables to the J, J5 and J6 connectors on the VHMU. Disconnect the banana clip jumper on the P- connector (Open) Refer to page. VHMU Setup for CVFDR Download Discrete nputs for Aircraft dentification Box (black box on download cable) for switch settings. Connect the VHMU incerface maintenance cables to the 8V DC power supply. Connect the VHMS interface maintenance cable Ethernet connector to the PC. Turn on the 8V DC power supply. Verify proper voltage and amperage.
