2 Introduction ASGATech proudly presents you the Islamic Organizer for new Nokia 9300i with many useful features for Middle East users. ASGATech Islamic Organizer simply helps adapt your smart phone to your culture to make your life easier. Islamic Organizer offers many features: Support 3-language UI: Arabic, English and French. Very nice and comfortable user interface. Hijri-Calendar based Organizer. Convert from Gregorian to Hijri date and vice versa. Instant synchronization with device default calendar entries. Prayer times for more than 200 cities. Display prayer times for any day of the year. Cover all methods of calculating prayer time. Selective prayer alarm. Two ways of displaying the Qeblla direction. o Relative to North. o Relative to Sun. Selective auto-start with device. Display of important Islamic Events. Installation Use Nokia PC Suite for installation or copy the installation package Organizer.sis to your device memory. Refer to your phone user manual for more information about installing new applications. During installation process, some dialogs will pop up. Read these instructions and take the proper action. 3 Using Islamic Organizer The application can be divided into 4 parts: Main View Calendar Islamic Events Settings Main View A E B D F Figure 2, Islamic Organizer main view Main view displays a number of useful information to the user at the same time, such as: A. Current prayer: this is the prayer that should be performed at the moment, the time for this prayer is generally between a time of prayer and the time of next prayer. B. Time left for next prayer: this is the time left for the next time prayer to come. C. All today prayer times: a table for all today prayer times depending on the selected city and the date. D. Qeblla direction for currently selected city: either relative to North or Sun. This can be set from application settings. Note that Qeblla is forced to be displayed relative to North after sunset till sunrise. E. Next Islamic event: this is the next Islamic event in the calendar, all Islamic events can be viewed on Islamic Events part. F. Next entries in the calendar: This is all day entries for the next day that has at least one entry. Main view can also display the prayer time on certain date by selecting this option from menu View>Prayer Times. You can edit next calendar events and view next Islamic event details by pressing Enter after selecting the desired item. 4 Calendar Figure 4, Calendar Calendar is responsible for adding/editing/deleting calendar entries. You can start the calendar from the Main View either by pressing 1st CBA button or by selecting menu View>Calendar. The Calendar window consists of 2 parts, Calendar grid and events list; you can switch between them by pressing Tab. You can view calendar in 2 modes, Month view and week view. You can switch between views by pressing Switch View on the 1st CBA button or by selecting menu View>Switch View. There are a number of functions you can perform in Calendar, such as: - Adding Entries Figure 5, Calendar Click on the Add Entry button or directly press Enter twice on an empty day. You can also select menu Edit>Add Note. There is a shortcut key (CTRL+N) also that can be used. - Deleting Entries Figure 6, Calendar Select the desired entry to be deleted and select Edit>Delete Entry or press Back Space button. You will get a confirmation message press Ok to delete or Cancel to cancel the deletion. Page 4 of 8

5 - Editing Entries Figure 7, Calendar You can edit entry by pressing Edit Entry on 3rd CBA button when an entry is selected, by selecting menu Edit>Edit Note or by pressing Enter on a selected entry. - View Islamic Events Figure 8, Calendar You can view Islamic event by pressing Show on 3rd CBA button when an Islamic event is selected, by selecting menu View>Display Islamic Event or by pressing Enter when selecting an Islamic event. - Navigation Figure 9, Calendar You can move between days using arrow keys when the calendar grid is selected. You can also make fast transition month by month by holding CTRL while using the arrow keys. For large transition use go to date by selecting menu View>Go to Date or pressing CTRL+G, this will cause a dialog box to appear so you can enter the date you want to move to. 6 - Date conversion Figure 10, Calendar You can convert dates between Gregorian and Hijri calendar immediately by selecting menu View>Date Conversion or by pressing CTRL+C; this will display a date conversion dialog which will allow you to select the direction of conversion then immediately convert date as you type. - Closing Figure 11, Calendar You can close calendar and return back to main view by pressing Close, selecting menu File>Close or pressing CTRL+E. Settings From settings you can control the behavior of the application. The settings can be divided into: General Figure 12, General Settings Application language: There are 3 different languages: English, French and Arabic. Alarm volume: Where you can choose the volume level of the organizer events. Current country: Where you can select your country to be displayed in the main view. Current city: Inside the selected country. Auto start: Organizer can start automatically when you start up your mobile phone if you enable this feature Page 6 of 8

7 Prayer times Figure 13, Prayer times Settings Calculation method: Way of calculating prayer times, it depends on your country. Prayer alarm: Disable and enable prayer alarm. Summer time: Enable and disable summer time (daylight saving time). ASR Method: The way of calculating ASR prayer times (Islamic Related Issue). Qeblla direction: Set display method of Qeblla direction either relative to North or Sun. Calendar Figure 14, Calendar Settings Week starts on: Set the day on which the week starts. Hijri date correction: Set the number of days to add or subtract to correct the Hijri date conversion. Islamic Events Figure 15, Islamic Events - This is a simple window that can open from main view by selecting menu View>Islamic Events or pressing CTRL+I, the window has a list of all Islamic events stored in the application so you can select the event in interest, immediately the description will be displayed on the left side. Press Tab key to switch focus between Islamic events list and Islamic event description. Press Close to return to main view. Page 7 of 8

8 Help - You can display anywhere in the application by pressing Chr+? Un-installation This application might not be un-installed correctly from the phone, if you ever got an error message like this "Error: Problem removing 'Organizer' Unknown error" during un-installation, please do the following: Quit un-installation. Re-boot your device by removing the battery then placing it back, Try un-installing the application. If you tried to re-install the application and you got any error messages like "System: Specified object is currently in use by another application", then try re-booting your device before reinstalling.
