3 3 1. Introduction The Web n Walk Manager allows you to easily set up internet access, as well as access to the Internet from your computer using mobile data transmission. If you decide to use the Web n Walk Manager, you do not have to spend time installing the modem and configuring your connection. The software does everything for you. It is enough to just connect the modem to your computer using a cable or by Bluetooth. It takes just a few minutes for the program to guide you through the installation process, after which you can immediately start using your internet connection. Internet Access Requirements: Modem or phone SIM card with activated data service Cable or Bluetooth connection between your modem or phone and your computer The Web n Walk Manager is available on CD at T-Mobile stores, or can be downloaded free of charge from

Supported Devices You can use the Web n Walk Manager for setting up a network connection with the following devices: 4G modem 4G USB modem Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Huawei phones and modems 3. Software Installation and Internet Access Setup Run the installation package downloaded from After initializing the installation, you will see a welcome message from the wizard, which will inform you of its current status in each of the subsequent steps. Installation may require your system password. Please follow all installation steps according to Mac OS X standards. The software will start automatically after the installation has been completed. The language of the software is set according to your system settings to either Czech or English.

6 6 5. Main Window Once the Web n Walk Manager software has been successfully installed, it can be accessed when the main window appears. The software can also be accessed by means of the list of installed applications. For further details, please click on the triangle next to the device list. The information that is displayed is important for troubleshooting. Default View of Main Window: Description of Main Window s Items Menu of Installed Devices This list enables you to select the equipment through which you will connect to the Internet. Control Buttons Application control buttons can be found in the upper part of the window (described from left to right): Receiver Connects the computer to the Internet using the selected device Gears Displays configuration options (settings) Bluetooth Starts Bluetooth device discovery The buttons are available according to the current status of the application. Inactive buttons appear gray, while active buttons are darker. Use the standard red button to minimize the application. It can be brought back up again by clicking on the application icon on the system bar. Use the menu to close the application. Connection and Disconnection In order to connect to the Internet, at least one device must be installed. Step 1 Select the device with which you want to connect from the drop-down menu with the list of available devices. Step 2 Press the button with the receiver and wait for a connection to be established. Connection progress is displayed on the screen. Note: If the PIN code request on your SIM card is active, you will be prompted to enter your PIN code before the first connection. It is possible to deactivate PIN code protection in the window used for entering the PIN. Network Status Network status (name, type of connection, and signal level) is shown automatically when a supported device is connected.

7 7 Once the connection has been established, the window displays the duration of the connection, and a meter shows the volume of data transmitted during the current connection. When a connection is active, the button with the receiver changes to a replaced handset. Clicking this button will terminate the connection.

Network and Connection Settings Web'n'Walk Manager supports Automatic and manual GPRS/EDGE/3G network provider selection Automatic 4G or GPRS/EDGE connection mode selection Corporate customers may choose their own access point (APN) To enter the settings menu, please click the gears button. 7. Device Management Both the installation and un-installation of devices is done automatically upon a device connecting to or disconnecting from the system. 8. Software Removal The software is removed by moving it to the trash bin, like any other Mac OS X application. Please close the software before removal.
