Important Warranty Information Regarding Televiion Format Viewing See the warranty card for more information on warranty term. Wide creen format LED Diplay (16:9, the apect ratio of the creen width to height) are primarily deigned to view wide creen format full-motion video. The image diplayed on them hould primarily be in the wide creen 16:9 ratio format, or expanded to fill the creen if your model offer thi feature and the image are contantly moving. Diplaying tationary graphic and image on creen, uch a the dark idebar on no expanded tandard format televiion video and programming, hould be limited to no more than 5% of the total televiion viewing per week. Additionally, viewing other tationary image and text uch a tock market report, video game diplay, tation logo, web ite or computer graphic and pattern, hould be limited a decribed above for all televiion. Diplaying tationary image that exceed the above guideline can caue uneven aging of LED Diplay that leave ubtle, but permanent burned-in ghot image in the LED picture. To avoid thi, vary the programming and image, and primarily diplay full creen moving image, not tationary pattern or dark bar. Uneven LED aging a a reult of format election and ue, a well a burned in image, are not covered by your Samung limited warranty. To reduce rik of thi effect, pleae follow below recommendation: Avoid diplaying the ame TV channel for long period. Alway try to diplay a full creen image. When a PC with a reolution of 1920 x 60Hz i connected to the HDMI IN 1(DVI) port, you hould et the port to DVI PC mode under Edit Name. Memorizing Channel OO MENUm Channel ENTERE Antenna (Air / Cable) t Before your televiion can begin memorizing the available channel, you mut pecify the type of ignal ource that i connected to the TV (i.e. an Air or a Cable ytem). Auto Program Air: Air antenna ignal. Cable: Cable antenna ignal. Auto: Air and Cable antenna. NOTE x When electing the Cable TV ytem: STD, HRC and IRC identify variou type of cable TV ytem. Contact your local cable company to identify the type of cable ytem that exit in your particular area. At thi point, the ignal ource ha been elected. 14

How to Stop Searching Scrambled Channel 1. Pre the ENTERE button to elect Stop. 2. Pre the button to elect Ye. 3. Pre the ENTERE button. Thi function i only available in Cable mode. Channel Lit Channel Lit Option Menu Set each channel uing the Channel Lit menu option (Add / Delete, Timer Viewing, Select All / Deelect All). Connecting to a Wired Network You can attach your TV to your LAN uing cable in three way: y You can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to an external modem uing a Cat 5 cable. Mot home network are Dynamic Network. Some network require a Static IP addre. If your network require a Static IP addre, you mut enter the IP addre, ubnet mak, gateway, and DNS value manually on your TV Cable Setup Screen when you et up the network connection. 29 Network Setup (Samung Auto Configuration) Thi function i available in AP (Acce Point) that upport Samung Auto Configuration. If your AP doe not, you can connect through PBC (WPS), auto, or manually. Thi function i available when SWL(Samung Wirele Link) i et to Off. You can check for equipment that upport Samung Auto Configuration on How to et up uing Samung Auto Configuration 1. Place the AP and TV next to each other and turn them on. Becaue the booting time of application differ, you may have to wait for approximately 2 minute. If the LAN cable connected the WAN port of AP during Samung Auto Configuration, you are able to complete until internet connection tet. If you do not connect, Samung Auto Configuration will check only device connecting of AP (Not check internet). 2. After 2 minute, connect the Samung Wirele LAN Adapter to the TV. When the Samung Wirele LAN Adapter i etablihed, the pop-up window appear. 3. A oon a a connection i etablihed, place the AP in parallel with the Samung Wirele LAN Adapter giving a gap no larger than 25cm. 4. Wait until the connection i automatically etablihed. If the connection fail, reet the AP and then try again. If Samung Auto Configuration doe not connect your TV to your AP, a pop-up window appear on the creen notifying you of the failure. Reet the AP, and then try again. If the connection fail again, chooe one of the other connection etup method, PBC (WPS), auto, or manual. 5. After the connection i etablihed, locate the harer at the deired location. If the AP etting have been changed or it i the firt time you ue the new AP after purchae, you need to et up again beginning from Step 1. Network Setup (PBC (WPS)) How to et up uing PBC (WPS) If your router ha a PBC (WPS) button, follow thee tep: 1. Connect your TV to your LAN a decribed in the previou ection. 2. Turn on your TV, pre the MENU button on your remote, ue the or button to elect Setup, and then pre the ENTERE button. 3. The Security Key i baed on a Pa Phrae, typically a word or a erie of letter and number of a pecified length you were aked to enter when you et up ecurity for your wirele network. If you ue thi method of etting up the network connection, and have a Security Key for your wirele network, you will have to enter the Pa Phrae during the etup proce. How to et up automatically To et up the wirele connection automatically, follow thee tep: 1. Follow Step 1 through 6 in the How to et up uing PBC (WPS) procedure. 2. Pre the button to elect Internet Protocol Setup, and then pre the ENTERE button. Pre the or button to elect Auto, and then pre the ENTERE button. 3. SWL(Samung Wirele Link) Thi function let you connect a Samung device that upport the PBC (WPS) to your TV. You can connect device to the TV even if a harer i not connected to the TV. To ue the Internet@TV, the AP (acce point) mut be connected to the wirele network. If a Samung Wirele Lan Adapter i connected to the USB 2 port, the network may not operate normally. We recommend to connecting it to the USB 1 (HDD) port. Only harer uing the 2.4 Ghz band are upported. Sharer uing the 5 Ghz band are not upported. SWL connect You can directly connect a device that upport the PBC (WPS) to the TV. Thi function i available when SWL(Samung Wirele Link) i et to On. How to connect Samung Wirele Link For the procedure to etablih a connection, refer to the following: 1. Follow Step 1 through 5 in the How to et up uing PBC (WPS) (p. 29). 2. Select SWL(Samung Wirele Link) by uing the button and pre the ENTERE button to turn it On. 3. Select SWL connect by uing the button and pre the ENTERE button. 4. If the Pre the PBC button on the device which upport PBC button to connect within 120 econd meage appear, pre the PBC button on the device to connect. For more information, refer to the wirele network etup manual of the device to be connected. 5. If the device i connected properly to the TV after tarting count on meage box then meage box will be diappeared automatically. If the connection fail, pleae retry after 2 minute. If Your TV Fail to Connect to the Internet Your TV may not be able to connect to the Internet becaue your ISP ha permanently regitered the MAC addre (a unique identifying number) of your PC or modem, which it then authenticate each time you connect to the Internet a a way of preventing unauthorized acce. A your TV ha a different MAC addre, your ISP can not authenticate it MAC addre, and your TV can not connect. To reolve thi problem, ak your ISP about the procedure required to connect device other than a PC (uch a your TV) to the Internet. If your Internet ervice provider require an ID or paword to connect to the Internet, your TV may not be able to connect to the Internet. If thi i the cae, you mut enter your ID or paword when connecting to the Internet. The internet connection may fail becaue of a firewall problem. If thi i the cae, contact your Internet ervice provider. 47 PROFILE Widget Set up uer profile through Profile Widget. You can et up multiple profile, each with it own lit of widget. Ue the Switch Profile option to witch to a different uer profile. There mut be at leat two regitered profile. For intruction on adding a profile, refer to Adminitrative Control. y Ue the Profile Setting option to cutomize and protect your profile. Uer profile can be cutomized with a unique name and avatar (a picture ued to repreent your profile). Your profile name and avatar are diplayed in the profile nippet in the dock. Protect your profile uing the Create Profile PIN option. When etting up a new PIN, you can et a Security Quetion. y The Profile Setting option limit acce to the profile widget. If you forget your Profile PIN, anwer your profile Security Quetion. New widget cannot be added to profile with Limit Profile indicator enabled. Owner PIN mut be et to ue thi feature. 49 AllShare OO MENUm Application Content View AllShare ENTERE About AllShare AllShare connect your TV and compatible Samung mobile phone/ device through a network. On your TV, you can view call arrival, SMS meage and chedule et on your mobile phone. In addition, you can play media content including video, photo and muic aved on your mobile phone or the other device (uch a your PC) by controlling them on the TV via the network. Additionally, you can ue your TV for browing web page in your mobile phone. For more information, viit or contact the Samung call center. Mobile device may need additional oftware intallation. For detail, refer to each device uer guide. Setting Up AllShare Setup Meage (On / Off): Enable or diable the meage function (for call arrival, SMS meage and chedule et on your mobile phone). Media (On / Off): Enable or diable the media function. When the media function i on, it play video, photo and muic from a mobile phone or other device that upport AllShare. ScreenShare (On / Off): Enable or diable the ScreenShare function for uing mobile phone a a remote control. TV name: Set the TV name o you can find it eaily on a mobile device. If you elect Uer Input, you can type on the TV uing the OSK (On Screen Keyboard). AllShare Setup Meage Meage Media : On : On 3/7 Meage / Media / ScreenShare Show a lit of mobile phone or connected device which have been et up with thi TV for uing the Meage, Media, or ScreenShare function. The Media function i available in all mobile device which upport AllShare. Allowed / Denied: Allow/Block the mobile phone. Delete: Delete the mobile phone from the lit. Thi function only delete the name of the mobile from the lit. If the deleted mobile device i turned on or try to connect to the TV, it may appear on the lit again. Uing the Meage Function Uing thi function, you view call arrival, SMS meage and chedule et on the mobile phone through the alarm window while watching TV. NOTE x To diable the alarm window, et Meage to Off in Setup of AllShare. x If OK i elected, or if OK i not elected after the meage ha appeared three time, the meage will be deleted. The meage i not deleted from the mobile phone. x The alarm window can be diplayed while uing ome application uch a Media Play etc. To view the content of a meage, witch to TV viewing mode. x When a meage from an unknown mobile phone i diplayed, elect the mobile phone on the meage menu in AllShare and elect Denied to block the phone. Meage View If a new SMS meage arrive while you are watching TV, the alarm window appear. If you click the OK button, the content of the meage are diplayed. You can configure the viewing etting for SMS meage on your mobile phone. For the procedure, refer to the mobile phone manual. 50 Advanced Feature Call Arrival Alarm If a call arrive while you are watching TV, the alarm window appear. Schedule Alarm While you are watching TV, the alarm window appear to diplay the regitered event. You can configure viewing etting for chedule content on your mobile phone. For the procedure, refer to the mobile phone manual. Some pecial character may be diplayed a blank or broken character. Uing the Media Function An alarm window appear informing the uer that the media content (video, photo, muic) ent from a mobile phone will be diplayed on your TV. The content are played automatically 3 econd after the alarm window appear. If you pre the RETURN or EXIT button when the alarm window appear, the media content are not played. NOTE x If the media function execute for the firt time, the warning popup window appear. Pre the ENTERE button to elect Allow, then you can ue Media function on that device. "Unknown Device 0" i requeting that the media file be allowed to play. If you wih to allow the media file to be played at your device, pleae pre "Allow", otherwie pre "Deny". You can alo change the etting (or reetting) of thi feature at "AllShare Setup". Warning: Pleae note that if your device i connected to unecured or unfamiliar network, unwanted or inappropriate content might be played. If you are not ure about the network' identity or content' appropriatene, we trongly recommend that you do not "Allow" the requet to play. Allow Deny x To turn off the media content tranmiion from the mobile phone, et Media to Off in the AllShare etup. x Content may not be played on your TV depending on their reolution and format. x The ENTERE and / button may not work depending on the type of media content. x Uing the mobile device, you can control the media playing. For detail, refer to each mobile uer guide. x When you want to play media content from your PC, elect the PC icon on the main diplay of AllShare. Then the TV Media Play menu automatically change. For more detail information, refer to Media Play (p. 32). Uing ScreenShare Function Uing ScreenShare, you can browe variou web content provided by the mobile phone. For example, the image below diplay an acce page for content on a mobile. You can read the mobile file and view the phone book and calendar on the TV. Alo, in the phone book, you can make a call to another peron, or end to SMS. NOTE x You mut have ScreenShare intalled on your Samung Mobile phone/device to ue thi feature. x Doc Viewer can read file in doc format, but cannot modify them. x The creen diplay may differ depending on the connected device.
