1 MUSIC PROCEDURES All music needs to be uploaded by June 5, 2018 To upload via internet: Go to your existing Box account or create an account at Select a Personal Account (Free for 10gb of secured storage.) Create a folder with your Club Name and Event - i.e. SilverMoon_RIX2018 Assign chariotsforhire@gmail.com as collaborator of the folder. Please have ONE person at your club in charge of uploading your music. Prior to uploading, please be sure to RENAME your music file s attributes as described below: if you load files named Track1, Track2 the music manager will have to rename them for you and will incur a fee of $5 per file. Please change these music file attributes for each music file (detailed instructions below): File name (on the computer) and Title (name inside of itunes) should be the same. Artist should be your club name. (Silver Moon Vaulters, Falconwood Vaulters) Album should be RIX2018 ONLY MP3 File Formats are allowed! This is the naming convention needed for the file name and title for individuals: CLASSNUMBER_CLASSNAME_clubabbreviation_FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_AVANUMBER. Use underscores when naming so there are no spaces in the filename. For team classes, use the team name in place of the vaulter name. Examples: 34B_CopperFS_WTV_JaneDoe_Y05 03B_CTeamFS_WTV_WillowTreeFlyingAngels 00_RunIn_AllCanterGoes_WillowTreeVaulters_WTV 01_Compulsories_AllTrotClasses_WillowTreeVaulters_WTV Examples of music that is used for multiple classes: 34B_63B_CopperUnratedBarrelFS_SMV_JaneVaulter_2L8 Music will be reviewed and question about missing and/or corrupt music will need to be resolved. Please add a Box note File (i.e.contactinfo box note) with your name, , mobile phone with your preferred method of contact. No CD s will be accepted. If no music is provided, none will be played.

2 Details for changing Attributes itunes Find a song you want to upload and check to see what format it is in my right clicking on the header bar where it says Name, Time, Artist, Album etc. and select Kind (you can deselect any you do not need in the view) Before you start changing the format of your songs, you need to go to Edit->Preferences then make sure General is highlighted up at the top. Then click on Import Settings.

3 Then select MP3 Encoder, then click OK and then OK again. Now you are ready to convert your files. If you have a song that you have imported or purchased on itunes, you can create an mp3 version by right clicking on the song and then selecting Create MP3 Version

4 Now the Name, Album and Artist need to be changed. Then click on Recently Added tab in the left hand margin. Right click on the music file and then choose Get Info This is where you can change the Name, Artist and Album.

5 Name or Title should be changed to: CLASSNUMBER_CLASSNAME_clubabbreviation_FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_AVANUMBER Ex: 34A_CopperComps_WTV_JaneDoe_Y05 03B_CTeamFS_WTV_WillowTreeFlyingAngels RunIn_AllCanterGoes_WillowTreeVaulters_WTV Compulsories_AllTrotClasses_WillowTreeVaulters_WTV The Artist should be changed to your Team Name (not Album Artist) The Album should be changed to RIX2018 This only changes the hidden information or attributes inside the music file. The filename itself will still need to be changed. Create a new folder to hold all your new MP3 music files. Now Right Click on the music file again and select the Show in Windows Explorer Now you can either drag and drop it into your new folder you created or you can copy and paste the new MP3 version file. I usually create a folder named Fest Music inside my Music folder. After you have copied your MP3 in the new folder, you will need to rename the music file using the same naming convention when you changed the title inside of itunes. Now you are ready to upload the file to box.com If you would rather watch a video try Same steps for converting, but they do not cover changing the attributes. If you already have your files converted to mp3 format and you just need to change the file attributes or tags, look at this video If you are still having problems or do not understand these directions, please call or .
