3 3. General International Customer Support This Field Change Order details the installation of the Motion I/O Delay kit. The device is used to create a time delay between the 24VDC and the 5VDC power supply to the Galil controller when first powering up or restarting the machine. 4. Reason for Change The installation of the Motion I/O Delay prevents unwanted output from the Galil controller such as the Pneumatic System output when first powering up or restarting the machine (i.e. Cutter and mesh system) 5. Estimated Installation Time One hour. 6. Implementation Implement this FCO on printers up to the following serial numbers: NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 # NUR Fresco HiQ 1800 # Required Additional Tools Soldering Kit 8. Installation Procedure: 1. Power down the printer. 2. Locate the Galil Controller, in the Electrical Cabinet (refer to Figure 1). Note: Refer to Appendix A at the end of this document while performing this FCO. Remove the cable W13 as follows: Locate the cable W 13 (refer to Figure 2). Disconnect the Molex connector of cable W13 from the Molex connector J13 on the main board (refer to Figure 2). 4. Disconnect the distal end of the cable W 13 from the motion power suppliers (PS) 5VDC and 24VDCas follows: Remove the plastic covers on both power suppliers. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the wires connected to both 5VDC and 24VDC power suppliers (refer to Figure 3). Motion I/O Delay FC Page 4 of 13

Position the reset switch bracket (from kit)) as shown in Figure Use a 4 mm Allen key to tighten the screw (from kit) that secures the rest switch bracket (refer to Figure 4). 8. Hold the green and black wires connected to the reset switch and slide them through the slot on the bracket. 9. Insert the reset switch (from kit) into the hole of the reset switch bracket until it snaps in (refer to Figure 4). Motion I/O Delay FC Page 5 of 13

7 8.1 Connecting the Cable # International Customer Support 1. Connect the Molex connector of the cable # to the Molex connector J13, on the main board (refer to Figure 2). 2. Connect the following wires to the 5 VDC PS as follows: Red wire to the +V screw (refer to Figure 6 and Appendix A). Black wire to the -V screw (refer to Figure 6 and Appendix A). 3. Connect the following wires to the 24 VDC PS as follows: Red wire to the +V screw (refer to Figure 6 and Appendix A). Green wire to the -V screw (refer to Figure 6 and Appendix A). International Customer Support 4. Connect the blue (BL) and black () wires of the reset switch as follows: Remove the shrink from both wires and strip the wires.

Note: Use the tin wire from the soldering kit to perform the steps below. Solder the blue (BU) wire to the reset switch J13, the one closer to the Molex connector, on the reset switch (refer to Figure 7). Solder the black () wire, next to the blue wire, on the reset switch (refer to Figure 7). 5. Secure the two wires above (Blue and black) to the mainboard bracket with a tie-wrap (refer to Figure 8). Note: If you have difficulties soldering the two wires from above, try the alternative soldering points located below the obsolete reset switch (refer to Figure 9). 10 International Customer Support 6. Route the cable from underneath the shelf, on the left corner of the Power Supply. 7. Open the horizontal cable duct and insert the cable unit. 8. Connect the remaining four wires of cable # to the timing relay (from kit) as follows (refer to Figure 10 and Appendix A). Green wire to A2 (in the Timing Relay). White wire to 18 (in the Timing Relay). Red Wire to A1 (in the Timing Relay). Red Wires to 15 (in the Timing Relay). 9. Snap on the Time Relay to the mounting rail (refer to Figure 1). 10. On the Time relay, verify that the upper setting is set to "1s" and the lower setting to "5" (refer to Figure 10). Note: The new Reset Switch is superseding the Main Board and Galil reset switch.
