7 OPTICAL SENSORS IDT optical sensors products offer UVA and UVB light sensing, ambient light sensing, RGB color sensing, and proximity sensing. The ambient light sensor (ALS) and proximity sensor enable sophisticated display control in mobile devices. The RGB sensor improves camera flash and picture quality, while the UV sensors provide accurate information about UVA and UVB exposure. Measuring UVA and UVB Exposure for Improved Wellness The risks associated with UV rays, whether getting too much or too little, are well-documented. Overexposure can lead to skin cancer, and underexposure can result in seasonal affect disorder (SAD) or low levels of Vitamin D. IDT s UV sensor ICs accurately sense the UVA and UVB light spectrum, offering consumers a better understanding of their environment so they can monitor and avoid risks associated with UV exposure. 14 OSCILLATORS IDT s oscillators offer designers a reliable and economical timing solution. The XL and XU Family of devices from IDT are low phase noise crystal-based PLL oscillators supporting a large range of frequencies and output waveform types. These devices are available in multiple package sizes as well as temperature grades. With a patented one-time program (OTP) memory allowing for infinite memory shelf life, the devices can be accurately programmed from 16kHz to 1500MHz with frequency resolution down to 1Hz accuracy. The configuration capability of these devices allows for fast delivery times for both sample and large manufacturing orders.
