7 CA SYSVIEW Performance Management CA RS PTF RO RO61467 RO61467 M.C.S. ENTRIES = ++PTF(RO61467) DESC(IMS parm SKIP-DLI-SLOG-RECORDS not honored) Increase CPU may be noticed in an IMS environment with the SYSVIEW IMS option active. The default setting for option SKIP-DLI-SLOG-RECORDS in the IMSLOGR parmlib member was changed to 'NO' in SYSVIEW release 13.5, however, when attempting to change the parameter back to 'YES' at 13.5 or 13.7 it resulted in no change due to an invalid code branch that bypassed the setting. This fix changes the default value of SKIP-DLI-SLOG-RECORDS to YES. Increased CPU when upgrading to 13.5 or higher when the SYSVIEW IMS component is turned on. Increased CPU usage in IMS transactions. At 13.9 the SKIP-DLI-SLOG-RECORDS can simply be updated to 'YES' in order to turn off the recording. Once changed you need to recycle the IMSDATA task to bounce all the IMSLOGRs for the change to take affect. In SYSVIEW 13.5 or 13.7 you need to change the IMSLOGR PARMLIB member to include the following prior to the )EOF statement. PROCESS-DCM-TYPE x4e:x62:reset PROCESS-DCM-TYPE x4e:x63:reset Then recycle the IMSDATA task to bounce all the IMSLOGRs in order to set SKIP-DLI-SLOG-RECORDS to 'YES'.
