Requirements for the file that is being uploaded: Format: CSV or TXT Format must be a column, not a line. Starting at the top left put the NatCode, a comma, and then the ISO country code. A maximum of 19 vehicles can be uploaded. If the file contains more vehicles than that, there will be a message Compare will check for correct format and existence of NatCodes. Depending on the Reference Market (RM) selected, only those vehicles corresponding to the RM will be shown. So if you have one Dutch NatCode in a list of French Cars and you are uploading the file while the RM is set to Netherlands, only that one car will show. For UCC: before uploading a file, first mileage and first registration is to be set up. When mileage is not entered, average mileage is used. For UCC we then will also check if natcode matches first registration. Please note: code for Great Britain is GB (not UK). Sample file: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\MAV\MA Search list shows price and fuel type Search list now shows price and fuel type FCC Settings: fix mileage and age Mileage and age for FCC can be fixed in the Settings. 8/24

EurotaxCompare Common procedures in COMPARE 5 Common procedures in COMPARE This section contains detailed information about common procedures in COMPARE. The procedures described in this chapter are valid for both modules, National and International modules. Here you get information about: printing the calculation saving, loading and deleting comparisons exporting calculations Printing the calculation COMPARE allows to easily print your currently opened calculation to an Acrobat Reader file (*.pdf). If the Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed on your system, you cannot use the print function. If necessary, contact your system administrator. Proceed as follows to print an existing calculation: 1. Click on the 'Print' button in the navigation bar on the left to print the currently opened calculation. The 'Print' page is opened. 42/48

EurotaxCompare Common procedures in COMPARE 2. At the top of the page select the vehicle you want to compare with the reference vehicle, i.e. you want to print to the pdf file. Activate the corresponding radio button. It is only possible to select one comparison vehicle for the printout. 3. In the lower area of the page, select the data you want to print. Activate the corresponding checkbox(es). If you want to select for example all drive equipment, just activate the 'Drive' checkbox. The checkboxes of all drive equipment are automatically activated. 4. After you have specified your options, click the 'Print' button. The following page appears. 5. Click the 'download' button. The calculation data are saved to an pdf file and opened in the Acrobat Reader. Saving, loading and deleting comparisons COMPARE allows to save, load and delete comparisons. Thus it is not required for example to perform the same comparison several times. Saving a comparison means saving it on the COMPARE server so it is available for later use. Saving a comparison 1. After you have completed the current comparison, click on the 'Save/Restore' button in the navigation bar on the left. The 'Save / Load' page is opened. In the lower area of the page already saved comparisons and forecasts are listed, if available. Beneath other information relevant for the different types of comparisons the name under which it was saved and the date of saving the comparison are displayed. 2. Click into the 'Name' input field and enter the desired name for the current comparison. 3. Click on the 'Save' button. Your comparison is now stored and added to the list of already saved comparisons/forecasts. 43/48

EurotaxCompare Common procedures in COMPARE Loading a comparison If you want to reuse a comparison you have saved before (as described above) proceed as follows: 1. Open the 'Save/Load' page by clicking the 'Load' button on the 'Reference model' page or by clicking the 'Save/Restore' button in the navigation bar on the left (if you are currently working in a specific module). 2. On the 'Save/Load' page, click the comparison name you want to load as shown in the following figure. The 'Technical Info' page is opened displaying the calculation results of the selected comparison. Deleting a comparison Proceed as follows to delete an existing comparison from the COMPARE server: 1. Open the 'Save/Load' page as described in the procedure above 'Loading a comparison'. 2. On the 'Save/Load' page click the icon assigned to the comparison you want to delete. A dialog is opened asking you if you really want to delete the comparison. 3. Confirm the dialog with 'OK' to delete the selected comparison. Exporting the calculation COMPARE provides an export function for calculations. This way you can export your existing calculations to a Microsoft Excel file (*.xls). If Microsoft Excel is not installed on your system, you cannot use the export function of COMPARE. If necessary, contact your system administrator. Proceed as follows to export an existing calculation: 1. Click on the 'Export' button in the navigation bar on the left to export the currently opened calculation. The 'Export' page is opened. 44/48

EurotaxCompare Common procedures in COMPARE 2. At the top of the page select the vehicles you want to compare with the reference vehicle, i.e. you want to export to the Excel file. Activate the corresponding checkbox(es). 3. In the lower area of the page, select the equipment you want to have in the export file. Activate the corresponding checkbox(es). If you want to select for example all drive equipment, just activate the 'Drive' checkbox. The checkboxes of all drive equipment are automatically activated. 4. After you have specified your options, click the 'Export' button. The following page appears. 5. Click the 'download' button. The exported calculation data are opened in an Excel Plugin for further editing. 45/48

EurotaxCompare Additional Features 6 Additional Features Value Added Tax Table (VAT) The Value Added Tax table shows the tax values since 1990 for all countries used in the current calculation. It is part of both modules, National and International module. The table is opened by clicking the 'VAT' button in the navigation bar. Hitlist of important calculation values The hitlist displays the most important calculation values of all vehicles in the current calculation and provides a sorting function. The reference model is represented on a blue background (as shown in the following figure). To open the hitlist, click the 'Hit list' button in the navigation bar of the different modules. To sort the table according to specific criteria, click on the hyper link at the top of a column. If you want for example sort the hitlist according to the residual vehicle value just click the hyper link 'Residual vehicle value'. The current sorting is displayed at the top of the table (in the example below the entries are sorted according to the historical new price). Graphical display of residual values COMPARE allows to display the calculated residual values in a two- or three-dimensional bar chart. The calculated prices can be either displayed as absolute numbers or as percentage values. Which type of bar chart (two-dimensional or three-dimensional) is used for the display of the residual values and how the prices are displayed by default (as absolute numbers or as percentage values) depends on the settings for the parameters 'Bar chart' and 'Chart type' you made on the 'Settings' page. For a description of the 'Settings' page refer to the section 'COMPARE Settings' on page 7. To display the bar chart, click the 'Chart' button in the navigation bar of the different modules. 46/48

EurotaxCompare Additional Features Graph examples Two-dimensional graph of an used car comparison in the International module displaying the prices as absolute numbers: Three-dimensional graph of a new car comparison in the National module displaying the prices as percentage values: 47/48
