Activity 1 evaluation Over the past few months in ICT we had been doing our GCSE coursework which was based on the CAB. In this evaluation I will be telling you about the 3 main activities I did and telling you the Purpose, language, layout and audience of it. Logo Before we started the logo first we had to master a few techniques to practice in order to complete the logo making activity. Firstly we had to visit an application called Photoshop. Photoshop is an application where you can edit images/pictures and make them look realistic. This was the application I used to make my logo. When we first started our logo we had to make four basic plans to have a rough idea about how our logo would look like. When we finished we could start doing our final logo. When I was doing my logo I found it very easy to do it because of the techniques I mastered. When the logo was finished it turned out really well and the colours I used stand out. Overall I was very pleased with my logo. The purpose of this logo is to attract people to come to my event and know what the logo is about. Audience for this logo is aimed at every age from grandparents to children. Language used is very simple some of the feedback I received on the final version was that it was pretty good and I had received comments like it is very attractive and bright so it stands out. These are the sort of comments I was expecting from my test buddy, and I was rather pleased with them. At the end of the activity I had to do a review which we had to fill in the questions they asked us. The feedback that I got from my test buddy was the writing font needs to be able to read because you can t see it I improved this by changing the font of my logo. This is how my final version of the logo turned out Track list
When we first started the track list firstly there was an application which was on the CAB with different types of music from different types of years to different types of genres and we had to add 3 of our own songs to it which had to be released within the past year. I chose Animal by Connor Maynard, DNA by Little Mix and Diamonds by Rihanna. Then we had to choose if you wanted to put it all by the same genre or the same year so I chose by the same genre. The next step was to copy all the music you chose into a word document and lower it to a number of songs. After we had to make a track list and format it with the songs on it and also add my logo on it. What went well for the activity is that I made a decent track list which it looked good. Even better if I did more formatted my track list more to make it look professional. The purpose of this track list is to make the DJ and the volunteers aware about what songs they are going to hear at my event. The songs are aimed at everyone who comes to my event so there are a wide range of old songs to new. The layout of the songs be going to be on A3 papers and the songs are going to be in alphabetical order with the most common first, This is how my final version of the track list turned out Audio clip Before we started the Audio clip firstly we had to choose songs off YouTube to put as the background music of the audio clip. Well I chose Azonto instrumental and we are never getting back together instrumental. The next step was to put it on a music application and then mix any song together, so I mixed the two instrumental songs together and then played it but it did not go well together so I used only one instrumental which was azonto.
For homework we had to create a voice audio to put it in our audio clip but it had to be at least 25 seconds long. The next step was to put our voice audio on the audio clip and then made it to sound right with the beats. The purpose of this audio clip is to attract more people and residents to come and unite. The audio clip is aimed at all age s ranges (people who listen to the radio mostly) from grandparents to teenagers. The language used is clear and easy to understand. The layout of this audio clip is very simple there is a tune at the start and then comes the save the date announcement, with the ending tune. Spread sheet Model Activity 2 Evaluation The community spirit event needed careful planning to ensure that it is a success so we made a spread sheet model to help us with planning our community event. The purpose of the event spread sheet was to plan what will be there at the event and the ideas we had. Layout of the event was simple and easy to read. The event spread sheet was to also answer the following questions: 1. What if we change the price of tickets? 2. What if we use different suppliers? 3. What if we charge each charity a higher fee? 4. What if we have fewer charity pitches and more visitors? In the event spread sheet we used spin buttons because it would be easier and quicker to help us answer the questions. The feedback that I received from my test buddy is that it is good but to make it more clear and easy to understand. I will do this by making the font attractive so that it is easy and clear to understand.
Recommendations The recommendations we made was to tell people what we will recommend. The purpose of this recommendation was to tell people what will be there at the community spirit event. Audience is aimed at all ages from teenage years to grandparents. The language I used was simple and effective and very easy to understand and it was not complicated. The layout of the recommendations is very attractive and simple and effective to read and is suitable for all ages. The recommendations I included was: 1. The logo and strap line 2. Suggestions for the event 3. Values from your model to support your recommendations 4. Charts to illustrate your findings. The feedback that I received from my recommendations is that the overall presentation is good and the layout used is clear and easy to use. Even better if I used less information on each slide and tried to break it down.
Digital Advert We had to make a digital advert which included: 1. The logo and strap line 2. Information about community spirit 3. Details of the event 4. Suitable images 5. How a charity would register their interest in hiring a pitch. The reason why I made the digital advert is to attract charities and volunteers. The purpose for this digital advert is to promote the event to attract people to come and promote and help the event be successful. The audience for this digital advert is aimed at all ages from teenager s to grandparents. The language used was simple and easy to read. The layout used was very effective and attractive by the bright colours used. The feedback that I received from my teacher is that it s good but try not to use too much information on one
slide and make it look more attractive by adding different shapes of text. I improved this by adding bubbles behind the text so it looked attractive, overall my digital advert looked very attractive and easy to read. Activity 3 Evaluation Over the past few months in ICT we have been we have been doing our GCSE course work which was based on the CAB. In this evaluation I will be telling you about the 3 main tasks in Activity 3 which were Animated Banner, E-newsletter and Story Board. Animated Banner In activity 3 the first task we had to do was the animated banner. In order to do the task we went to software called Adobe Fireworks. Adobe firework is software which is specifically used for web graphics, mobile designs, animated banner and many more. At first I found it difficult to make the animated banner but with all the skills we mastered on activity 2 with fireworks I was able to do it. The skills that I encountered in activity 3 was making the animation look realistic sand time consuming. As I was doing my animated banner it was a slow start but I gradually increased. Overall the logo really turned out well. The purpose of my animated banner is to attract more people to come to my event and know what is going to be there. The audience for this animated banner is aimed at everyone, aged ranged from kids to grandparents. Language use is very simple so everyone would be able to understand it. The layout of this animated banner is attractive so everyone would see it. The feedback that I got was very good and I was rather pleased with it. This is a brief image of how my animated banner is looks like E-newsletter The first task in the E Newsletter was to create plan for our E newsletter. I found it very easy and was confident of making the plan. Then we had to create our E newsletter using software called Front Page. Firstly when we opened front page we had to create 3 new pages called Homepage, Charities and Event overview these were what our pages were going to be called. At first I got off to a fast start because I knew what I was doing I managed my time very well, each lesson I was doing a page. The skills that were most
useful to me was to transfer my digital advert, animated banner and audio clip to my newsletter this is how I made my work successful. The difficulties I encountered were transferring my newsletter, audio clip and animated banner. I overcame this problem by watching the video over and over again. The purpose of this E newsletter was to attract more people to my event. The audience for this E newsletter is aimed at everyone. Layout is very constant throughout my page. The feedback I had was good and I was pleased with it. This is a screen shot of my homepage
This is a screen shot of my charities page This is a screen shot of my events page This is how my final version turned out. Overall I am pleased with my work.
Story Board First of all when we started the story board we had to design a template of our story board for our final version I found this task very easy to cope with. With this activity the time managed was on point I was able to finish the whole story board. What I could have done to make my work more successful is to make my story board more detailed enough to make it look consistent throughout. The purpose of this story board was to give me a brief outline of how my final version would turn out and it would be easier to use. The audience of this story board was to show me how my E newsletter would turn out. The language used in this story board is very simple to read. Layout for this story board is simple and I used the same layout throughout the story board. The feedback that I got from my test buddy that it was very colourful and well lay out. I believe that there is nothing that I need to change for my story board. These are the 3 stages of my story board which was the plan of how my e newsletter would look like.
