2 General Overview Select a whole region by clicking on it, or hover the cursor over a region to see a list of countries, then select a specific state Select an Industry, Country Risk or Financial Markets All clients will see a similar screen to the one above when they log in (depending on their level of access). The platform is set up with a matrix structure, Country Risk, Financial Markets and Industries on the left and Regions/Countries along the top. We recommend selecting from the left, then picking a specific region/country. NB Commodities coverage is Global. Country Risk includes Macroeconomics, Political Risk and Business Environment research.

The blue header at the top of the screen lets you know which part of BMO you re looking at. The Three Pillars of BMO are highlighted above the following pages explain in more detail what is covered by each pillar.

Data & Forecasts The Compare & Export Data link opens up BMI s proprietary database. Access to all data is available regardless of the page that the link is opened from.

Historical data goes back to 1990, where available, and BMI s own forecasts are provided: 10 years for Macro indicators, 5-10 years for Industry indicators.

4 Data & Forecasts The Compare & Export Data link opens up BMI s proprietary database. Access to all data is available regardless of the page that the link is opened from. The database contains historical and forecast data for over 185 countries across Macroeconomic and Industry indicators. Historical data goes back to 1990, where available, and BMI s own forecasts are provided: 10 years for Macro indicators, 5-10 years for Industry indicators. The blue arrows open country lists per region, select any number of countries to compare and click the Next link below The next screen offers the list of indicators. Up to 550 Macroeconomic indicators are available per country. The number of indicators varies between industries; with typically per country available. Again, the blue arrows provide the ability to breakdown Macro/Industry categories to specific indicators. Make your selection and click Next. The next screen provides a summary of your selections. Click Export to open the data in Excel. BMI provide Risk vs. Rewards ratings for each Industry that it covers, providing a quantitative overview of our views for each country. Similar ratings are also provided for Country Risk, assessing Macroeconomic, Political and Business Environment Risk. Please ask your Account Manager for further details.

5 Strategic Analysis BMI s Country Risk and Industry research teams produce quarterly reports for each country that they cover. The Industry Reports provide detailed analysis on the trends, developments, market overview, competitive environment and company profiles. Country specific industry forecasts are included. The Business Forecast Reports (available under the Country Risk service) look at medium to long term macro and political trends and include ten year forecast data. The chapters of the report are broken down under the Strategic Analysis heading for quick viewing. Read More opens the chapter; View All gives that chapter from previous reports. The orange box on the right hand side of each page gives the option to read the full report online, Read as HTML or download the report as a PDF, Latest PDF, all past reports can also be viewed.
