3 How to Access IHS Connect Two easy ways to get started Go directly to: From any page on click on the IHS Customer Login box in the right-hand corner and select IHS Connect.

4 Logging In Input your corporate address and password to access IHS Connect Need a password? Click Forgot Password, enter your corporate address, and click Request Password. You will receive confirmation that your password has been sent to your address and be provided with a link to log in. Not Registered? Click Register for access, follow the registration steps, click Submit, and IHS Customer Care will issue you login credentials to IHS Connect.

6 Foresight Country Risk Scores Security Risk View More granular risk scores allow for more precise evaluation of security risk: Additional risk categories give more detail for the Property risk category Protests and riots, Terrorism, Interstate war and Civil war. Quantify risk with greater specificity using a scoring system based on a more precise logarithmic scale. Seven risk bands provide a threshold to compare and contrast risks between countries and regions. 10 Country Risk - Risks and Ratings Compare and evaluate country ratings (1) A league table to measure countries riskiness Select the Risk Menu on the main navigation bar, then select Country Risk > Risks and Ratings Menu options will appear based on the user s access or company subscription.

Toggle between Ratings Table or Map View Customize view using regional filters or creating regional aggregates (My Regions)

13 Data Browser Tool Search, review, save and manipulate country risk scores Select the Risk Menu on the main navigation bar, then select Country Risk Select the Country Risk Ratings dataset under Tools > Data Browser Select Risk category from Concept menu, Country from Geography and Frequency to Select, View, Save and Export risk scores

Click on the Full Report link for a comprehensive report Risk Ratings module highlights risk categories from the new risk ratings system The overall score offers a forwardlooking 1-year risk assessment The arrow provides the outlook beyond 1 year Click the arrow and expand the view to see sub-aggregate risk categories and ratings Filter Headline Analysis by risk type HINT: Headline Analysis comprises the same content as Insight Briefs on Foresight Click the category name to view a graph of historical risk score changes

18 Map Interactive visualization tool for location-specific risk assessments (2) Click on the Layers drop down to display the Location Risk heat map layers and Pins available Orange pins mark local risk events on the map. Click the pin to display the event The Intelligence Events and Terrorist Targets tabs provides a list of events that correspond to the area displayed on the map Use Search to find specific intelligence events. Filter your results by risk type, keyword, or publication date Blue pins mark Terrorist targets on the map. Click the pin to display analysis.

19 Report Builder Build Custom Reports Click on the + sign next to analysis, maps, tables, charts to add to a folder under My Connect. Access My Saved under My Connect, and select Build Report. Name the report, and click Apply. After viewing any content unavailable for Report Builder, review Title, add Subtitle and Introduction and select content from the Content List to include in your report. Use Ordered By to arrange saved content by Type, by Country and Custom. In Custom, drag and drop articles to your preferred order. Use Add your section to create a custom comment section. Save to copy to a specified My Saved folder; Export to PDF or Export to Word.

20 Search and Alerts Key features: Filter the search by: Published date (defaults to Last 6 months), Geography, Risk type, Content type, Document format, and Report Author Boolean operators include AND, OR and NOT options Click on Save Search to save the search criteria into My Connect and to enable alerts HINT: Frequency of any alert can be changed through: My Connect > settings

Hover over to search Help or Visit our online help center for training and support. Hover over to show subscribed content or all content. Hover over to update your profile, change your password, or log out.
