We have added the option to work with an alternate abc reference system. Almost every balancing machine manufacturer works with abc dimensions based upon the left support serving as baseline.

However, Schenck uses a different method: a = distance between left plane and left support, c = distance between right plane and right support, and b = distance between planes. This option allows to apply either of these two methods This option can be set by the user in the Instrumentation setup screen. A message window will make sure the operator is aware of this, and will also explain how to switch back to auto-ranging (by simply pressing the period key). We have added self-diagnostics to the rotor database. It can now detect corrupt rotor files and repair the complete database by excluding the corrupt subsets, without the whole database becoming unusable.
