4 PRODUCT OVERVIEW The Schwab RT Responsive Particpant Web experience is a device-sensitive redesign of the high traffic areas of the exisitng website, using the latest technology. The Login page, home page with integrated tiles, and streamlined navigation features are included in the redesign. All remaining functionality/pages on the participant site will be referred to as classic functionality. These pages will maintain their current (non-responsive) functionality with an improved look and feel. The header, footer and navigation of these classic pages will be updated to match the look of the new participant site. Participants will be directed to these classic pages through the new site navigation. The following illustration shows the new home page along with the Your Portfolio, Future Deposits, and Video Learning Center tiles that can be expanded for viewing in the main window. 5 Responsive Layouts The new Home page has a responsive layout that automatically adjusts to the device that the participant is using to view the site. Three-column layout for desktop, laptop, and tablet (landscape) Single-column layout for mobile phone and tablet (portrait) Site Map For a comprehensive view of the new web pages and how they are linked, see the Site Map later in this document. The Site Map also identifies the pages that have been removed from the site. New Customization Options Options for customizing the skins and menus for the new participant web pages are located on the Administration tab of the Plan Sponsor/Advisor Portal. Skins and branding assigned to the new web pages will be applied to the classic participant pages. Page layout of classic web pages will not change. Limited customization of the new web page content is available by request via the Customer Portal and requires a statement of work. The content of classic pages will continue to be controlled using Content Manager in Schwab RT Administration. Third Party Requirements (IRIO) IRIO, the Integrated Retirement Income Optimizer from vwise, is an integrated feature of the new participant home page. If IRIO is not implemented on your site when you upgrade to the new home page, the YOUR FUTURE section of the Here s an Overview window, shown below, will not appear. To implement IRIO, please request a statement of work via the Customer Portal. After the required agreement is signed, you will be provided with the necessary implementation procedures. Note: IRIO is a powerful online tool that encourages participants to contribute more to the plan, if applicable. IRIO estimates monthly income at retirement, offers options for increasing deferral rates, and illustrates the impact that deferral rate changes can have on retirement income. 7 GETTING STARTED This section summarizes the steps required to implement the new Responsive Participant Web for new clients who have not yet set up a participant website as well as for existing clients who already have the Schwab RT classic website in production. For New Clients 1. Secure Schwab RT contracts as needed (e.g., investment Performance). 2. Secure contracts with third party vendors as needed (e.g., vwise, Newkirk, MasteryPOINT). 3. In Schwab RT Administration, do the following: Note: Access to Schwab RT Administration requires security permission for the SchwabRT Admin system in the Security User Wizard. Define Global Password Rules (Security > Global Settings). Define System Authentication Options and other system settings (System Options). Enable Image Based Authentication, if applicable (Plan Options > System Options). Customize text content on classic web pages if needed (Web Options > Content Manager). Define Plan Options, Report Options, and additional Web Options, as needed. For oversight of participant accounts via the Schwab RT Portal, create an operator security account for the Plan Sponsor Web or Financial Advisor Web systems (Security > User Wizard). 4. In Schwab RT Recordkeeping, do the following: Set plan-level default PIN/Password format for online enrollment. Generate PINs/Passwords for participant web. 5. To configure and test the pages of the new Responsive website, follow the steps listed under For Existing Clients / Configuring New Repsonsive Web Pages on the following page. 8 For Existing Clients Migrated Settings When you upgrade to the new web, the following elements will automatically be migrated from the classic web: Participant Login IDs and passwords (SSNs must include dashes to be valid on the new web). Custom page content. Brand and co-brand logos and corresponding links. All other web related settings previously defined in Schwab RT Administration. Configuring New Repsonsive Web Pages To configure the new responsive web pages, use the Schwab RT Portal to do the following: 1. Assign skins to plans (See Assigning Skins and Brand Logos for Participant Web). 2. Create menus and assign to plans (See Managing Participant Web Menus ). 3. Configure the Employee Census report, if needed. 4. Request custom content for new pages, if needed (See Customizing Content ) 5. View/test all pages, including the Secondary Menu options. 9 ASSIGNING SKINS AND BRAND LOGOS FOR PARTICIPANT WEB Assigning Skins To assign a skin to one or more plans for the participant web: 1. On the Portal s Administration tab, select Skin Manager Participant Web from the sub menu. 2. Select a skin from the Skin Selection menu. Note: A preview of the selected skin in desktop mode appears in the Skin Preview box at the right. If needed, use the icons at the top of the to change to tablet and mobile views. 3. In the Plan Selection box, select the plan(s) that will use the selected skin. Note: Use the Filter field to search the list of plans. To select a plan, click the check box name. To select all available plans, click the check box at the upper left corner of the box. next to the plan 4. To save the current settings, click Save at the top right corner of the page. 5. The new skin assignment will appear in the plan search table at the bottom of the page. Note: You can use the plan search table to view the skins (current and classic) and logos currently assigned to the available plans. Note: Skins will also be applied to classic pages. 13 Assigning Brand Logos and Co-Logos To assign brand logos and links to plans: 1. To assign default brand and co-brand images and links to the available plans, click Assign Default Logos (under skin preview on the Assign a Skin page), and click Save. 2. To assign brand logos/links to a specific plan, overriding any default logo assignment, do the following: a. In the plan search table at the bottom of the page, click the Plan ID in the Plan column to display the settings. b. Define the brand and co-brand images and links, and click Save. 14 Filtering Plan Search Table Data To customize the data grid, click the filter options button at the upper right corner of the table. You can use these options, shown below, to define custom filters and apply them to your data and to show / hide individual table columns. Notes: You can use the + to button create multiple search filters. Multiple filters use AND logic which means that all filters will be applied to the data when you click Apply Filters. Tables are automatically reset to their original state when you log out of the site; filters are not saved. DRAFT: October 21, 2018 Page 14 of 51

15 MANAGING PARTICIPANT WEB MENUS Creating a New Participant Menu To create a menu for the participant web: 1. On the Portal s Administration tab, select Navbar Manager from the sub menu. 2. The page defaults to Participant Web > Create. 3. Under Create a Menu, select New, if necessary. This is the default setting. 4. Select the desired language, if necessary. The page defaults to English. Note: The Spanish language option is not available in the initial release of the new participant web. 5. Type the menu name and click Create. The Participant Base Menu appears at the lower right, with options to add new menu and sub menu links at the left. Details on rearranging and renaming menus are provided later in this document. 6. To create a custom menu on the main menu, do the following: a. Under Main Menu at the left, click Create Custom Link. b. Type the name of the custom menu item. c. Click Add. The custom link appears at the bottom of the menu at the right. 7. To create a custom sub menu link, do the following: a. Under Sub Menu at the left, click Create Custom Link. b. Select the main menu item where the sub menu will appear. c. Type the name of the sub menu item. d. If the custom menu links to an external file, enter the external URL in the URL field. Click Include Session Data if you want to inlcude the Session ID and Plan ID in the URL when the exterrnal link is launched. e. If secure file handling is required for this link, click Secure File and enter the name of the file, its extension, and Plan ID parameter, if required. See Creating Secure File Links for details. f. Click Add. If the link is for an external file, the custom sub menu appears under the selected main menu at the right. 8. To use the current menu as the default menu, click the Use as Default Menu option at the upper right. 9. To save the current settings, click Save at the top right corner of the page. 17 Creating Custom Menu Links for External Files The illustration below demonstrates how you can use the menu controls to add a custom menu and sub menu to a participant menu. Locked Menus The Home main menu and the Your Account sub menu are locked and cannot be modified or removed. All other main menus and sub menus can be modified or removed. In total, the new web supports up to six main menus and 36 sub menus, including the locked Home menu and Your Account sub menu. DRAFT: October 21, 2018 Page 17 of 51

18 Creating Secure File Links for the Custom Menu Secure files reside in the PSR folder on the Z drive. Secure file links are available for the participant web but not the Plan Sponsor/Advisor Portal. Prerequisite: In order to create secure file menu links, the user s Citrix ID must have Secure Drive permissions to access the Z drive. To create secure file links: 1. In Citrix File Explorer, copy your document files to Z:\PSR. 2. In the Portal s NavBar Manager, use the sub menu controls to create a Secure File link: a. Under Sub Menu at the left, click Create Custom Link. b. Click the Secure File check box. c. Select the Main Menu item where the sub menu will appear. d. Type the name of the sub menu item. e. In the File Name field, enter the name of the file, its extension, and Plan ID parameter, if the link is plan specific. f. Click Add. The link will be added to appropriate menu at the right. 19 Reordering Menu Links You can reorder a menu by dragging and dropping menu items to a new location. In the following example, the custom menu and sub menu have been relocated from their original positon at the bottom of the menu. Renaming and Deleting Menu Items To rename a menu item, click on the caret at the right, type the new name in the Navigation Label field, and click Save. If the menu item is a custom menu or sub menu, an option to delete the item also appears when you click the caret. DRAFT: October 21, 2018 Page 19 of 51

20 Cloning an Existing Participant Menu To make a copy of an existing menu: 1. On the Portal s Administration tab, select Navbar Manager from the sub menu. 2. Under Create a Menu, click Existing, 3. Select an existing menu from the list in the Select Menu Name field. 4. Click Rename and type a new name for the menu. 5. Use the standard menu controls and options (shown previously) to make any necessary modifications to the new menu and click Save at the top right corner of the page. 21 Modifying a Participant Menu To modify an existing menu: 1. On the Portal s Administration tab, select Navbar Manager from the sub menu. 2. Select Modify at the top of the page. 3. Select a menu from the list in the Select Menu Name field. 4. Use the standard menu controls and options (shown previously) to modify the menu. 5. To save changes, click Save. Notes: To reset the menu to its original state, losing any changes, click Reset. To delete the menu, click Delete and then OK on the confirmation window. 22 Assigning Participant Menus to Plans To assign a menu to one or more plans for the participant web: 1. On the Portal s Administration tab, select Navbar Manager from the sub menu. 2. Select Assign at the top of the page. 3. Select a menu from the list in the Select Menu Name field. 4. Select one or plans from the list of avaialble plans. 5. Click Save. 6. The new menu assignment will appear in the plan search table at the bottom of the page. Note: You can use the plan search table to view the menus currently assigned to the available plans. 23 CUSTOMIZING CONTENT For New Responsive Web Pages ASP clients can customize page content on the new participant web using the following procedure. Content changes are supported for the Home page and transition pages only. 1. Submit a request via the Customer Portal with the subject line, Request for Participant Web Content Changes. 2. Schwab RT will send you a a spreadsheet containing the default Participant Web content with instructions on how to modify it. The spreadsheet applies to new pages only; classic web page content can be modified using the Content Manager in Schwab RT Admin. 3. In the spreadsheet, indicate the desired content changes, delete all content that does not require modification, and return to Schwab RT via the Customer Portal. 4. Schwab RT will reivew your request and send you a Statement of Work based on your changes. 5. Sign the Statement of Work and return to Schwab RT via the Customer Portal. 6. SchwabRT will provide a target date for implementing your changes in the ASP. Note: In-house clients can modify the content file directly on their system using a text editor. The name of the content file is <clientid>_content.json. Some content elements require modification of the database. To view the default web page content, see the Field Definitions later in this document. For Classic Web Pages You can use the Content Manager in Schwab RT Administration to customize the text elements that appear on your classic web pages. Content Manager also lets you build additional versions of application content based on user role or language requirement. For each page displayed in Schwab RT Web, there is a corresponding Content Manager option that lets you define that page's headers, messages, field names, button names, and other user-defined information. To modify classic web page content: 1. Log in to Schwab RT Administration. 2. On the Web Options menu, select Content Manager. 3. In the Content Manager fields, select the appropriate language, user role, Web page, and content template. 4. Click Modify Content. The selected application content fields display for modification. 5. Make the necessary changes to the content fields and click Update. DRAFT: October 21, 2018 Page 23 of 51

If multiple plans have the same total balance, plans display alphabetically by Plan Name. 35 Here s What s New Most Recent Tab Definitions Pending Activity Statements Your Contributions * Employer Contributions * This link appears if the participant has any active pending activity. If a SchARP estatement has been published to the participant, this link displays the publication date. The most recent contribution amount and process date displays if a participant made a contribution to any source with a tax type of and has a tax code associated with the transaction that corresponds to the option selected in the Enterprise Tax Map Category 1 for Contributions. If the Participant did not make any contributions to any sources with a tax type of , or if they only made contributions to a rollover source, then this category will not display. If there are any employer contributions, this link displays the most recent amount and process date. Source Types: Tax Types 171 to 180. Enterprise Tax Map: Category 1 Contributions. Loan Repay * This link appears if the participant has made a payment on any kind of loan within the last 90 days. The actual loan payment date is used, not the released date. Auto Rebalance * Income * Total loan payment amount displays, not split out by principal and interest. If any account balance activity (e.g. Transfers, Realignments, Fund Swaps) have been made, this activity will display. An amount will not be displayed. Enterprise Tax Map: Category 8 Fund Transfer. For more information, refer to the Automatic Portfolio Balancing User Guide, available on the Resource Center at schwabrt.com. If there is any investment income (e.g. Interest, Dividends, and Capital Gains) this activity will display. Enterprise Tax Maps: Category 13 Dividends, Category 14 Interest, Category 15 Income. Category 16 Capital Gains (short term and/or long term). * Both the original transaction and reversal transaction would be excluded. Non-reversal negative transactions will be included. 36 Here s What s New Notifications Tab Definitions Notification Badge Greeting Setup Notification count shows total number of notifications available; zero if none available. Displays if the SRT Admin setting Plan Options > Web Options > Allow Participants to Update Address is ON and the user does not have an on file. Once an is on file, the message no longer appears.
