1 Section 1. Main screen After logging in, the Main screen is displayed. The Main screen consists of 4 parts: 1. Header 2. Top menu 3. System Configuration screen 4. Map screen NOTE: You need one RS-MGR2 for each region. You cannot install the RS-MGR2 in a PC in which the CS-FC5000 or CS-FC5000SCS has already been installed. 1. 2 3. System Configuration screen Displays the registered Site s repeaters in a tree view format. Site Repeater Displays the Site codes and Site names. If a Site icon lights red ( ), it means there is a problem with the Site s repeater or network. The Site icons are linked to the icons on the Map. Displays the Repeater IDs. It becomes the abnormal repeater icon ( ) when a problem has occurred. Operations Right-click the Site icon ( ) to select between: Location (System Configuration screen > Location) See "How to change the Site icon location" below. Site Setting (Top Menu > Configuration > Site Setting) Repeater View (Top Menu > Maintenance > Repeater View) Site Properties (Top Menu > Maintenance > Site Properties) Right-click the Repeater icon ( ) to select between: Condition (Top Menu > Maintenance > Condition) Status (Top Menu > Maintenance > Repeater Status) How to change the Site icon location 1. Right-click the Site icon and then select "Location." The Location screen is displayed. 2. Click another place where you want to locate the selected Site icon. 3. Click <Update> to save the setting. 4. Map The Sites registered to the CS-FC5000 are displayed on the Map. The Site code and Site name are displayed along with the icon. If a Site icon blinks red, it means there is a problem with the Site s repeater or network. The Site icons are linked to the icons in the System Configuration screen. If you want to change the location of a Site icon, right-click the Site icon in the System Configuration screen. Then select "Location" to display the Location screen. 2
3 Section 2. Client Management Client Management On this screen, you can configure the RS-MGR2 user accounts. After clicking on the User name, Click <Add> to display the Client Management - Add screen. Click <Edit> to display the Client Management - Edit screen. Click <Authority> to display the Client Management - Authority screen. Click <Delete> to delete the user account. Click <Steal> to acquire an edit authority. NOTE: You can click and use <Steal> only when you are an administrator and "Read-only*." * If there are two or more administrators, the administrator who logged in first has priority. The others are "Read-only." User name Displays the user name of each account. NOTE: You can see all the accounts only when you log in as an administrator. If you log in as a Supervisor or Technician, you can see only your own account. Type Displays the user account type ("Administrator," "Supervisor," or "Technician"). Language Displays the interface language for the user. 3
4 <Add> Click to display to the Client Management - Add screen. <Edit> Click to display to the Client Management - Edit screen. <Authority> Click to display to the Client Management - Authority screen. <Delete> Click to delete the account. NOTE: Before deleting, check the following. At least one Administrator is required. You cannot delete your own account. <Steal> Click to acquire an edit authority. NOTE: You can click and use <Steal> only when you are an administrator and "Read-only*." * If there are two or more administrators, the administrator who logged in first has priority. 9 Client Management - Edit > Mail From Address Enter a sender s address of up to 255 characters. To Address Enter a destination address of up to 255 characters. SMTP Server Enter an SMTP s IP address or Fully-Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of up to 255 characters. SMTP Send Port Enter the SMTP Send Port. SMTPS Select whether or not to use Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Secure (SMTPS). 9
10 POP3 Server Enter a POP3 s IP address or Fully-Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of up to 255 characters. POP3 Receive Port Enter the POP3 Receive Port. POP3S Select whether or not to use POP3S (encrypted communication for POP3) or not. Apop Select whether or not to use Authenticated Post Office Protocol (APOP). Certification Select the certification method for the SMTP. Options: Nothing POP before SMTP Login CRAM-MD5 No certification. Certifies to the selected POP3 Server. Certifies by logging in Certifies by challenge responding using CRAM-MD5. Mail user name Enter a user name of 1 to 64 characters. Usable characters: A to Z, a to z, and 0 to 9 10
11 Mail password Enter a password of up to 64 characters. Usable characters: A to Z, a to z, and 0 to 9 <Test Mail Sending> Click to send a test mail. Error factor: Select whether or not to send an if an error listed below occurs. Click to put a check mark if you want to send an for notification. Tx Pll Unlock Rx Pll Unlock Tx Inhibit Tx Power Low Uplink Cross Busy Downlink Cross Busy Voltage FAN Temperature Temperature Threshold IC-FC5000E Connection CS-FC5000SCS Connection Ping The transmitter PLL is unlocked. The receiver PLL is unlocked. Transmission is inhibited on the channel. The repeater's transmission power is low. The uplink signal is interrupted. The downlink signal is interrupted. The supplied voltage is out of the specified range. The cooling FAN is malfunctioning. The repeater temperature is out of the usable range. The repeater temperature exceeded the set threshold level. There is a connection problem between a repeater and the IC-FC5000E. There is a connection problem between the IC-FC5000E and the CS-FC5000SCS. There is a Ping communication problem between the IC-FC5000E and the RS-MGR2. 11
12 Client Management - Authority On this screen, provide an authority for each setting. Edit Select to enable the account to edit the settings. Read Only Select to inhibit the account from editing the settings (Read Only). Hide Select to hide the setting to avoid being accessible by the account. <Apply> Click to save your changes and go back to the Client Management screen. 12
13 <Cancel> Click to cancel your changes and go back to the Client Management screen. 13
14 Section 3. Configuration Configuration > System Setting On this screen, you can configure the System settings. Log Directory Path Select where to save the System Log. Enter a directory of up to 255 characters. <Up> Click to go to the upper directory. 14
15 Auto Log Archive Set the log data expiry date. The expired data is automatically compressed into the selected folder in Log Directory Path. NOTE: A compressed log data is excluded from the search objects. Options: OFF Does not automatically compress the log data. 1 month The log expiry date is set to 1 month ago. 3 month The log expiry date is set to 3 months ago. 6 month The log expiry date is set to 6 months ago. 12 month The log expiry date is set to 12 months ago. Syslog Protocol These settings are configured in the CS-FC5000. Syslog Port These settings are configured in the CS-FC5000. Command Function Select whether or not to run the executable file. Command File Path Select where to run the executable file. Enter a directory of up to 255 characters. <Up> Click to go to the upper directory. 15
16 <Update> Click to update all the setting data. 16
17 Configuration > Site Setting On this screen, you can configure the Site settings. Site Setting > General These settings are configured in the CS-FC5000. See the CS-FC5000 USER SETTING MANUAL or ask your system manager for details. Site Code Alias IP Address 17
18 Site Setting > SNMP These settings are configured in the CS-FC5000. See the CS-FC5000 USER SETTING MANUAL or ask your system manager for details. Syslog Protocol Syslog Port SNMP Mode Community Auth Type Privacy Type Global Settings When this item is checked, the same value of the SNMP and Ping tab items are set in all repeaters of all sites. <Update> Click to update all the setting data. NOTE: The General tab items are not updated. Timeout Set the SNMP command timeout period to between 3 and 10 seconds. If a timeout occurs often, set it to a longer period of time. NOTE: A longer period of time may make the RS-MGR2 work slower. 18
19 Retry Set the number of retry times to between 0 and 5 for when a command timeout has occurred. Interval Set the interval to send polling commands to a repeater to between 60 and 3,600 seconds or OFF. Temperature Threshold Set the temperature threshold level to between 50 and 90 degrees C. When the repeater's detected temperature is higher than this value, it is regarded as abnormal. 19
20 Site Setting > Ping Global Settings When this item is checked, the same value of the SNMP and Ping tab items are set in all sites. <Update> Click to update all the setting data. NOTE: The General tab items are not updated. Interval Set the interval to send the Ping commands to the specified repeater to between 60 and 3,600 seconds, or OFF. Timeout Set the Ping command Timeout period to between 1 and 10 seconds. When no acknowledgment is received within this set period of time, the Ping send command is canceled. 20
21 Configuration > Save/Load On this screen, you can save and load the settings. Choose File Enter a file to be imported to the RS-MGR2. 1. Click <Browse> to search the directory. 2. Select a file to be imported. 3. Click <Load>. Importing is completed. <Save> Click to export the RS-MGR2 setting file. The file contains System settings and account information set in the Client Management Screen. 21
22 Section 4. Maintenance On this screen, you can see the Site or repeater's real-time status. Maintenance > Site Properties Site Properties > System syscontact Enter the Site manager's name or address of up to 255 letters. sysname Enter an assigned name for the Site (Trunking Controller) of up to 255 letters. syslocation Enter a name for the place where the Site is located of up to 255 letters. <Get> Click to get the Site information from the server. <Set> Click to set the entered information. 22
23 Site Properties > Ping Sent Displays the total number of sent Ping packets. Received Displays the total number of received Ping packets. Lost Displays the total number of lost Ping packets. Error rate (%) Displays the Ping packets loss as a percentage. Minimum (ms) Displays the Minimum Ping response time. Maximum (ms) Displays the Maximum Ping response time. 23
24 Average (ms) Displays the average Ping response time. <Clear> Click to clear the displayed results. 24
25 Maintenance > Repeater View On this screen, you can see the real-time repeater s status at each site. Click beside the "Site" to display all the channels' information. Click beside the "Site" to hide them. CH No. Displays the Repeater's ID. Click to display the Maintenance > Condition Screen. Status Displays the Repeater's Status. Running Offline Error Normal state There is no connection between the IC-FC5000E Trunking Controller and the repeater. There is no connection between the RS-MGR2 and the IC-FC5000E. There is an error or problem at the repeater. Tx Lights red while the repeater is transmitting a signal. Does not light when no signal is transmitted. 25
26 Rx Lights while the repeater is receiving a signal. Does not light when no signal is received. Green Orange Yellow The signal strength level is strong (equal to or more than -102 dbm). The signal strength level is mid (-103 ~ -117 dbm). The signal strength level is weak (equal or less than -118 dbm). From Displays the source transceiver's ID when voice communication is made. To Displays the destination transceiver's ID when voice communication is made. The call type (Individual, Individual (Emer), Group, or Group (Emer)) is also displayed. Tx Frequency Displays the repeater's TX frequency. Rx Frequency Displays the repeater's RX frequency. IP Address Displays the repeater's IP address. 26
27 Maintenance > Repeater Status On this screen, you can see the repeater s status at each site. Click beside the "Site" to display all the channels' information. Click beside the "Site" to hide them. If there is a problem, the item where the problem is detected turns red. <Display items select> Click to open the Display items select window. Put a check mark on items you want to display in the Repeater Status screen. CH No. Displays the Repeater's ID. Voltage Displays the repeater's power supply voltage. Temperature Displays the repeater's internal temperature. 27
28 Pll Unlock (Tx) "Tx Unlock" is displayed when the transmitter PLL is unlocked. Pll Unlock (Rx) "Rx Unlock" is displayed when the receiver PLL is unlocked. Tx Inhibit "Tx Inhibit" is displayed when the transmission is inhibited on the channel. Tx Power Low "Tx Power Low" is displayed when the repeater's transmission power is low. Cross Busy (Uplink) "Uplink interference" is displayed when the uplink signal is interrupted. Cross Busy (Downlink) "Downlink interference" is displayed when the downlink signal is interrupted. Abnormality (Voltage) "Voltage Alert" is displayed when the repeater's voltage is out of the specified range. Abnormality (Temperature) "Temp Alert" is displayed when the repeater's internal temperature is out of the usable range. Abnormality (FAN) "FAN Alert" is displayed when the repeater's cooling fan is malfunctioning. Connection "Disconnect" is displayed when the repeater is disconnected from the IC-FC5000E Trunking Controller. 28
29 Maintenance > Condition On this screen, you can check if any problem occurs at the selected repeater. 1. Click to select a Site and a channel you want to check. 2. Click <Get> to get the information. Date/Time Displays the date and time when the problem occurred. Summary Displays abnormal conditions if any problems occur. <Confirm> (This button is displayed only when the problem is solved.) Click to clear the displayed information. 29
30 Maintenance > Activity On this screen, you can check when any problem occurs in the system. Summary Displays abnormal conditions when any problem occurs. Date/Time Displays the date and time when the problem occurred. 30
31 Maintenance > System Connection On this screen, you can check the System connection information. Region Displays the Region Code. Site Code Displays the Site Code. Link Displays the link status. Region Site Code Link status between the CS-FC5000SCS and the CS-FC5000SCS. Link status between the CS-FC5000SCS and the IC-FC5000E. Time Displays the date and time when the link condition information was acquired. 31
32 Section 5. Log On this screen, you can search or download Registration Log, Communication Log, Traffic Log, and Search Log. Log > Registration Log Filter To search Registration logs, set some search criteria. The Registration logs are displayed, according to the filter settings. Date time range Enter both a starting and an ending date and time to specify the registration log term you want to display. Click the date cell to open a calendar and select a date. NOTE: If you set a long interval, it may take a long time to search the log. Setting minimum required interval is recommended. Fleet ID Enter a Fleet ID between 1 and 5000 to display in Fleet ID. Unit ID Enter a Unit ID between 1 and to display in Unit ID. NOTE: The following IDs are not usable , , , , , , , ,

Call type Select the Call type from Individual, Individual (Emergency), Group, and Group (Emergency). NOTE: When you want to search All call or Prefix call, select Group. Fleet ID Enter a Fleet ID between 1 and 5000 to display in Fleet ID. Source site code Enter a Source site code between 0 and1023 to display in Source site code. 34

36 Log > Traffic Log Filter To search Traffic logs, set some search criteria. The Traffic logs are displayed according to the filter settings. Date time range Enter the date to specify the Traffic log starting date you want to display. Click the date cell to open a calendar and select a date. Period Click to select whether to display the period of time as "1 week" or "1 day." Interval Click to select the plot interval. When Period is set to "1 week," select between "1 day" and "1 hour." When Period is set to "1 day," select between "1 hour" and "10 minutes." Site Code Click to select a Site Code to display in Site Code. 36

ID The ID is displayed in All Trunk Busy (ATB) and repeater ID (1 to 32). Tx total Displays the total Tx time period in seconds. Numbers after a decimal point are not displayed. Displayed in the rounded off format. If Period set to "1 week," the maximum is 604,800 seconds, and if it s set to "1 day," the maximum is 86,400 seconds. Duty Factor Displays the total Tx time period as a percentage of the time that is set in the Filter. Numbers after a decimal point are not displayed. Displayed in the rounded off format. 37

Date time range Enter both a starting and an ending date and time to specify the Search log term you want to display. Click the date cell to open a calendar and select a date. Site Code Enter a Source site code between 0 and 1023 to display in Source site code. Node Enter the IP address to display in IP address. Character strings Set the searching words of up to 4 sets of 32 characters. Click to select between "and," "or," or "not" to engage the searching words. The searching priority order is "not" > "and" > "or." 38

40 Section 6. Map Current File Displays the image file that is currently set as a background of the Map screen. (Read only) <Delete> Click to delete the Map background setting. NOTE: Site icons that are currently located on the Map screen are also deleted. Choose File Enter an image file to be set as a background of the Map screen. NOTE: The set image file may not be displayed, depending on your browser. A JPEG format file is recommended. 1. Click <Browse> to search the directory. 2. Select a file to be imported. 3. 41 Section 7. Sound Current File Displays the sound file that is currently set as an alert. The alert sounds when an abnormality is detected. (Read only) <Delete> Click to clear the Alert Sound setting. <Sound Test> Click to play the sound file that is currently set as an alert. NOTE: The set sound may not be played, depending on your browser. An MP3 format file is recommended. 41
