New AP Fields for Label Indicia and Banner For parcel jobs, a label s indicia and banner information can differ within a single mailing based on sort characteristics of each piece. Presort will generate and populate the correct indicia and banner text strings in the following two new AP fields. AP.IMPB_INDIC: Contains the text string for the label indicia. Maximum length is 18 characters. AP.IMPB_BANNR: Contains the text string for the label banner. Maximum length is 23 characters. The AP fields will generate output for each record in an address output file, which Label Toolbox can use to populate the label output. To add the new fields to design files with Label Studio 1. Choose Tools > Design Labels. 2. In the Label Toolbox - Address Label Preview window, select a design file and click Edit. The design file will open in Label Toolbox. 3. In the Objects window, expand the DB tree. 4. Drag and drop the DB.IMPB_BANNR and DB.IMPB_INDIC fields to the desired positions on the label. 5. Save the design file. See the USPS Parcel Labeling Guide for more information. 5

APO/FPO/DPO parcel handling The USPS now requires customs information to be included in the Shipping Services file for APO/FPO/DPO addresses. However, Presort does not currently support creating customs information, so any records going to APO/FPO/DPO are not presorted and will be filtered from input sets for parcels. They are not reported in any output file, but do appear in the Foreign column on the Presort job summary. Creating pure CART 5-digit/scheme PER packages on pallets before merged pallets Although PER non-automation flats are required to be merged, Presort will now by default create pure CART 5-digit/scheme PER packages on pallets before merged pallets according to DMM (Periodicals Bundles, Sacks, or Trays). Be sure Create Merged 5DG/Sch Plt in the PER, Packages on Pallets scheme block is set to No to prepare pure CART 5-digit/scheme pallets of non-automated flats before merged pallets. If this parameter is set to Yes and the job is non-machinable/non-automation, you will receive a warning, and merged pallets will be created before the pure CART pallets, as specified in the rule. By creating pure 5DG/scheme CART pallets first, you'll receive the pure 5DG/scheme CART pallet charge on those pallets, which is lower than the merged pallet charge, rather than the merged pallet charge on all pallets. For example, say you have a mix of PER non-automation and other mail across 10 pallets. All 10 of those pallets will receive the merged pallet charge. But by creating pallets of pure 5DG/scheme CART PER non-automation packages first, you'll pay a lower per pallet charge on those pallets, and save on the overall pallet charge for all 10 pallets. If half of the mail is PER non-automation, 5 pallets would be pure 5DG/scheme CART pallets and receive the lower pallet charge. The remaining half of the mail would be placed on merged pallets, which would receive the merged pallet charge. One exception to this is when you have one merged pallet or the last pallet consisting of PER non-automation mail and other mail. If Presort creates a pure 5DG/scheme 8

CART pallet first, and then a merged pallet with the rest of the mail, you can potentially end up with two pallets and two pallet charges. In cases where creating the pure 5DG/scheme CART actually creates an extra pallet, you are better off creating that one pallet as merged so that you have fewer pallets and fewer pallet charges. This applies to required pallet merging of PER non-automation flats only, not optional pallet merging and not machinable/automation (pieces set up in Presort as "automated flat"). Optional pallet merging is performed according to DMM (Merging Bundles of Flats on Pallets Using the City State Product and a 5% Threshold). This is allowed only for pallets; it does not apply to sacks or trays of Periodicals or to Standard or Mixed Class Comail jobs. For "lightweight" Air Freight Boxes (under 70 lbs.), the container charge will be calculated from the sack table where it's a combined CR/5DG price, and not separate for CR and 5D as for pallets. The qualification report will show the pieces in the correct order. 9

Postage Statement changes There were no format or content changes to postage statements, other than the date at the bottom of all of the statements except for PS It now reads "April, 2016." The PS-8125 still reads "January, 2016." Postage Statement Lengths The following table shows the page lengths for each Postage Statement for your reference. There were no changes to the lengths of the statements in this release. Form Mail class Largest min. lines value Notes 3600-R 1C 110 lines For permit imprint postage payments and postage affixed payments CPP PER 108 lines For permit imprint postage payments. For Centralized Postage Payments C STD 88 lines For PVDS Consolidated Postage Statement Register (STD) R 3602-N STD 120 lines For permit imprint postage payments and postage affixed payments R PSVC BPM Library Mail Media Mail Parcel Select PSLW 111 lines For permit imprint and postage affixed (correct meter, lowest meter mlg, lowest meter job) All 94 lines For drop-ship mailings. 10

Report Changes The following report changes were made in this release: The Qualification report will now reflect the piece order when pure CART 5-digit- /scheme pallets are created before merged pallets. APO/FPO/DPO records in parcel jobs will appear in the Foreign column on the Presort Job Summary. Job File Changes Edjob will remove the IDEA Mailing Fac. DUNS No. parameter from the Mailing Information block. This information is no longer required in the Mail.dat. Views Changes The following user interface changes were made to Presort Views: When setting up a new entry point description block, the default setting for USPS Pickup Option is now "Use Default" instead of "None." IDEA Mailing Fac. DUNS No. was removed from the Mailing Information block. Operating System Support Due to the discontinuation of the following operating systems by their respective vendors, we will no longer support applications on these operating systems according to the following schedule. Vendor Operating System Vendor support end date Satori support end date Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 April 2017 Q

Starting with SP21, we no longer support applications on the following operating systems. SP20 was the last release that these operating systems were supported. Vendor Operating System Vendor support end date Satori support end date Microsoft Windows 2003 Server SP2 Windows 2003 Server R2 SP2 All Windows 32-bit operating systems* July 2015 Q N/A Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 March 2017 Q SUSE SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 July 2016 Q * Important: Presort is now available only in a 64-bit version, and will reflect the bit level in the revision screen in Views and when you issue the /rev or -rev command. You may see improvement in processing in excess of 15% on Windows 64-bit systems over 32-bit systems. See the System Administrator Guide for a complete list of currently supported operating systems. 12

Fixed and Addressed Issues The following issues have been fixed or addressed in this release: Issue number PRSRT-2368 PRSRT-3493 PRSRT-3363 PRSRT-3776 PRSRT-3798 Issue description When a mixed tray was on an NDC pallet and the first piece in the tray had a ZIP in an ASF area within the NDC (such as a Phoenix piece within a mixed tray on an NDC pallet for Denver), the tray was being labeled incorrectly. There was a memory issue with large jobs that used serial numbers from a user-provided input file and tracking database. Federal Agency is not a valid method of payment for SSF type 2 anymore. Presort was incorrectly claiming the DDU discount for some pieces not entered at a DDU. PER Mixed ADC pallet jobs with the pallet weight set to 0 (zero) were causing an error. 13

Downloading Service Packs and Fix Packs Each time a product update is available, you will receive an with instructions for downloading and installing the update. If you need a copy of your software product, please contact Satori Software Technical Support at or us at support@satorisoftware.com. 14

Installing the License Key File We recommend installing the key file before upgrading your software. If you have already installed it, you do not need to install it again. Proceed to Upgrading to Satori Presort 8.00c You should have already received an with your license key file attached to it. Contact Support if you have not received your key file or if you need it resent. The key file is called ss_prods.txt. This key file contains one license key that provides access to Presort and any add-on features that you have purchased. You only need one license key; you do not need separate license keys for each individual feature. To Install the License Key File Place the ss_prods.txt file into the following location on each standalone machine, server, and Remote Views server that Presort is installed on. (It is not necessary to install the key file on Windows client or Remote Views client machines.) Windows: \ss\adm UNIX: <disk>/ss/adm The ss_prods.txt key file MUST be located in the "adm" subdirectory of the "ss" directory. Otherwise Presort will not be able to locate the key file and you will receive an error. Important: Do not change the name of the key file or any contents within the key file. This license key supersedes any license keys you may have previously received. 15

Troubleshooting Tips If you receive any of the following error messages, there is an issue with the license key or key file. Message: This job uses the following add-on features, but no key was found for them in "<pathname>\ss_prods.txt." This means that the key inside the key file doesn't include access to the add-on products you are trying to use, or there is something wrong with the key itself (it's corrupt, missing from the file, for example.) If you already own the add-on feature you are attempting to use, you may need a new key. Contact Support for assistance. If you have not purchased the add-on feature you are trying to use, contact your Satori Sales representative for assistance. Message: This job uses the following add-on features, but no keyfile "ss_ prods.txt" could be found for them. This message indicates that the keyfile was not found in the expected location. If you have a key file, verify that the keyfile is in the "adm" subdirectory of the "ss" directory as described in the installation instructions above. If you do not have a key file, contact Support for assistance. If you do not own the add-on feature you are trying to use, contact your Satori Sales representative for assistance. 16
