3 1 About This guide should cover some of the frequently asked questions about your new installed computer. If you have any questions about your new system, please read this guide thoughtful before calling the helpdesk hotline. If you don t need this document anymore you re able to delete it from your computers desktop. 2 Operating system The language of the operating system Microsoft Windows is English and can t be changed. 3 Microsoft Office Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook When you start your Outlook for the first time, the application connects automatically to your CRM Client. If you don t have an account for Microsoft Dynamics CRM please click Cancel twice. If the automatic connection fails, please connect to the CRM manually. Choose in the register CRM the option Configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Please write the following in the field Server URL: and click Connect Please enter your Username and password in the next step. Afterwards you should see BÜCHI Labortechnik AG in the Organization-field. 3.2 Changing the display language You re able to change the display language of the Microsoft Office software. The following six languages are available: English Chinese French Italian Japanese Thai (MS Visio and MS Project excluded) by Würth ITensis AG / page 3 of 9

4 To change the display language open any Microsoft Office application and click on File in the upper left corner and then click on Options. Click Language, select your preferred language as Display Language and click Set as Default. Important: Changing the language in one Microsoft Office application will affect others as well. 3.3 Add an additional mailbox to Outlook To add an additional mailbox to your Outlook just follow these steps. Open Outlook, click on File in the upper left corner and then click on Account Settings and again on Account Settings. On the appearing dialog click Change, then More Settings, Advanced and Add Now type in the name of mailbox you want to add and close all dialogs with OK, Next, Finish and Close. by Würth ITensis AG / page 4 of 9

5 3.4 Activate Alcatel-Lucent Outlook extension By default the Alcatel-Lucent Outlook extension is inactive. If you want to activate this extension just follow these steps. Open Outlook, click on File in the upper left corner and then click on Options. Now click on Add-Ins and then the button Go next to Manage: COM Add-ins Check AlcatelLucentOutlook2010Extension and click OK. Afterwards you see appear the OmniTouch section in the menu. 3.5 Office templates To create a document based on a Büchi specific template click on the button SHARED and there you will find all the templates. by Würth ITensis AG / page 5 of 9

6 4 Printers To connect a printer please follow these steps. Select The printer that I want isn t listed Select Find a printer in the directory, based on location or feature by Würth ITensis AG / page 6 of 9

7 Select the printer you want to connect and click OK Note: If you want to print out on a printer with the uniflow system chose either B_W (black and white) or Color. 5 ERP LN For launching the ERP LN web application click on Infor Web UI in your Windows start menu or open the URL in your favourite web browser. 6 Citrix Receiver When you log on your computer, the Citrix Receiver window automatically opens. Some applications you will find only on the Citrix servers. Clicking on the + allows you to add applications to the start screen of the Citrix Receiver. With clicking on Desktop Buchi you can open a session to the Citrix Desktop environment. by Würth ITensis AG / page 7 of 9

8 7 Lenovo Notebooks This chapter is for Notebook-users only. 7.1 Access Connections toolbar The first time you log on your Lenovo notebook your taskbar may looks like this. The wireless-symbol uses the whole width of the taskbar. This is a bug of the Lenovo software Access Connections we cannot avoid. To correct this behaviour click with the right mouse-button directly on the left side of the up/down arrows next to the wireless symbol and deactivate the Access connections-toolbar. Afterwards you can activate it again. 7.2 Bitlocker disk encryption For maximum security, the disk of the notebook needs to be encrypted and this encryption is protected by a PIN, which you can define on your own. This ensures that all the data on the notebook is protected and if a notebook is lost or stolen it is impossible for a stranger to read any of the data on the disk drive. After logon your computer, you will be prompted to encrypt your system disk. Define your own PIN. You will need this to unlock your system later on. After logon, you re asked to encrypt your drive. by Würth ITensis AG / page 8 of 9

9 Define your own PIN. Please enter at least four digits. Click Create PIN Now you will see a progressbar. The encryption takes a while and it s no problem to shut down or reboot your system during this progress. After encryption is completed, each time you boot your notebook you re asked to enter your PIN. by Würth ITensis AG / page 9 of 9
