2 What is ArcGIS Explorer? A free, lightweight, easy to use desktop application that can access, integrate, and utilize GIS services, geographic content, and other web services. A client for ArcGIS Server, offering an easy way to deliver access to GIS content and capabilities. More than a geo-explorer, explorer, it s s a way to deliver and publish GIS capabilities to a wide audience, and integrate information geographically
