2 Verify CommDTM License Before you begin, make sure that the license in your Head Station has the option FDL masters with CommDTM enabled. If not, contact your distributor and ask for a free DTM license. 2

3 Driver installation (PCD) It is strongly recommended to download the latest drivers from Execute PCD Installer.exe and follow the steps below. 3

6 PCD Setup Connect the Head Station to your local network. After installation, start the PCD driver (located in /Program Files/PROCENTEC/PCD ). Next, you should see the icon in your system tray. Right click the PCD icon, then choose Show. h Click k Modify, df enter a name for the interface, choose the driver, enter the serial number of your Head Station and click k OK. 6

7 PCD Setup (2) Sl Select tth the added d interface and choose Setup. Enter the IP address of the Head Station (or choose to automatically find the IP address by clicking on Discover IP ) ). Fill in the other details and click OK. Depending on the passwords of your Head Station, you might have to enter a username and password. 7

8 FieldCare: CommDTM setup Start FieldCare clicking on the shortcut on your desktop. Choose Create Project for an empty project, then click Open. 8

9 FieldCare: CommDTM setup (2) Right click on Host PC, and choose Add device Next, choose the PROCENTEC DP V1 master and hit OK. 9

10 FieldCare: CommDTM setup (3) You should see the icon in the System Tray. This means that the driver is started. 10

11 FieldCare: CommDTM setup (4) Double click the PROCENTEC DP V1 Master to edit the master settings. Verify your DP/PA network to see if the devices areonline online. After correct detection of Then uncheck Use the bus parameters, click OK. Standard Bus Parameters and hit Start. 11

12 FieldCare: CommDTM setup (5) Right click the PROCENTEC DP V1 Master and select Create network. This will initiate the master, and FieldCare will scanyour network for addressable slaves. 12

13 FieldCare: CommDTM setup (6) FieldCare will find the necessary DTMs (if installed) and will enable communication automatically. Tip: If you click on the icon in your system tray, you should see this window with status Connected. 13

14 FieldCare: Online parameterization Please note that each DTM looks and behaves different. Unfold the parameter options by clicking on the + sign. 14

16 FieldCare: Change Slave Address You can use FieldCare to change a slave address. If you want to do this, the slave must be taken offline first, for example by disabling the master. Right click the PROCENTEC DP V1 Master, select t Additional functions and choose Set Station Address 16

17 FieldCare: Change Slave Address (2) Fill in the current and new address. Click Set, and you will see the message ok in the State window. The address is now changed. 17
