5 NEW FEATURE: Auto Table Extraction Feature Capabilities: Auto table extraction will locate simple table structures on a page and present them to a validation operator Feature Benefits: No extraction rule creation needed! Allows validation operators to quickly capture data in tabular format and manually filter out good data from bad data

7 NEW FEATURE: Machine Learning of Tables Feature Capabilities: Allows the user to train the machine learning model to extract simple, organized table structures Feature Benefits: Lowers the configuration and setup time of a batch class. Will not completely replace the need to develop table extraction rules. This feature is best used on fixed form or simple table structures.

9 NEW FEATURE: Zoom Overlay Feature Capabilities: Magnify the data that has been extracted off the document. Feature Benefits: This allows the validation operator to see clearly the data that Transact has extracted.

11 NEW FEATURE: Knowledge Bases Feature Capabilities: Knowledge bases are libraries of patterns and dictionaries of words such as US States, common names, etc. Feature Benefits: Knowledge bases are used to help aid Transact s machine learning algorithms in capturing information from documents.

12 Patterns and Dictionaries make up the knowledge-base Text files of words and phrases.

13 NEW FEATURE: Composite Types Feature Capabilities: Ability to concatenate multiple field types into a singular field type to support machine learning extraction. Feature Benefits: In cases where regular expressions are limited or become extremely complex, composite types alleviate the need for complex scripting rules to combine multiple fields together.

16 INTEGRATION: API Look Up End Point Feature Capabilities: Ability to perform automated look ups into other systems via inbound RESTful Web Services. Feature Benefits: This feature allows the admin to integrate with other systems via Web Services without writing any code.

18 INTEGRATION: Export End Point Feature Capabilities: Ability to export images and metadata to any system via outbound RESTful Web Services. Feature Benefits: This feature allows the admin to integrate with other systems via Web Services without writing any code.

20 INTEGRATION: Box Export Feature Capabilities: Easily export images and metadata to a Box repository. Feature Benefits: Save time by configuring the Box export plugin through the Transact UI.

22 INTEGRATION: SAP Export Feature Capabilities: Export images and metadata directly into SAP. Feature Benefits: Save time by configuring the SAP export plugin via the Transact UI.

25 IMPROVEMENT: SharePoint Export Feature Capabilities: SharePoint export has been in previous releases of Transact. In Transact 4.5 the SharePoint export plugin now can support both on-premise and cloud versions of SharePoint. Feature Benefits: Easily export images and metadata out of Ephesoft Transact and into a SharePoint repository.

27 IMPROVEMENT: Support for Side-by- Side Table Layouts Feature Capabilities: Extracts multiple side-by-side tables on a page. Feature Benefits: Allows batch class admins to build extraction rules for documents that have side-by-side tables.

29 IMPROVEMENT: Multi-Language OCR User Interface Feature Capabilities: A new user interface has been added to help manage languages within a batch class. Feature Benefits: Greatly simplifies and shortens language configuration time within a batch class.

31 IMPROVEMENT: Windows Installer Improvements Feature Capabilities: The installer has been improved to check details such as UAC, IPV6 and other key environmental settings. It will also allow for the configuration of other common ports such as http or https. Feature Benefits: Save time by configuring features from the installer UI and checking environment details to prevent common errors.

34 Usability: CJKT OCR Add-on Feature Capabilities: Our two primary OCR engines, RecoStar and Nuance, now have additional character sets for Asian languages. Feature Benefits: This allows users to process documents containing Asian language character sets. CJKT = Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai

35 Usability: User Interface Translation Improvements Feature Capabilities: Full and proper translations of the Transact UI have been done for German, Dutch, Spanish, French, and Italian. Feature Benefits: Transact is now a more Eurofriendly software product.

36 Usability: On the Fly Priority Update Feature Capabilities: Changing the priority of a batch is easily done in the Transact UI and through the Web Service API. Feature Benefits: You get higher-value or timesensitive work done faster by adjusting batch instance priority on the fly.

39 Platform Extensibility: Hidden Document Types Feature Capabilities: Allows document types to be hidden from review/validation users. Feature Benefits: Simplifies Document Type list drop-down for operators by removing the noise and only showing them what they need to do for their job.

41 Platform Extensibility: Machine Learning Web Service APIs Feature Capabilities: The ability to train the machine learning algorithm for extraction of data via RESTful Web Services. Feature Benefits: Allows developers and other applications train and use Transact s machine learning libraries.

42 Platform Extensibility: Web Service Enhancements Feature Capabilities: Changes to Transact s Web Services were made to improve the following features: Multidimensional Classification Automatic Classification Upload Batch (Advanced Upload Batch) Feature Benefits: Developers now have a more comprehensive set of Web Service APIs

43 Platform Extensibility: Centralized Custom JAR Deployment Feature Capabilities: Custom JARs can now be deployed in one central, shared location. Feature Benefits: Previously, developers and admins would spend time updating and deploying JAR files to each Transact server. Now the developer can deploy the JAR files in one central location and no longer needs to deploy to each server, thus saving time.
