1 Steps Change Background Slide one. Right click and select Format Background. Change text Slide one. Change House Pictures Slides 2,3, etc. Add new.gif/picture slide 9. Change movement (custom animations) slide 10. Change the time of each slide (slide show rehearse timings). Change music slide 7 (animations transition sound). Download Music Save as a.pps file
2 Change Background Right click on a slide in the left column and click on Format Background
3 Change Background New window opens, e.g. click on Solid fill
4 Change Background Background changes to default, like white.
5 Change Background Click on Color Dropdown and then select a color like Green.
6 Change Background It changes, then click on Apply to All and all slides change.
7 Change Text Click on the Text.
8 Change Text You then see it highlighted.
9 Change Text Add or change text. You will notice it fits it into the highlighted size.
10 Change Text You can then change the size of the box of text by left click on one of the icons, hold it down and drag it to change the size.
11 Change Text You then see the difference.
12 Change House Pictures You click on the picture to highlight it.
13 Change House Pictures You then click on the Del key on your Keyboard, and it is removed.
14 Change House Pictures You then click on the Insert tab and click on Picture.
15 Change House Pictures A new window opens and you find a Picture on you computer. You double click on it.
16 Change House Pictures It then shows up on the slide.
17 Change House Pictures You then left click on one of the corners and then hold it down and drag it.
18 Change House Pictures You then do it on the bottom right, when finished, right click and then select Send to Back.
19 Change House Pictures You then see it is behind the flowers.
20 Change House Pictures Unfortunately, you have to do that on each slide.
21 Add new Gif file. Click on Insert tab and then click on Clip Art
22 Add new Gif file. Clip Art column shows up on the right.
23 Add new Gif file. Make sure you are connected to the internet and then click on Clip art on Office Online.
24 Add new Gif file. Browser opens to this site and click on Animations.
25 Add new Gif file. Then type in Christmas and click on Search.
26 Add new Gif file. You then see all the Gif files.
27 Add new Gif file. You then click on one then click on download.
28 Add new Gif file. New window opens (depending on your browser) and then click on save File and then click on OK.
29 Add new Gif file. Internet Explorer Opens. Find the folder you want and then click on Save.
30 Add new Gif file You then click on the Insert tab and click on Picture.
31 Add new Gif file. Internet Explorer Opens. Find the Gif file and double click.
32 Add new Gif file. It then shows up on the slide.
33 Add new Gif file. You can also highlight and change size like I showed you with the House image.
34 Change Movement. You go to slide 10 and click on it. You then click on Animations Tab and click on Custom Animation.
35 Change Movement. Custom Animation shows in the right column.
36 Change Movement. Click on the Snowman.
37 Change Movement. Click on Add Effect, then hover over Motion Paths and then over Draw Custom Path and click on Line.
38 Change Movement. Your cursor changes to a + You then click on the image and drag it down to the place to move it.
39 Change Movement. Your then see Picture 11 on the Custom Animation. You can click on Play to see the results.
40 Change Movement. And you see them both move.
41 Change Time of Slides. Click on first slide. Then click on the Slide Show Tab and then click on Rehearse Timings.
42 Change Time of Slides. Slide Show stars to play and you see the timing on the upper left. Click on the arrow to go to next slide.
43 Change Time of Slides. You continue to every slide.
44 Change Time of Slides. When you are done, a new window opens telling time and then click on yes.
45 Change/Add Music. Because you need.wav file music, the next slides walk you through how to download music first.
46 Download.wav Music You click on Insert tab and then click on Clip Art.
47 Download.wav Music Clip Art shows in the right column.
48 Download.wav Music Click on Clip art on Office Online in the lower right. Note you need internet connection.
49 Download.wav Music Your Browser opens to this site and then click on Sounds.
50 Download.wav Music Your Browser opens to this site and then click on Sounds.
51 Download.wav Music You then type in something like Christmas and then click on Search.
52 Download.wav Music Page changes. You then hover over one and click on download.
53 Download.wav Music Typically a new window opens, depending on your Browser. Click on Save File and then click on OK.
54 Download.wav Music Windows Explorer opens. Go to the folder you want or add new folder. Then highlight the name to change it.
55 Download.wav Music Windows Explorer opens. Go to the folder you want or add new folder. Then highlight the name to change it.
56 Download.wav Music Like Christmas and then click on Save.
57 Download.wav Music You now have.wav music you can use. Go to the other.pdf file that shows you how to add music to PowerPoint that can be used as the background music throughout your.pps file.
58 Change/Add Music. You click on Slide 7, which has the starting music, then click on Animations Tab and then click on Transition Sound.
59 Change/Add Music. You then could select Other Sound. The problem with that is it needs to be a.wav file vs. a.mp3 file, so you use the.wav file you just downloaded.
60 Change/Add Music. When you click on other sound Windows Explorer opens. You then go to the music you have that is.wav and double click on it.
61 Change/Add Music. It will show up in the Transition Sound and automatically play it.
62 Save as.pps File Click on icon in upper left then click on Save As and select PowerPoint Show.
63 Save as.pps File Window Explorer opens and you select a folder and change name and click on Save.
