1 SCODE-CONGRA: Simple example project A + B = C Question: Is there a very simple "Hello World" project for SCODE-CONGRA How to implement A + B = C in SCODE-CONGRA I want to configure a very simple equation system for playing around with the features and functionalities of SCODE-CONGRA Answer: In SCODE-CONGRA > File > New > Constraint Graph Project In dialog Constraint Graph Project: Field Project name > Type A_plus_B_equals_C

2 In SCODE-CONGRA: File *.syq is created an displayed In Project Explorer: Navigate to the leaf knot (system) of A_plus_B_equals_C Then right mouse button click > Open With > Graphical Editor

3 Graphical Editor view is displayed: Move mouse pointer into white area in graphical editor and click left mouse button After short time a graphical menu appears: Add Variable or Relation

4 Click on the V icon to add a variable, then type A and hit the RETURN key Repeat these steps for variables B and C Click on the R to add a relation

5 Newly created relationship is displayed: On the right side in view Palette: under Graph Edges > Left mouse button click on Edge Design of the mouse pointer is changed

6 Click on variable A A thin line is created and attached to A You can connect it to another element: Move mouse pointer to the relationship R and click left mouse button

7 Repeat these steps to connect variable B with R, as well as variable C with R Save All Click on relation R so that it is selected

8 On tab Properties: In column Property > Equation > In table cell on the right side (column Value) > Left mouse button click Type A + B = C In Project Explorer on system: Right mouse button click > New > Flow

9 New flow ("F") is created and displayed: On variable A > Right mouse button click > Set type as > input

10 Variable A is displayed as solid blue circle On variable B > Right mouse button click > Set type as > input Variable B is displayed as solid blue circle Variable C automagically is displayed as solid green circle

11 Click on Open Perspective icon In dialog Open Perspective: Left mouse button click on Constraint Graph Execution > Click OK button Save All

12 Select relation R Save All In Project Explorer: On flow > Double click with left mouse button In view Execution Environment: Fields are filled

13 In view Execution Environment > table Variables > Row B > Column Value > Type "1" and hit RETURN key Value for C is calculated and display is updated automatically You can repeat this step with A as well: Change value of variable A Value C is updated automatically

14 Additional information: Once the constraint graph is set up it is easy to experiment with it For example: Make B an output variable and C an input In the Execution Environment we can test the new behavior Generating the code for the newly modelled behavior is just 2 mouse clicks away
