1 Introduction Global greenhouse gas reduction policy and restrictions on electrical and electronics hazardous products has led us to the urge of replacing traditional lighting control system with environmental friendly, high energy efficient and effectively controlled lighting system. The traditional simple ON/OFF electrical and electronic switches have been used to control two states of light i.e. ON and OFF. Recently, a need has been observed to control lighting system in a more sophisticated manner introducing illumination control, distributed and/or centralized control along with the traditional ON/OFF control. Programmable LED Lighting Power provides a very flexible and optimal lighting control mechanism both for distributed and centralized light control. You can control the many features of LGIT LED Driver you want through the Sirius UI program. Page 3 / 32

2 System requirements In order to make full use of the feature of the Sirius, the followings are required. - Windows desktop computer or notebook - OS(32bit): Windows XP or Windows 7(recommended) - Communication: USB 2.0 ports (It is needed to connect the USB2DALI interface with PC) - DLL(Property): Silicon Labs HID Device Interface Library V1.6, HID to UART Dynamic Link Library V2.0 Page 4 / 32

3 Interface board This is the interface board between PC and the LED Driver. It has a Mini-USB connector, DALI connector and VCC (3.3V) output connector. VCC (3.3V) output connector is used for firmware upgrade without AC power source. < Block Diagram > Page 5 / 32

V Description 1-10V is associated with LED Driver s supporting dimming interface. 1-10V is used to control output current of LED Driver, depending on DIM+/- level of LED Driver. You can set up 1-10V Min. Level by using Sirius Program Practical Use When LED Driver has configured 1-10V Min. level, Dimming level (Output Current) would change from 1-10V Min. Level to Max Level 100%. According to the voltage level of DIM+/-, Dimming level is calculated linearly based on the 1-10V Min. Level. Dimming level is set by increase and decrease of voltage level measured in DIM+/-. Voltage Slider: Set the value between the range of (%) by moving slider. Spin Box: Set the value between the range of (%) by changing the spin box or manually typing the number in the spin box Value Setting No Working Hours Default Value Variable Range V Min Level 10% 10 ~ 100% Page 27 / 32

5.7 Schedule Dimmer Description Schedule dimmer is used to automatic dimming control of LED Driver. As time has passed, the dimming of LED Driver is changed according to the schedule table Practical Use Select the schedule dimmer in the dimming interface for enable this function. - Time based: If the Time based check box is selected, the schedule dimmer operates as a time based mode. When the switch of the main power is turned on, the dimming of the LED driver is changed according to the table from No. 0 to No. 4. Users can set the maximum five steps of the schedule within 24 hours. - Location based: The location based mode of schedule dimmer is used to control the dimming of the LED driver according to the table that can be set between 15 p.m. and 10 a.m. basically. A midnight shift value is used to compensate a time error that can be occurred due to a difference between time zone and real location. The midnight shift value can be calculated in two ways which is from location or from coordinates. If the time based check box is selected, the location based mode will be disabled automatically. - Override: The override function maintain output to 100% during predefined hold time when certain event is occurred on the mode of schedule dimmer. Select the override check box to use this feature. Page 28 / 32

The midnight shift calculation window is shown as below. - Location: It is a predefined list of midnight shift of major cities around the world. - Latitude: The value of the latitude, which is consists of three items (degrees, minutes, seconds). And this value may be negative according to the location. - Longitude: The value of the longitude, which is consists of three items (degrees, minutes, seconds). And this value may be negative according to the location. - Time zone: A time zone is a region that has a uniform standard time. In Sirius program, it can be set the time zone value from +12 to -12 according to the GMT reference. - Daylight saving: Indication whether daylight saving should be dealt with or not. You have two choices for calculation of midnight shift. If your location is in the location list, you can use it. Some locations are not in the list. For those unlisted locations, the geographical coordinates can be used to calculate the correct midnight shift. Click OK to save result of your calculation as the new midnight shift. Note that clicking OK is not directly saving your data to the driver. To save midnight shift to a driver you will have to write the whole feature. Note also that the location is not written into the driver, the midnight shift is written instead. You can put the dimming schedule in the table up to 5 steps. If you want to add the schedule to the table, click the ADD button after filling text box. If you want to delete the schedule from the table, click the DEL button after clicking a row you want to delete. If the light level is less than or equal to the physical min during schedule dimming, it will be considered as physical min. And the light level will maintain the physical min. * LGIT s driver use 3 day mean hours to determine the virtual time for schedule dimmer. To calculate the virtual time, mean hours of past three days including today is used. Even though difference of ON duration time is greater than one hour, it will use the running average of ON duration time to calculate virtual seconds. Page 29 / 32

The other model has a limitation of minimum dimming level to 10%. Note2: If user configured the new schedule data using Schedule dimmer feature tab and write data to the device, then AC Power should be restarted in order to apply. Page 30 / 32

5.8 Lumen Output Compensation (LOC) Description The efficiency of LED module is decreased over time naturally. For this reason, the brightness of LED module will be going to decrease for same output power. To maintain the constant brightness, increasing the output current as time goes on is required Value Information No LOC Default Value Variable Range 1 Enable Not enabled Enable or Not enable 2 Table No Time(hh:mm) Dim(%) (Read-only) Number of Schedule : 16 Hour : 0H ~ H Dim : 10% ~ 100% Page 31 / 32

5.9 AC Dimming Description AC dimming is used to control output current of LED Driver, depending on AC input voltage level of LED Driver. You can set up AC input range and Dim level by using Sirius Program. NOTE: Only M-model supports this feature for dimming interface Practical Use There are Low %, Low V, High % and High V. When LED Driver is inputted voltage from AC power, Low V to High V, Dimming level (Output Current) would change Low % to High % linearly. If AC power is lower than Low V, Dimming level is remained previous level %. And In case of higher voltage than High V, Dimming Level maintain High % Value Setting No AC dimming Default Value Variable Range 1 Low % 30 % 30% ~ 100% 2 High % 100% Low% ~ 100% 3 Low V 120V 120V ~ 200V 4 High V 170V 170V ~ 250V Page 32 / 32
