1 1 RELEASE NOTES RELEASE DATE OCTOBER 18, 2015 Release Number 2.10 CONTENTS NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS: OSS 2 NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS: APPOINTMENT LEDGER 3 IMPORTANT Always clear your browser cache before using a new release to ensure that cookies from the previous release have been removed: 1. Log off the application(s) 2. Close all browser windows. 3. Clear the browser cache: For Google Chrome, click on the menu, More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data. 4. Restart the application(s).
2 2 NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS: OSS The Online Service Scheduler (OSS) user interface has been enhanced for this Release as part of the wiadvisor initiative to have a common look-and-feel for all products. All functionality remains the same. Following are the new OSS screens:
3 3 NEW FEATURES & IMPROVEMENTS: APPOINTMENT LEDGER At the request of many dealers, wiadvisor Appointment Ledger has added new customer/vehicle search functionality with this release, including: The ability to select an alternate customer from the customer search results without having to return to the Appointment Ledger. The ability to change the search criteria without having to exit to the Appointment Ledger. The ability to look up a customer/vehicle using the last 5 or last 8 characters of the VIN. When the user selects to create a new appointment (for example, by clicking + Create from the Day View), the new Customer/Vehicle Search page is shown as in the example below: At the top of the page there are now three options for initiating the search: VIN, Name and Phone. When the user enters the search criteria, the Appointment Ledger automatically sets the search buttons based on the criteria entered: If alphanumeric, VIN and Name become active. Select one to start the search. If only numeric, VIN and Phone become active. Select one to start the search. Search by Name Example: In the example below, sychov is entered in the Search page. VIN and Name become active and Phone is inactive.
4 4 Click Name to initiate the search. The following results are displayed as usual: From this list: 1. Click on the correct customer to display their vehicle(s). All of the vehicles associated with the customer will be returned in the new Select Vehicle window as shown below:
5 5 2. Click on the correct vehicle, or: You can also now choose to close the Select Vehicle window (click the x ) and return to the customer search results in case the wrong customer was chosen. In addition, you can also now change the search criteria immediately at the top of the page to perform a new search without having to initiate ( + Create ) the appointment again. 3. When the vehicle has been chosen: Click the plus sign beside the vehicle as shown below to create a new appointment, or If the vehicle is correct but the customer is incorrect, select Change Customer to open an appointment for the vehicle in the Appointment Ledger and add the customer information. If there is an existing appointment for the vehicle, an appointment summary box will now automatically display. Select Delete to delete the existing appointment, or Edit to edit or view it.
6 6 Search by VIN Example: You can now enter the last 5 or the last 8 of the VIN. As this is numeric, VIN and Phone become active. Select VIN to initiate the search. If the full 17 character VIN is entered, only VIN becomes active. The single search result will be displayed as shown below: As in the previous example, you can now create an appointment, change customer, delete or edit any existing appointments. Search by Phone: Enter the digits of the phone number (no dashes or brackets). As it is numeric, VIN and Phone will be active. Select Phone to initiate the search.
