17 7. How It Works: 1.I/R Remote Control Box: Select the channel first by sliding the left-hand switch to A, B, C or D. Then turn the power switch on, the red LED will light. (The channel won't be changed once the power is on.).botball: a ) The Botball built in receiver module and it will learn the channel from the remote controller. Turn the power on, it's eyes will flash. Point the remote controller direct to the Botball, push any button of the remote controller for 3 to 5 seconds. The it's eyes will become lighter when it receives signal from the remote controller. b ) The Botball has 8 different movements. See below chart, you can try to control the Botball moves toward the way you want by pushing the control buttons on the remote controller. Practice it more, you will be familiar soon. Forward Backward Left Turn Right Turn 360 Left Turn Around 360 Right Turn Around Back Left Turn Back Right Turn c ) The Botball needs to learn the channel from remote controller every time once you turn the power on. d ) To reset a different channel, both the remote controller and the Botball need to turn the power off, then follow the step 1 & a) again. e ) If there are or more players (maximum for 4), please note to set up the channel one by one. Make sure the other Botballs are power off when anyone is setting up the channel. If the Botballs have learned the channel already, leave the power on, it won't learn another channel again. f ) Botball's eyes will flash when it does not receive any signal from remote controller for 5 seconds. g ) By pushing the right top button, Botball will kick the ball. 8. Trouble shooting: 1.I/R Remote Control Box: Check if the battery terminals are contacting properly to the PCB, also check if the batteries are inserted correctly. Make sure the PCB screwed tightly to the case (refer to picture 4 on page 4)..Botball: a ) Ensure all wirings are correct. b ) If Botball moves wrong direction when you push the remote controller, check if the wiring of M1, M, M3 are reversed.( Refer to P.13 Fig, 4 ) c ) If Botball doesn't make any sound, check if the wiring of BZ is correct (refer to P.13 Fig 4. 15
