1 Page 1 Thank you for taking part in the Scleroderma Foundation s Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma! We appreciate your support of our mission. Here are some instructions to help you through the registration process. If you have any other questions, please contact your walk s event manager (visit the Contact Info tab on the walk website for the preferred contact method). 2 Page 2 4. Attend the Event and Register You have the following options to participate in a walk: a. Start a Team/Bring a Previous Team Back. You can form a new team (if applicable used for the event) and serve as the team captain. See Form a New Team below Please note: If you are a returning team captain and would like to re-start your team, you may also select this option. b. Join a Team. You can join a team (if the team format is used for the event) and become a team member. See Join an Existing Team below c. Participate as an Individual. You can participate as an individual (not as a captain or member of a team). Proceed to Configure Your Personal Participant Information below A B C

Set your team s recruitment goal. This is how many team members you d like to have. c. Set your team s fundraising goal. If you re fundraising, this is the amount of money you would like your entire team to fundraise for the event. d. If you would like to reactivate your team from a previous year s event, you must sign-in first. Then, follow the instructions. e. Click the green Next Step button to continue. If you are reforming a team from last year, in the outlined box, you will sign-in using your username/password that you created last year. Forgot your password? You can ask to have it ed to you. Now, you will be asked you d like to bring back your team. Click the blue button that looks like this: Next, proceed to the section to Configure your Personal Participant Information.

Select the green Join button next to the team to become a team member.

4 Page 4 JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM To join an existing team, start by clicking the Join a Team button. Then, enter the team s name and click the blue Search for a Team You will see the teams that are available to join. Select the green Join button next to the team to become a team member. If you are reforming a team from last year, you also have the option to bring your team back. Click the green Bring Team Back button. Next, proceed to the section to Configure your Personal Participant Information.

If you will fundraise, set your goal for the event. c. Make an Additional Gift. Would you like to kick-start your fundraising? Donate to the event by entering an amount in the Additional Gift box. d. If you would like your gift to be anonymous, check Yes, make this an anonymous gift. e. If you d like your gift amount to display publicly on the website, check Yes, you can display the amount of my donation publicly. f. If your event has any additional commemorative items for purchase, like t- shirts, you can make a selection on this screen. Click the green Next Step button to proceed.

Page 6 PARTICIPANT USERNAME AND LOGIN Every walk participant will create a username and password. This will be so you can access your Participant Center later.

(Even if you don t fundraise, you ll have access to your Participant Center so you can send s to ask others to join you at the event.) a. If you have participated in a walk event in the past, enter your previously created username/password combination. (If you have forgotten your information, click the me my login information and an will be sent to the most current address that we have on file.) b. If you are a new participant, select the Join as a New Participant and you will set up a username and password. Please note: You will have a username and password if you have previously interacted with the Scleroderma Foundation s website in the past, such as making an online donation, signing up for an event, completing a survey, or following an advocacy action alert. If you try to sign-up as a new user and receive an error message that there already is a username associated with your address, try the me my login information to reset your password instead. If you have further trouble trying to login, call our National Office at (800) and our staff can look up your username and manually reset your password.

7 Page 7 ABOUT THE PARTICIPANT INFORMATION Fill out your personal information to complete your registration. This includes your name, address, , emergency contact and additional information. If you see a Red Asterisk (*) next to a question, an answer is required before you can proceed with your registration. Note: If you have previously participated, your information will autofill with the most current information that we have in our records. Please double-check that the information, which populates is correct as this helps to keep our records as accurate as possible.

8 Page 8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Most events ask some secondary information to help with their planning of an event, such as t- shirt size, would you like to volunteer, etc. Please answer the questions to help our event managers. If you see a Red Asterisk (*) next to a question, an answer is required before you can proceed. Questions vary for each event. WAIVER Please check the box I agree with the terms and conditions above for the waiver.

9 Page 9 REVIEW YOUR REGISTRATION INFORMATION On the Registration Summary page, make sure the information you have provided is correct. If you need to make changes, you can click on the steps (numbered at the top of the screen) to jump back to a previous screen. If you d like to register more family members, click the Register Family Member to continue. If you are finished, click the Complete Registration button. COMPLETE YOUR TRANSACTION & SUBMIT PAYMENT Enter your information to complete payment including your credit card and billing information. Click the green Process Payment button on the bottom of the page to continue. THANK YOU FOR REGISTERING Once you have completed your transaction, you will receive an on-screen confirmation. You also receive a Thank You for Registering to confirm your registration. Be sure to save this , as there will be links to access your Participant Center in the future. This is where you will login to check your fundraising progress, family/friends requesting gifts, and where you can send thank you messages.
