2 Conference Centre Located in the heart of Newtown, the University of Otago Wellington Conference Centre offers architecturally designed facilities, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, in-house catering and excellent service. We offer 16 rooms including 2 lecture theatres that can seat anywhere between 6 to 257 people Located minutes aways from Wellington city centre and Wellington Airport, our conference centre is suitable for a wide range of meetings, functions, and events. All of the teaching rooms can be set up according to your requests. Room set up plans are detailed elsewhere in this pack. To chat about holding your next event simply contact us we are happy to discuss your requirements and look forward to hearing from you.

3 Audio-visual All of our rooms and lecture theatres include data projectors and laptop connections. Whiteboards, smart boards, computers (with PC and internet capabilities) are also available in selected rooms. Laptops can be hired at a cost of $50 per day. Internet connections can also be provided for your delegates if you intend to use your own laptops. Just let us know when booking. Support Our conference centre staff are on site during business hours to take care of anything you might need and to help ensure that your event runs smoothly. Basic set up is included in the cost of the room. Any further technical assistance or afterhours support is charged as follows: Within business hours (8.30am-5pm Monday Friday) $60 per hour Outside business hours $95 per hour Public Holidays $190 per hour Please note that our technicians are only able to support our own equipment. Useful Information Prices shown are for external (non-university of Otago or Capital Coast Health DHB) bookings. If you are a University of Otago or CCDHB staff member please contact reception to discuss booking prices. Fees may be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the time of hire. This may be up to one day s hire. Failure to return items by the agreed time may result in late fees being charged for the overdue period. There is a minimum hire period of 2 hours. Extra cleaning costs may apply up to the value of $323 for a full cleaning service, if required. All prices are in NZ$ and are GST exclusive. These are subject to change without notice.

4 Room Features Our teaching rooms come with a range of features that can include: Natural light Smartboard Whiteboard Computer Internet capabilities Lecterns Teleconference capabilities Laptop connections Data projector Audio response system teaching room Small Lecture Theatre The Small Lecture Theatre seats 119 people in a tiered theatre style. All seats are fitted with a tablet top, which can be moved to the side if required. There are also two wheelchair access seats available. The Theatre features state-of-the-art audiovisuals including the data projector and lectern complete with computer, DVD accessibility and touch screen control panel. There is also a microphone and lapel microphone fitted for the ease of the speakers. These audiovisual features make this theatre straightforward to use while not compromising on technology. Small Lecture Theatre

5 The Nordmeyer The Nordmeyer is our largest lecture theatre, seating 257 people in a tiered style. It features tablet top seats that have the ability to fold away, as well as access for up to four wheelchairs. The Nordmeyer Theatre features dual projection with the ability to display presentations and multimedia from the computer and a laptop concurrently. It also has DVD/ video devices and document cameras. The Nordmeyer has a microphone and lapel microphone fitted to aid speakers. An extra feature that is particularly popular in this theatre is the audio response system, which allows your audience to simultaneously and anonymously answer questions that can be instantly compiled as data. 6 Room Layouts All teaching rooms (excluding the lecture theatres) can be set up according to your specific needs. We have four different examples (pictured below). Just let us know prior to your event how you would like the rooms set up. Theatre Classroom Boardroom U-Shape

7 Additional Facilities Along with our standard teaching rooms and lecture theatres we can also provide spaces for any additional requirements you may have, including: D27 Videoconferencing Suite D27 is our dedicated video conferencing suite that features state of the art video facilities It has capacity for up to 10 people in a conference set up Special rates apply, contact reception if you would like more information. The Lobby Capacity for up to 200 people (standing) Features a sunken bay seating area and natural light Audio is available in the space with cordless microphone This is a great place for registration and mingling during breaks. Tables can also be set up to provide space for catering. Café (for hire evenings and weekends only) Our onsite café provides a spacious area that is perfect for functions and catering occasions Café seating available Simply Food can also cater your event for you.
