2 Emis Web Initial Extraction Process - Day 1 1. log into Using your user name and password. 2. Click Eclipse Live 3. Click Eclipse Live Admin 4. Then Click Generate import Scripts 5. Enter practice national code in the surgery code field. 6. Select Emis web as your System type. 7. Number of sections always 1 in the sections field. 8. Data range (1 month if not the first extraction) Always select the appropriate data range to cover the last time an extraction. For example 1 week is 7 day days so if it is 8 days since your last extraction then you will need to select 1 month. *it is recommended to do an all data once every 3 months 9. Always leave the include full patient list un-ticked 10. Then click the green button Generate Scripts. 11. Create a folder on your desktop and call it Eclipse 12. Save generated scripts into that folder. 13. Go to the Eclipse folder and open then right click on the compressed zipped file that is saved in that folder. 14. Select extract files and then extract This then creates a duplicate file without the zip, so that we can then import into Miquest. 15. Then go to Emis 16. Click on the Emis bubble 17. Scroll down to reporting and across to miquest 18. Along the top bar click on T- Transfer 19. Scroll down to Select local and files to import 2

3 20. Double click on the file until you query set Double click on the query set 1 folder 22. Single left click on any one of the files in that folder and press Ctrl+A to highlight all 333 queries 23. Make sure you receive a message with the number of files imported From the left menu select Query Unauthorised 25. Highlight one of the files imported on the right 26. Click A- Authorise set 27. Click yes on the message that appears 28. From the left click Waiting to run 29. Highlight one of the files on the right 30. Click D- Add to queue 31. Click yes on message that appears 32. Files will then run over night. 3

4 Emis Web Initial Extraction Process - Day 2 1. log into using your user name and password 2. Go to Eclipse Live 3. Go to Eclipse Live admin 4. Go to import data 5. Then go to Emis 6. Click on the Emis bubble 7. Scroll down to reporting and across to miquest 8. From the menu on the left select completed, awaiting authorisation 9. Highlight one of the files on the right 10. Click A- Autorise set 11. From the menu on the left select completed, authorise 12. Highlight one of the files on the right 13. Click on P- Export set 14. A dialog box will appear which will be asking you to select a location to export these files. Locate the Eclipse folder under desktop, double click on the file without a zip until you see output folder 15. Then click save these can take a while to export depending on size, internet connection and emis 16. Once saved in the output folder, go to that Eclipse folder on your desktop, double click on the file without a zip until you see the output folder. 17. Open the output folder then single left click on anyone of the files. 18. To highlight all files select Ctrl+A 19. Then right click on anyone of the selected files and select send to and then over to compressed (zip) file 4

5 20. Then go back to eclipse which is ready on the upload page and select browse 21. A dialog box will appear asking you to choose a file. Locate the output file within the Eclipse folder on your desktop 22. Double click on the file without a zip until you reach the output file then open the output folder. 23. Locate the Zip file within that file 24. Once located double click on the zip file 25. The click the green Import button and wait for the upload to complete 26. Once uploaded delete both folders created within the Eclipse folder on your desktop *It is recommended that an initial extraction be completed once every 3 months to refresh the system. (Eclipse can support with this should you need assistance) 5
