1 Getting the Most from jw.org The new official site jw.org is still in construction but here are some tips you might find useful. In the area marked as (A) click on the format you want. (See below for format information.) If you are viewing the site with a mobile device you may prefer the Mobile desktop view. (B)

2 MP3 = A popular audio format designed to reduce the amount of data needed to represent an audio recording. This format can be played on most computers and portable listening devices, sometimes called MP3 players. Some home and car audio systems can also play MP3 files. AAC = is a protected audio format compatible with itunes and ipods. PDF = (Portable Document Format) is a file format that preserves the layout and formatting of documents as intended by the publisher. It requires a PDF reader in order to view or print the files. Adobe Reader software is available as a free download from Personally I prefer Foxit Reader, the free PDF reader found at foxitsoftware.com. It lets you annotate, underline, highlight, and much more. And it s not a bloated piece of software that has many vulnerabilities like Adobe reader does. Most computer operating systems, many electronic reading devices, tablet computers, and smart phones support the display of PDF files. EPUB = (Electronic Publication) is a free and open electronic book standard for displaying text files that may contain pictures, designed mainly for electronic reading devices, tablet computers, and smart phones that support the display of EPUB files. When you click on the format link that you want, your computer will ask if you want to open the file, or save it to your computer. If you just want to view or listen to the file right now and not keep it, select Open. But if you wish to keep the file, then select to save it to your computer. (You may have to right-click the format to see your download options.) If you tried to listen to an MP3 audio file on your PC, but an error window popped up that said it could not find the lame_enc.dll file, you can get that file here: LAME-MP3-Encoder If you wish to download magazines older than the ones showing on the Home page of jw.org, click on the Downloads tab (C). That will take you to this new window:

To get older PDF or EPUB versions click on Magazines in the Digital Publications section (D). Notice there is now an orange right-arrow beside the Magazines link (E) showing you what page you are on.

3 To get older PDF or EPUB versions click on Magazines in the Digital Publications section (D). Notice there is now an orange right-arrow beside the Magazines link (E) showing you what page you are on. If you want a language other than English click on the little blue down arrow (F) and select the Language you want from the drop-down menu. Next click on the little blue down arrow (G) and select the Month you want from that drop-down menu. That will change the magazines below that area to the month of your choice for you to download. To download digital versions of Books and Brochures or the Bible, click those links in area (D) and then follow the same steps. (More below)

4 To get Audio versions of the older Magazines, in the Audio Recordings section (H) click on Magazines. Again, select the Language and Month you want. (F) and (G) Click the Bold MP3 or AAC link (I) to get the entire magazine, or if you only want to download a single article click the MP3 to the right of the article s name (J). To download Audio Recordings of Books and Brochures select that link in area (E) then select the Language and Publication you want. To download Audio Recordings of the Bible select that link in area (E) then select the Language and Bible Book you want. There is no option to download the entire Bible. You must download it one book at a time.

5 To download Audio Recordings of Music select that link in area (E) then select the Language and Recording you want. These are the Music selections currently available as of : Kingdom Melodies are orchestrated versions of select songs from our last song book. Sing to Jehovah Piano Accompaniment is the piano-only versions of our current song book. Sing to Jehovah Vocal Renditions are vocal renditions of orchestrated versions of select songs from our current song book. When you download a PDF, it is immediately ready for viewing. When you download an MP3, it is a zip file and needs to be un-zipped. Click Here to download win zip. Regardless of what you are downloading, make sure your download is finished downloading before you close your web browser or the file will not be complete and it will be un-usable. If this happens, just delete the partial file and start the download again.
