1 RBdigital eaudiobooks PC user guide Listen to RBdigital eaudiobooks on your PC via the RBdigital media manger program or transfer them to a portable device. Creating your RBdigital account New users if you have never used the RBdigital or Zinio for Libraries apps before, you will need to create a free account on the RBdigital site before you can log in. Existing users if you have previously used RBdigital or Zinio to read emagazines, you will still need to register on the RBdigital site to activate the eaudiobook content. You should use your existing address and password when registering. To create your account: 1. Open a web browser and go to 2. Click on Register at the top of the page 3. Fill in the required information to create your account Downloading and installing the RBdigital media manager RBdigital s free Media Manager software is required to listen to eaudiobooks on your PC or transfer them to another device. Links to download Media Manager are at the bottom of the page at Choose the version suitable for your computer, either Windows or Mac. November

Follow the prompts to install. Click Run, then click Next.

Check the Remember Password and Automatic login options. You are now ready to browse the catalogue, checkout and download eaudiobooks. November

Click the Search icon at the top right of the screen to search by keyword, title, author or narrator search. You can click on + View by genre to browse a specific category, or click + View all to see the entire collection. November

To borrow this title, click the Checkout button.

4 Click on a book cover to view a summary of that book, listen to a preview, or see similar titles. You can check the duration of an eaudiobook by clicking on Details. To borrow this title, click the Checkout button. Depending on your computer, you may get a pop up box appear at the bottom left of your screen as shown below. If so, click Open. This will automatically open the audio file in the RBdigital media manager program. November

Note: This screen also shows the expiry date beside each title. Once your title has completely downloaded, click Play to begin listening.

5 The RBdigital media manager will show all titles you have currently checked out. Click Play to download an audiobook in the media manager. This may take some time depending on the length of the audiobook (number of chapters) and your internet connection speed. Note: This screen also shows the expiry date beside each title. To return an audiobook before the due date, click Return. November

6 Renewing and returning an eaudiobook To renew a title, you will need to return to the RBdigital website in your browser. Click Renew below the title you wish to renew and click OK to confirm the renewal. You can also return a title before the expiry due date by clicking the X above each title you wish to delete and click OK to confirm the deletion. Note: When returning a title using this method, the audio files will also be deleted from RBdigital Media Manager. Downloading and Transferring an audiobook to a portable device Audiobooks can be downloaded and transferred to a portable device such as a tablet, smartphone or ipod. Note: The following instructions are based on a Samsung Android tablet. 1. Open the RBdigital media manager program. Connect your tablet via the supplied cable. Click on the Download and Transfer button of the title you wish to download. The screen will show your download progress. November

2. Once the download has completed, click on the Transfer button to transfer the files to your portable device. At the pop up box, click OK once the files have transferred successfully.

Audiobook book files will generally be found in the eaudiobooks folder in the File documents or Download folders on your device (depending on the structure of your device). 3.
