Accrate & repeatable thickness measrements can improve prodct qality whilst controlling the costs associated with raw material sage. The accracy of thickness measrement is determined by several key operating factors, the IGT precision thickness gage works within the following measrement parameters

Measrement speed and dwell time are controlled by ser defined parameters. Instrment Accracy, linearity, calibration Flatness/parallelism of measrement area The instrment is linearised throghot its measrement range sing a mlti point calibration. Flatness of measrement head/anvil <0.1μm Typical parallelism <1μm Operator Incorrect recording and analysis of reslts Sample handling and measrement techniqe External Effects Temperatre The IGT instrment provides fll statistical analysis of data. The optional printer allows a time/date stamped reslts label to be attached to job sheet or retained samples. User defined rotines or the optional footswitch mean hands free operation for easy sample maniplation. Temperatre stability circitry ensres the instrment electronics reach optimm conditions before testing. D E F I N E D P A R A M E T E R S Up Time: This parameter allows the ser to maniplate samples between Measrements sec Speed of measrement: The speed of the measrement head is especially important when measring deformable materials. 1-5mm/sec Dwell/Down Time: The dwell time determines the settling time of the measring head on compressible materials sec Pass/Fail Test: Enter the target thickness with percentage tolerance. Reslts are displayed with a PASS or FAIL. The instrment is operated via an integral toch screen and featres different measrement modes. Standard Test: Fll statistical analysis of p to 500 readings. Batch Test: Calclates the thickness difference between two measrement sets, sed to assess the thickness of coatings, adhesives or sample batches. Standard Tare Test: Atomatically tares the instrment before each test sing ser defined conditions. D A T A T R A N S F E R Measrements made sing the FT3 thickness gage can be exported to Microsoft Excel* via interface software. All measred and calclated parameters are transferred along with the date / time stamp, instrment serial nmber and calibration date. *sample excel sheets available on reqest

4 AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS FT3: Standard Instrment Fixed pressre, factory configred to meet a single test standard or specification of yor choice. FT3-V: Variable Instrment Test pressre is varied by adding additional weights to the instrment platform. Factory configred measrement head size. One external weight is inclded to achieve compliance to a second measrement standard or assess material compressibility. Additional external weights can be applied to increase measrement pressre p to 4kg total. FT3-U: Ultra High Precision Instrment Fixed pressre configred to meet a single test standard or specification. Enhanced resoltion of 0.01m for applications reqiring ltra high precision. Factory configred measrement mass between 50g and 500g available. Measrement Head: 25.5mm radis domed. Cstom radis domed heads available on reqest. FT3-LAB: Laboratory Instrment* Test pressre is varied by adding extra weights to the instrment platform or changing the size of the measrement head. Two external weights and one additional measring head inclded to achieve compliance to mltiple standards or cstomer specifications. *NB: This prodct is sitable for se by test and calibration laboratories as fll re-calibration is reqired between measrement head changes.
