1 Principal Leadership Reliability Measures Ben Saville, PhD, and JoAnn Alvarez March 26, 2009 This document gives information about missing data as well as cronbach alphas for the 72-item teacher s evaluation for wave 1 and wave 2 separately. The number of observations for each wave is given, along with the number of missing observations for each question. For each wave, the cronbach s alphas are given for all Core components (i.e. all 72 items) and for each core component separately. Following that are tables giving two quantities for each question, the item total correlation and the Cronbach s alpha without that question. The Item.total is the estimated Pearson correlation between a person s answer for the particular item with their total score for that component/test. The Alpha.Without is the cronbach s alpha for the collection of items if that particular item is removed. The six core components of the teacher s survey are High Standards for Student Learning, Rigorous Curriculum, Quality Instruction, Culture of Learning and Professional Behavior, Connections to External Communities, and Performance Accountability.
