1 Matrix Technical Support Mailer 56 Add Multiple PTZ Cameras in SATATYA DVR Dear Friends, This MTSM will help the user to add multiple PTZ Camera in MATRIX SATATYA DVR. PTZ stands for Pan Tilt Zoom and it is a type of camera with ability to position and zoom in the desired area SATATYA DVR supports multiple PTZ Cameras and it is easy to configure on all its available channels with different RS485 address Multiple PTZ Cameras can be connected to SATATYA DVR in parallel mode. 2 Let s see the configuration flow for adding multiple PTZ Cameras in SATATYA DVR. To add a PTZ Camera in SATATYA DVR, user need to configure only three parameters I. PTZ Interface II. PTZ Preset III. PTZ Tour 1. Open SATATYA DVR Web client. 2. Enter IP address of SATATYA DVR with Login credentials and Click Login. Please note, default IP address of SATATYA DVR is and default User name and Password is admin.

3 3. Click on Device Configuration to open Configuration Settings window. 4. Click PTZ Interface under Basic Settings. This will open PTZ Interface Settings window with default settings.

4 5. Select Channel number to add PTZ Camera.

5 Please note, all PTZ Interfacing parameters are available in camera specification guide and Matrix PTZ Camera configurations are mentioned below: Protocol: Pelcon D Address: 1 Baud Rate: 2400 Data Bits: 8 Stop Bits: 1 Parity: None 6. Select Protocol supported by camera.

6 7. Now, Specify RS485 Address to control PTZ camera. Each camera has unique address for communication. This address can be set using dip switch available on camera. 8. Specify Baud Rate i.e. speed at which camera will transfer data to SATATYA DVR.

7 9. Now, select Data Bits, Stop Bits and Parity bit for accurate data conversion between camera and SATATYA DVR.

8 10. Save configuration changes. After adding PTZ Camera in DVR, configure different position of camera in PTZ Preset. 11. Click PTZ Preset under Advanced Settings.

9 12. Select Channel on which camera is interfaced.

10 13. Select Position number to set camera position. 14. Now, provide desired name to the position in Position Name option. 15. Set position using control panel available besides it. User can also set speed and PTZ action.

11 16. Save configuration changes.

12 Likewise, user can add multiple positions to it. All positions are available in Available Positions list Here, user can select position from it and click Go To, to view particular position and can remove it using Remove button. Now, Set tour for all PTZ positions in PTZ Tour option. 17. Select PTZ Tour option under Advanced Settings.

13 18. Select Channel Number on which PTZ is configured.

14 Now, select PTZ Tour Number to configure Tour 19. Specify desired name to tour in Tour Name option.

15 20. Specify time delay between successive runs of the tour in Pause Between Runs option along with select Positioning Order. There are three different modes for Positioning Order. I. Looping : in this mode camera moves in looping manner i.e. first to last and again from last to first II. III. ZigZag : In this mode camera moves from up to down and again down to up Random : In this mode camera moves in random manner 21. Now, select present position orderwise and enter view time for that to view partcular position of the camera.

16 22. Save configuration changes. User can also set weekly schedule for PTZ Tour.

17 23. Click Set button available along with Weekly Schedule to specify schedule. 24. Configure time period of every day and select tour. 25. Now, Click OK User can set two different time periods for single tour.

18 26. Now, go to home page and click on camera channel symbol to start its view. 27. To start tour, click PTZ button available in toolbar at bottom of the home page. This will open PTZ Control window

19 Here, click Manual Tour button to play tour. Similarly, user can add multiple PTZ Cameras and configure tour for same. In this way, user can add a multiple PTZ Camera in SATATYA DVR.
