1. Introduction This document contains a list of OnGuard and third-party known limitations for OnGuard 7.1, and is intended as a supplement to the OnGuard 7.1 Release Notes. 2. General SmartID Pro DESFire encoder cannot be added on Windows 7 or Windows 8/Windows 8.1 unless OnGuard is run as Windows Administrator (OG-20141): In order to use the SmartID Pro DESFire encoder to encode DESFire (TWIC) and GSC (DESFire), OnGuard must be run as Windows Administrator. Installation May Appear Not to Start on Slower Systems: After the Preparing to Install window closes, there may be a pause before the installation appears to continue on slower systems. During this time the mouse pointer may not indicate an hourglass and it may appear that the installation has stopped. The installation will continue after a few moments. Double-click Generates an Error in the Online Help: A rapid double-click on a graphic within the online help produces an error. This is a known limitation within HTML Help. System Settings Do Not Apply to OnGuard Applications Until Restarted: System setting changes, such as font sizes, theme colors, and new printers are not reflected in running OnGuard applications until they are restarted. Names and User Names for Directory Accounts Linked to Cardholders are not Resolved: After linking a cardholder to a directory, the values in the Name and User Name columns might show as a long string of numbers. The long string of numbers is called the SID. The SID is displayed when the system cannot establish the name of the user based on the SID. This issue is related to the trust between users, domains, computers, sub-networks. 3. Access Control Inaccurate Search Results Count in Browser-based Area Access Manager (6x-9279): On a system with cardholder and/or badge type segmentation enabled, the results count for searches displayed in the browser-based Area Access Manager might be incorrect. The workaround is to use the desktop client Area Access Manager. Alarm Monitoring Incorrectly Reports Primary Communication of Ethlan-Micro When it is Actually Secondary Communication Path (OG-14767): Port 6 on the LNL-2000 should not be treated as the primary port when using dual path communications. If it is, status might not be properly reflected regarding the active port in Alarm Monitoring. Integrated Intrusion LCD Display of Event History Adds Spurious Event for Alarms with Door Set for Entry Delay (OG-15920): When utilizing the new Intrusion Mask Groups, an alarm caused by a Door Status event set for "Trigger" point mode will result in an extra event being displayed in the LCD keypad event history. The extra event will be labeled "256 TYPE ERROR" and have the same time as the door event, and can be ignored. This issue will be addressed in a future firmware version. OSDP Reader Might Have Incorrect LED Display (OG-17529): If power is lost to an Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) reader, but power to the Lenel reader interface is maintained, the LED display pattern might be incorrect until an access activity takes place. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

HID Edge Software for Device Communication Not Supported with 64-bit operating systems (Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8/Windows bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit) (OG-17749): The HID Edge software provided to Lenel by HID for device communications is not compatible with 64-bit operating systems (Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8/Windows bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit). Communication Servers expected to communicate to Edge devices cannot use these operating systems. HID Edge devices are supported with Windows Server 2008 SP2 Standard Edition 32-bit, Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit, and Windows 8/Windows 8.1 Enterprise 32-bit. Strike Field States Cutoff on Close (OG-18019): For HID Edge devices, the Strike field states Cutoff on close. The actual reader strike output will cutoff on open in all cases. Door Strike Time (OG-19333): For LNL access panels, the Door Strike time is about ½ second shorter than what you configure it for. Elevator Dispatching Systems Do Not Support Precision Access Levels (OG-22797): Elevator dispatching systems do not support precision access levels. Onity Integra Locks: Door Does Not Come Out of AFC Office Mode with AFC Office on Enter and Second Swipe of Badge (DE1671) (OG-23264): When the AFC office mode setting Unlock when enter is enabled on a lock, and Unlock when exit is not, the lock will only relock (following an entry event) when either the Relock timer expires or the Relock with deadbolt option is enabled and invoked. When both Unlock when enter and Unlock when exit are enabled on a lock, the lock will also relock when a valid card is swiped again, following the entry or exit events. Deleting Badges from Onity Integra Locks (OG-23265): When badges are deleted from ILS Integra locks, at least one (1) badge must always remain on the lock. Attempting to delete all badges from a lock will not succeed, and the lock will retain the same access privileges it had before the attempt was made. If you want to prohibit all access to a lock, use some other mechanism, such as blocking or changing schedules. Downstream Encryption Key Download Will Fail if any I/O Modules Are Offline (OG-23268): If any Series 2 I/O modules (LNL-1300, LNL-1320, LNL-1100, LNL-1200) are offline when the Download Encryption Keys command is issued from Alarm Monitoring, the command will fail and some or all of the boards will not receive the keys. To work around this issue, ensure all boards are online. If a board is known to be offline, delete it from the system to download keys to the other boards. Lenel ILS Locks: Lenel holiday and timezone configuration (OG-23433): The Lenel holiday and timezone configurations are available for use across the hardware platforms supported by the OnGuard software. The ILS lock functionality is limited to holiday types H1 through H8, in that ILS does not support the holiday type recognition. Any holiday type or holiday types that are selected are processed simply as an ILS holiday. Care should be taken when creating timezones, and applying these OnGuard timezones. This is especially important when affecting lock mode (such as Unlock) in this regard. Guardall Px device translator filters out the Set/Unset alarms from being reported to OnGuard (OG-25249). Central timing function for CASI is incorrect (OG-28001): Timers in the NGP-CASI firmware installed on the M2000, M3000, and DirecDoor controllers are accurate up to one second and may differ by up to one second from the configured value. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Promoting an LNL-500/1000/2000 access panel to the LNL-2210: In order to promote an access panel to the LNL-2210, the panel s Primary Connection must be configured as a LAN type. In addition, the panel s existing devices need to conform with one of the configurations supported by the LNL-2210: Up to eight downstream RS-485 devices (readers modules and alarm panels) Up to 17 readers (using eight dual reader interface modules and one on-board reader) LNL-2210: Changing between a downstream and non-downstream configuration might require a full download to the panel: Changing the LNL-2210 configuration between downstream and non-downstream readers might require a database download to the panel. Specifically, downloads are required when the first downstream device is added to the LNL-2210 or the only downstream device is deleted from the panel. LNL-2210: Valid reader/downstream device configurations enforced: Valid LNL-2210 configurations include either: Two on-board readers and no downstream devices or One on-board reader (#1) and up to eight downstream devices or 16 off-board readers LNL-2210: Two on-board readers are pre-configured as Master and Slave: When both LNL-2210 on-board readers are configured: Door-related status and alarms reported in Alarm Monitoring are associated with on-board reader #1. Master/Slave settings are automatically configured as follows: Reader #1 is specified as the Paired Master Reader #2 is specified as the Paired Slave and is selected as the Dual Interface Reader 2 for reader #1 LNL-2210: Other on-board reader support limitations: LNL-2210 on-board readers do not support Aux Inputs LNL-2210 on-board reader #1 supports Aux Outputs Output1 controls only LNL-2210 on-board reader #2 does not support the Door Contact/REX controls Additional Keys During Biometric Verification Will be Ignored: During a biometric verification, additional keys pressed at an associated keypad will be ignored and will not start a new access attempt. Galaxy Ethernet Module Not Supported for Dimension Panels: Galaxy Ethernet module is not supported for Dimension panels. 4. DataConduIT DataConduIT's Lnl_AlarmOutput and Lnl_AlarmInput methods not supported on elevator hardware (OG-25694): In DataConduIT, all methods for the Lnl_AlarmInput and Lnl_AlarmOutput classes are not supported on Mercury, NGP, or CASI alarm panels when those panels are designated as elevator hardware. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

5. Digital Video Black Video Cells in Remote Monitor (6x-8823): If a video cell appears black in Remote Monitor, click [Stop] and then click [Play]. If this does not resolve the issue, right-click the Remote Monitor and select Download Database. Selecting a Video Cell in Browser-based VideoViewer Automatically Locks PTZ (6x-8905): When a user selects a cell in browser-based VideoViewer, PTZ control is assumed and PTZ is locked for other users. To release control of the PTZ, select the lock/unlock button or wait for the timeout. ASF Files Not Supported in Alarm Monitoring (6x-8906): Advanced Systems Format (ASF) files are not compatible with Alarm Monitoring. If an ASF file is loaded, the date will show incorrectly. ASF files should be opened with Windows Media Player. Intel Decoder Must be Installed for Playback with the Panasonic 474 (6x-8916): The Intel Decoder is required for playback using the stand-alone video player for the Panasonic 474. Install the Intel IPP by running Setup.exe from the OnGuard Installation disc in the \Temp\INTEL folder. Copy the LnrIntlDmo.dll file from the OnGuard disc in the \Common\Lenel\ folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lenel\ and register the file. Exported LDVR Files Not Automatically Associated with VideoViewer (6x-9006): VideoViewer must be opened once before exported LDVR files can be opened with a mouse double-click. Go To PTZ Preset Feature Not Supported when Lenel NVR is Offline (OG-12958): The Go To Preset action cannot be executed when there is a direct connection to the camera. The Lenel NVR must be online for this action to be successful. Joystick Control Difficult Due to Delays in Video (OG-15077): PTZ might appear slow due to buffering that is included to allow better image quality. For customers that require better PTZ performance, a workaround exists that includes setting audio to off. The workaround is to update the registry [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lenel\Lnr]"LiveVideoBuffer" -> DWORD. This value, when set to 0, will speed up the live viewing for both MJPEG and MPEG4 cameras but introduces audio issues. Note: Modifying the registry could cause irreversible damage to your Windows operating system. Back up the registry before making any changes. Follow the instructions located at: DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

PAL Cameras might not have Frame Rates Color-coded to Indicate Supported Frame Rates (OG-15468): Regions using PAL and incorporating the following list of cameras might not have the frame rate displayed in green/red to indicate supported frame rates: Axis MPEG4 (only): 213 PTZ Axis MJPEG (only): 240Q Axis MJPEG and MPEG4: 214 PTZ, 215 PTZ, 241Q, 241QA, 241S, 241SA, 243Q, 243SA, 247S Axis 231D MJPEG and MPEG4 (Both PAL and NTSC) Axis 232D MJPEG and MPEG4 (Both PAL and NTSC) Axis 233D MJPEG and MPEG4 (Both PAL and NTSC) Axis Q7401 MJPEG and H264 (PAL) Axis Q7406 MJPEG and H264 (PAL) Bosch All Cameras (Both PAL and NTSC) HikVision All Cameras (Both PAL and NTSC) Lenel: All cameras Panasonic MJPEG (only): WV-NW474 Panasonic WV-NF284 MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NF302 MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NP244 MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NP304 MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NS954 MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NW484S MPEG4 Panasonic WV-NS964 MPEG4 Sony MJPEG (only): RZ-30, CS3 Sony MJPEG and MPEG4: DF-40, DF-70, P5, RZ-25, Z20 Sony MJPEG, MPEG4, H264: CS50, DF-50, DF-80, RX-550, RZ-50 All Sony SNC-xxxxP PAL Cameras Double Video on Alarm with LDVR (OG-15506): For customers using LDVR (non-hybrid systems only), the PauseOnDoubleVideoOnAlarm setting in the ACS.INI file must be set to 0 on all client computers. Channel pre-roll values must be set to 15 seconds or more. This is required in order to avoid black screen issues and video not available error messages when recorded video is played back as part of the double video on alarm feature. The amount of pre-roll required depends on the video resolution and bitrate that is used. The larger the size and frequency of the frames, the smaller pre-roll time can be configured. Double Video with Time-lapse Limitation (OG-15507): When using the Double Video on Alarm feature, the time lapse setting must have the same value as the AlarmDurationMax value, otherwise there might be black video. Mobotix Cameras Require a Longer Direct Connect Default Timeout (OG-15569): Mobotix cameras will not work properly with Direct Connect at default timeout. The default 5 second timeout will not work since the camera might take longer to start. Set the Direct connect to a higher value, such as 10 seconds. Streaming Video Server Not Supported with H.264 Video Source (OG-16019): The H.264 camera codec is not supported with the BARCO/Streaming Video Server integration. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

IntelligentVideo Events Allow Region of Interest that Extends Past the Image Boundaries (OG-16056): The user interface allows a region of interest to be configured that extends outside of the image area with the Object Crosses a Region and People Counting events. This configuration is not supported and might cause the event to not function properly. Frame Rates Higher than 50 FPS Might Not be Accurate (OG-16061): Setting the frame rate to above 50 FPS on cameras that support high frame rates might result in a slightly different FPS value. For example, if the frame rate is set to 50 FPS, you might experience a frame rate of 52 FPS. Lenel NVR Motion Detection Not Supported with IQinVision Cameras (OG-16501): IQinVision cameras should not be configured with Lenel NVR motion detection. This configuration is not supported and might cause the system to become unresponsive. To work around this issue, utilize the camera motion detection functionality and configure the camera to send motion alarms to the OnGuard system. Audio Limitations: Live video from the AXIS 210A MPEG4 with audio enabled appears to be in time-lapse mode (OG-16665) There is a two second or greater delay in recording audio in MPEG4 (OG-16666) Cannot export video from MPEG4 cameras with audio to ASF format (OG-16919) HIKVision/Lenel PCI Boards Might Require Manual Driver Installation (OG-17395): If HIKVision/Lenel PCI boards are added to an existing Lenel NVR, the drivers for the boards might need to be installed manually. Panasonic Camera Model Numbers in the Device Discovery Console (OG-17442): Some Panasonic cameras are displayed by their series number rather than their model number in the Device Discovery Console. These cameras will not display their camera model numbers, but instead they display the series of the camera. For example, the Panasonic NS954 is part of the WV-NS950 series and would be displayed as a Panasonic NS950. For a list of Panasonic camera display names, refer to the Device Discovery Console User Guide. Connection to Panasonic i-pro Network Cameras in MPEG4 Might Fail After Multiple Connections are Made (OG-17488): When multiple connections are made to Panasonic i- Pro network cameras, some of the connections might fail. This might occur during specific conditions when Lenel NVR services, or network connectivity, are lost and then restarted, or when Lenel NVR clients simultaneously attempt direct connections to individual cameras. This is a camera limitation caused by a limit to the number of concurrent sessions supported by the cameras. The problem is experienced only in very specific circumstances. Once a camera is disconnected, the session/uid might not terminate properly, and is not automatically released until a timeout is reached. The default time out for unresponsive sessions/uids with i-pro network cameras is two (2) minutes. To resolve this issue, close all connections to the camera and wait two (2) minutes before reconnecting. Note: For more information about Panasonic i-pro Network Cameras with MPEG4, refer to the Lenel Knowledge Base. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Error When Switching to Live Video after Viewing Recorded from Archive Server (OG-17598): When video is opened using the Launch recorded video from > Archive Server right-click menu item in Alarm Monitoring, the communication path becomes locked to the Archive Server and the player cannot be switched to live video. If you want to view live video, close the Video Player and launch live video. Axis Cameras with H.264 Compression Do Not Support Square Pixel Compensation (OG-17659): Square pixel compensation is not supported by Axis cameras with H.264 compression. When using square pixel compensation, the camera still transmits, for example, 352x240 if the camera is set to 320x240. The resolution is corrected in the viewer, thus providing no visual, storage, or bandwidth benefits. False Motion Detection Alarms from Lenel ICT230 Located in a Dark Room (OG-17771): There is a known issue with the Lenel ICT230 cameras (firmware version 3.0) generating false motion detection alarms when they are located in a dark room. Gaps in Recorded Video when Saving Embedded Event Configuration to Camera (OG-17880): Saving embedded analytics configuration changes to an LCi-100-dx camera might result in several seconds of unrecorded video for the channel. In rare instances this might result briefly in a Communication Lost alarm for the camera channel. PTZ Tour Server Does Not Run on Channel in Failover (OG-17970): The PTZ Tour Server does not work when a channel is in failover mode. The PTZ Tour Server can be configured while in failover mode, but will not run until the primary video recorder has been restored. Non-numeric Passwords Not Supported by HIKVision Cameras (OG-18028): Nonnumeric passwords are not supported for HIKVision cameras. It is possible to successfully change the password for the camera using the Security tab in System Administration to a nonnumeric password. If this occurs, the user will be locked out of the camera Web page. Video Artifacts with RTP over UDP with Some Bitrate/Resolution Combinations (OG-18053): When using cameras with RTP over UDP, artifacts might occur in the final image. This is due to the fact that UDP is a transmission without acknowledgement protocol and could have loss of packets during transmission in busy networks. This becomes more obvious when the video is bigger (for example, in the case of transmission of larger bitrates and resolutions). RTP over TCP/IP or RTP over RTSP over HTTP might be a better option with cameras that support them because they are more reliable and do not present this issue. Video Appears Washed-out After Adjusting Resolution on HIKVision DS-2CD852F Camera (OG-18054): Adjusting the resolution in the HIKVision DS-2CD852F camera causes the video to appear washed-out. To return the video image to normal after changing the resolution, open the Camera > Video Sensor sub-tab, click [Reset to Defaults], then click [Apply]. Inputs Not Supported with HIKVision Cameras (OG-18062): Inputs are not supported with HIKVision cameras in this release. User Authentication Not Supported with Panasonic MPEG4 Cameras (OG-18385): Panasonic MPEG4 cameras are not supported with User Authentication configured on the camera Web site. This is a limitation of the camera firmware. To view video from these cameras, turn off User Authentication on the camera website. Audio Supported Only on Channel 1 with AXIS 7404 Video Encoder (OG-18932): Audio is only supported for channel 1 on AXIS 7404 video encoders. It is possible to configure audio for other channels, however these will not work properly. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Recorded Video Playback Restarts When Returning to Previously Selected Cell in VideoViewer (Browser-based Client) (OG-19046): Users can request recorded video from the Lenel NVR with the VideoViewer (Browser-based Client) that the video recorder does not have. The video recorder will provide whatever video it can so if the user requests 12:10:00 and the Lenel NVR has video after 12:15:00, the video will play from that available time and onward. The time in the cell will be different from the time in the requested Begin Time window. When the user selects a different cell and then re-selects the original cell with the time mismatch, the video will play from the beginning of the available video. Spservn.exe Service Stops or Closes Unexpectedly When More Than 20 TB of Storage is in Use (OG-19312): A maximum storage capacity of 20 TB is recommended for LDVR. Larger storage sizes might cause the spservn.exe service to use a large amount of memory, causing it to eventually stop or close unexpectedly. Lenel NVR Issues with Axis Video Servers with No Feeds Connected (OG-19329): Axis analog video servers configured on a Lenel NVR that do not have any video signals plugged into them might cause the Lenel NVR to leak memory and eventually stop responding. This issue can be avoided either by not adding the unconnected channels to OnGuard or by marking them logically offline. Bosch Cameras Not Supported with the IntelligentVideo Server (OG-19703): Bosch cameras are not supported with IntelligentVideo events. Remote Monitor and Alarm Monitoring Might Become De-synchronized (OG-19830): Remote Monitor and Alarm Monitoring might become de-synchronized after Alarm Monitoring is restarted. For example, Video Quality Enhancement (VQE) settings made for the Remote Monitor channel are no longer selected in the user interface after restarting Alarm Monitoring. VideoViewer (Browser-based Client) CAB fails installation if.net 4.5 is not installed (OG-20349):.NET 4.5 is required on the client. Limitation of Third-party Software on Supplemental Materials disc Videology PZ Viewer will stop responding if any action is performed without live video running (OG-20371): This is a known limitation of the Videology PZ Viewer application that is included on the Supplemental Materials disc. Any time an action is performed on a still photo and/or before any live video has been launched, the application stops responding. An action would be attempting to Flip or Mirror an image, increase hue, zoom, etc. Live video must be running for any actions to be performed. Import XML does not allow modification of inputs on Sony V704 (OG-20542): When exporting XML from a Lenel NVR with the Sony V704 camera (all four inputs) and then importing into another Lenel NVR, the user cannot change the input number for the V704 camera. The workaround is to manually modify the channels to have the correct input number. Cannot import HIK analog channels from an XML to an Lenel NVR (OG-20543): Exporting XML from a Lenel NVR, which already has HikVision analog channels, and then importing the file into another Lenel NVR, selecting an analog channel, and clicking the Add button, produces an error stating that the channel is missing or has an invalid IP address. The workaround is to type and then click Add. The tool will then allow the channel to be added. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Remote Monitor Client and Server do not support Unicode (OG-20866): The Remote Monitor Client and Server do not support Unicode. This might cause a username or password in a non-ascii character set to not work in some cases. Status bar does not show Offline if a camera is marked offline (OG-21062): When a camera is manually marked offline, Alarm Monitoring and Video Viewer will not display a red footer with a Communication Lost message at the bottom of the video cell for the offline camera when the video stream is interrupted. When live video buffering is enabled, Communication Lost message does not appear in the live video window (OG-21072): When buffered video is enabled ("bufreader0=1" in ACS.INI file), Alarm Monitoring and Video Viewer will not display a red footer with a "Communication Lost" message at the bottom of a video cell when the video stream is interrupted. Changing resolution of a camera while video search window is open causes LpsSearchSvc.exe to close unexpectedly on client (OG-21079): The LpsSearchSvc Windows service might close unexpectedly if the camera resolution is changed while a camera is opened in the Video Search dialog (for configuring IntelligentVideo or Lenel NVR-based video analytics). Selecting Update Capabilities on an SP408 hybrid channel produces a Class not registered error (OG-21204): Configuring a Lenel NVR with SP408 hybrid channels, and then adding one of the channels, selecting the hybrid channel, and clicking [Update Capabilities], produces an error message of...class not registered. If the user clicks [OK], it correctly says No in the Embedded column. Newly required video standard setting for Axis 231D, 232D, and 233D cameras can cause recorder download and camera modify failures after Lenel NVR is upgraded to Technology Update (OG-21298): Upgrading Lenel NVR that has Axis 231D, 232D, or 233D cameras to Technology Update will cause recorder downloads and individual camera configuration changes for these camera models to fail. This is because OnGuard is not initially aware that the video standard setting is now required for these camera models and thus the video standard field is hidden in System Administration. The following steps are required to work around this issue (after the Lenel NVR upgrades): 1. Click the Update Capabilities button on the System Administration > Video > Digital Video > Video Recorder tab. This must be done for all upgraded recorders that use these cameras (or can potentially use them in the future). This step should cause the "Standard" combo box to be displayed on the Camera tab for these camera models. Note, however, that for existing cameras, this field is initially empty, which is why the second step below is also required. 2. Click Modify, select a valid entry from the Standard combo box, and then click OK on the Camera tab. This step must be done for all Axis 231D, 232D, and 233D cameras that are currently configured in the system. Future versions of the Streaming Video Server will not support LDVR video (OG-22595): With the release of Lenel NVR 7.0, the streaming server is now an embedded part of the LNV Suite. Those using LDVR must use the streaming server that was released and approved for their LDVR version. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Performance Monitor in Lenel NVR Shows the Incorrect Live Frame Rate for IQinVision H.264 Cameras (OG-22699): Using Performance Monitor in Lenel NVR to view live frame rate for the IQinVision cameras will show a frame rate that is more than the configured frame rate. Arecont Vision - The frame rate displayed in launching video does not match the value of live video Frames per second selected in System Administration (OG-22722): 1. The AV1300, AV1300-AI and AV1300DN models will provide unlimited frame rate when set to 15 FPS. All other frame rates will provide the number requested. 2. The following models are supported only in MJPEG mode (that is, H.264 is not supported): AV3135 and AV10005 (megapixel mode) 3. When using camera models AV8180, AV8185, AV8360 and AV8365, in MJPEG mode, we recommend the following: When using the quarter resolution (800x600 per sensor, 3200x600 for all four channels), run all four channels at 10 fps each or lower. Any other variation may produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. When using the full resolution (1600x1200 per sensor, 6400x1200 for all four channels), run all four channels at 5 fps each or lower. Any other variation may produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. You will need to request the same frame rate from all four sensors. Any other variation may produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. 4. When using camera models AV8185 and AV8365, in H.264 mode, we recommend the following: When using the quarter resolution (800x600 per sensor, 3200x600 for all four channels), run all four channels at 15 FPS each. Any other variation might produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. When using the full resolution (1600x1200 per sensor, 6400x1200 for all four channels), run all four channels at 5 FPS each. Any other variation might produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. You will need to request the same frame rate from all four sensors. Any other variation might produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. 5. The Arecont Vision cameras by default do not come with username and password enabled. We are advising customers to immediately setup a username and password for additional security. 6. Exporting video to.asf format at a high resolution (higher than 2000x2000) is not working due to an.asf format limitation. Lower resolution export is working with no issues. Exporting to.lnr format is also working at any resolution. 7. Video processing is not working with the Arecont Vision cameras in H.264 mode (Video Processing - Blind Camera (AI), Brightness Change, Motion Detection (AI)). This is due to brightness change that is introduced in the image and makes the algorithms less sensitive and thus unusable. The Intelligent Video algorithms do not witness the same behavior and work without issues. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

8. The AV3135 camera supports different resolutions in Day mode and lower resolutions in Night mode. During Night mode while the user selects 1024x768 (which is true for Day mode), the camera will transmit 640x512 and when the user selects 2048x1536 (which is true for Day mode), the camera will transmit 1080x The following features are not supported: Camera Motion detection - Working on AV10005 and newer models. Lenel is working with Arecont Vision and will provide this feature at a future time. Audio (either regular audio or two-way audio - camera does not offer audio) PTZ (camera does not support Optical/Mechanical PTZ) Dry Contacts (Inputs/Output) In camera storage (camera does not offer In Camera Storage) 10. The frame rates set to 15 or lower are consistent with the number of frames received. Anything over 15 might produce inconsistent "frames per second" numbers. 11. The above cameras do not support Optical PTZ. 12. For Motion detection to work correctly on AV10115, the threshold level must be set to 20 or more. 13. The Flush Mount (D4F series), Surface Mount (D4S series) and Surface Mount outdoor (D4SO series) are automatically supported if their parent model is supported. For example, if AV1115 is supported, then D4F-AV , D4S-AV and D4SO- AV will also be supported by selecting AV1115 in the OnGuard software. Interlogix Camera: Supported Video Sensor Parameters Disabled in System Administration (OG-22912): For the Interlogix TVC-N220-1 MPEG4 NTSC camera, sharpness and white balance cannot be configured in System Administration. Sharpness and white balance can be configured on the camera webpage. govision video recorder cannot be discovered in Device Discovery Console (OG-22956): govision does not show up in the scanned list. WinPcap (from the Supplemental Materials disc) must be installed to correct this issue. Remote Monitor does not handle an IP change when using a hostname (OG-22986): In order to resolve this, the Communication Server must be restarted. Interlogix TVD-N210V-2+ MPEG4 Codec is Not Available on Camera Web Page (OG-23208): When adding the Interlogix TVD-N210V-2+ camera in System Administration, the user has the option to select MPEG 4 codec. The camera will then appear offline in Alarm Monitoring. After logging into the camera Web page, if you select the Stream type of Sub stream, and then try to configure the Video Encode Type to MPEG4, the codec is not available. NAS Compatibility (OG-23272): Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices are supported by Lenel NVR. Not all devices work the same. As with any storage device responsible for recording continuous streams of data, the continuous uninterrupted read/write rates for the unit must be in line with the expected incoming/outgoing data streams. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Serial and USB Joysticks Limited to First Application Used (OG-23273): Serial joysticks such as the Panasonic 605 can only be used by one application. Typically the first application (browser-based VideoViewer or Alarm Monitoring) running will scan the ports and attempt to connect to a joystick. If the port is occupied (typically by an application that is connected and working with the port) the port will be skipped from the scan, so the second application will not find the joystick. USB joysticks (such as the AXIS 295) will work fine with the same user trying to use the joystick from different applications. The only known limitation for the USB joysticks is that when a different user on the same computer is trying to use the joystick from a different application, it will not work. Buffering Streaming Video is Disabled by Default (OG-23275): The Buffering Streaming Video feature is now disabled by default and will also be disabled after an upgrade. For more information about buffering, refer to the Video Monitoring chapter of the Digital Video Software User Guide. Buffering Streaming Video with Audio Causes Lag in Timestamp (OG-23276): When the Buffering Streaming Video feature is activated and the video stream contains audio, the timestamp that is presented by default lags by a few seconds and the lag increases gradually. This has no effect with the video presented which is in the current live time. A workaround is to click the arrow to get to the latest minute of the buffering. IQInvision cameras - An error message is displayed when changing password in System Administration (OG-23560): Changing the camera password for IQInvision cameras is not supported. PTZ Zoom with mouse wheel is non-responsive and/or slow (OG-23694): When using PTZ mode in Alarm Monitoring with an Axis P5532-E PTZ camera, use the buttons on the toolbar to zoom rather than the mouse wheel. When attempting to zoom using the mouse wheel, the system might be unresponsive or zoom very little. Live Video Being Viewed During a VMotion Event of an Lenel NVR Might Not Come Back (OG-23740): During a VMotion event, at near completion, the majority of the channels might go to the "Video signal lost" state in Alarm Monitoring on every client. The channels might return to the full live frame rate on most clients, but on some they might never come back and stay in the Video Signal Lost state. Reloading the channels might work in some cases but it might still not solve the issue. Arecont Vision - The value of compression cannot be set to 0 in Video tab of System Administration (OG-23842): Compression setting for Arecont Vision cameras, in H.264, begin at 1 and end at 100 with a 5 step increment due to normalization that happens to address the values on the camera that begins from 36 and end at 16. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

IQInvision cameras - Camera Motion Detection (OG-23903): Motion detection is supported only for the following IQInvision cameras: IQEye501 IQEye511 IQEye702 IQEye705 IQEye751 IQEye753 IQEye802 IQEye805 IQEye851 IQEye853 IQA10 IQA12 IQA15 IQEye510 IQEye701 IQEye703 IQEye711 IQEye752 IQEye755 IQEye803 IQEye811 IQEye852 IQEye855 IQA11 IQA13 Sony SNT-EX154 - Video signal lost when selecting audio check box (OG-23970): Video signal lost will occur on Sony SNT-EX154 when trying to retrieve audio from channels that do not have audio. The Sony SNT-EX154 has only one audio channel assigned to the first channel of the card. The other channels do not have audio so requesting audio is not supported (although allowed). Communication Server needs to be restarted in order to import updated presets for the RC-E cameras (OG-24163): Once the Communication Server restarts and performs Import Cameras from the recorder under the Digital Video module of System Administration, the updated preset information is available in Alarm Monitoring. Connecting to VideoViewer (Browser-based Client) with Internet Explorer 64-bit on a computer with OnGuard does not work properly (OG-24258): It is recommended to use the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer when using VideoViewer (Browser-based Client). If the 64-bit version is used, the system might download the CAB file every time the application is started. The user will see an 'x' where the video template should be. There is no way to get video to stream into the 64-bit application. Schedule PTZ preset failed for the presets created in Alarm Monitoring (OG-24355): The Schedule PTZ Action failed message is displayed. NetDVMS: Restoring the network connection does not give "Video Source Signal Lost" alarm (OG-24376): When using a NetDVMS or RC-C recorder with an Axis Encoder, there is a scenario in which camera status will not be reported properly in Alarm Monitoring. If the video cable that connects an analog camera to the Axis Encoder is disconnected while the Axis Encoder is offline or powered down, the camera will appear to be online in Alarm Monitoring when the Axis Encoder is brought back online or powered up. This is a recorder limitation. IQinVision IQA35NE-B6 - MJPEG - Camera firmware version does not display in Alarm Monitoring (OG-24393): The Firmware Revision of the camera displayed beside the camera icon in the System Status Tree is shown as 0.0 instead of the correct Firmware Revision. Certain cameras do not have color-coded frame rates (OG-24432): All AreCont Vision cameras do not have color-coded frame rates. The cameras added for OnGuard 2012 (6.5) do not have color-coded frame rates. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

Prism Migration Tool: Camera outputs are not migrated (OG-26793): The Prism Migration Tool does not migrate camera outputs. Video from third-party recorder does not display in Alarm Monitoring (OG-27089): Video from a third-party recorder may not display in Alarm Monitoring even though the video displays in System Administration and Video Viewer. TruVision TVN 21 Recorder - Audio does not synchronize with video when muting and unmuting the recorded clip (OG-29399): When muting and unmuting the recorded clip in TruVision Player from a TVN 21 recorder, the audio does not synchronize with the video. This is a third-party limitation. MPEG4 with Axis Cameras: Camera time-stamps are not available with Axis MPEG4 cameras. Because of how the Axis cameras communicate, the Inputs and Outputs are not as reliable in MPEG4 as they are with MJPEG. Lenel does not recommend Capture Video only on Event with MPEG4, as it takes several seconds to connect to the camera and begin recording. When using MPEG4 and moving in and out of Time-Lapse recording, there is a one-frame loss. Therefore, Pre-roll should be set at least one second greater than you need. The higher the frame rate, the less noticeable this one-frame loss is. Lenel also recommends using a high frame rate with MPEG4 and Time-Lapse Recording. When using an Axis Video Server (241Q, 241S, 241QA, 241SA) you will occasionally experience a problem where the video will stop recording when you change the frame resolution. This can be fixed by opening a live video stream and letting it run for several seconds, or restarting the Lenel NVR services. Video Acceleration in the Video Player must be set to None in order to ensure a clear video picture. Axis cameras might experience a ghosting effect at higher Group of Video Object Planes (GOV) lengths. This issue is resolved with Axis firmware version 4.40, which is available for download on the Axis Web site. If the firmware cannot be upgraded, the GOV length should be set to 30 frames or less. Lumenera Cameras: The Inputs on the Lumenera camera cannot be configured or monitored through the OnGuard software. This applies to both Lumenera and the Lenel Smart Camera. Starting video search might cause the computer s CPU to enter a constant loop due to the high resolution of the video. Megapixel video searches that are lengthy might cause the system to stop responding and require a reboot. Results will vary by computer. Short searches are recommended to avoid this issue. Setting a camera to 1024 x 768 and a compression of 10 or less might result in 0 frames being streamed. Lumenera 375 camera image might change from normal to dark if a large dark object blocks or is placed in close proximity to the lens and covers more than 60% of the field of view for more than 2 seconds. Lumenera Technical Support can be reached at (press 2 from the autoattendant) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST or via at support@lumenera.com. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

White Balance Setting Must be Configured from Panasonic Camera Web Page: The White Balance for Panasonic cameras cannot be updated from the OnGuard user interface and must be adjusted manually from the camera Web page. Some Panasonic WV-NP1000/1004 Camera Settings Must Be Applied Manually: Panasonic WV-NP1000/1004 cameras have settings that cannot be applied by the OnGuard software. These settings can be applied to achieve either the best quality or the best frames per second performance. Modify one of these settings: "Scan mode" or "Maximum resolution" (depending on the Scan mode either 1280x960 or 960x720.) When the scan mode is set to Partial Scanning, the user can get higher frame rates but lower quality. At Full Scanning the user gets better quality but lower frames per second. The maximum resolution needs to be turned off when the user is trying to access lower resolutions from the Lenel NVR. Lumenera LI045C Resolution is Limited: The Lumenera LI045C camera has a limitation which only allows a resolution of 720x480 for NTSC and 720x576 for PAL. Frame Rate Drops With AXIS 241Q When the Camera Web Page is Opened: The frame rate drops when viewing video from an AXIS 241Q through OnGuard when the camera Web page is opened. This is a known third-party limitation with the video server. Camera Web pages should be closed when viewing video through the OnGuard software. AXIS 240x Video Servers Do Not Report an Error When Offline: The AXIS 240x video servers do not support the detection of the video channel interface. These models will not support the Video Signal Offline feature found in the latest Lenel NVR servers. Toshiba Cameras Do Not Support Maximum Frame Rate With Maximum Resolution: Toshiba cameras do not support the ability to obtain the maximum frame rate with the maximum resolution. This is a third-party camera limitation of Toshiba cameras. The OnGuard system will attempt to obtain the maximum frames out of the camera but some configurations might not achieve the desired frame rate because the camera might provide less. Cannot Limit Frame Rate on Bosch Cameras from the Camera Web Page: The Web page for Bosch cameras offers a Performance Option to limit the frame rate. This option does not affect the frame rate in the OnGuard software. Shadow Effect with Bosch Dinion Camera: Remove the shadow effect on the Bosch Dinion Camera by enabling the Dynamic Noise Reduction setting on the Camera Settings > Camera Profile > Enhance section of the camera Web page. Bosch 8008 Camera: There is a three (3) second delay before video is displayed from a Bosch 8008 camera. This delay is seen when launching video from the Bosch 8008 and when switching from one 8008 channel to another. Upgrading H.264 Sony Camera Firmware Might Require a Full Download: Changes to Sony firmware affect the H.264 protocol. The Lenel NVR supports both methods, but when upgrading cameras to the newest firmware you might need to perform a full download for the Lenel NVR to communicate properly with the camera. Device Camera Link and Capture Video on Event Delay: When using a Device Camera link, there might be a small lag time of 1 to 2 seconds before the event actually triggers the event on the camera. This delay should be taken into account when setting pre-roll on a camera. Offline Lenel NVR Might Cause a Delay in Alarm Reporting: When a Lenel NVR is offline, there might be a delay before alarms are received by the Communication Server. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

In-Camera Storage Feature Considerations: Users should refrain from viewing video during times that the Lenel NVR is downloading video from the camera. The In-Camera Storage timezone should not be set to Always. Cameras configured with In-Camera Storage appear offline in Alarm Monitoring. Communication Loss/Restored alarms are generated each time video is launched for the camera. As a workaround, users can configure Camera I/O or Camera Motion Detection. Users should not use the filename prefix option on the camera Web page. This setting will hide the files from the Lenel NVR download service. Leave the filename prefix blank. If the Lenel NVR is downloading from the camera, users might experience delays in stopping Lenel NVR services. Extra memory in the camera can cause it to stop responding. If this occurs, the drive might require reformatting. Setting the Color Mask with Grayness in Object Detection: The Grayness slider for the color mask in the Object Detection engine is not guaranteed to smoothly change the color mask. Configure color mask as much as possible using the color palette tool and the Hue slider. 6. Enterprise Global I/O Restrictions (OG-13969): Global I/O linkages will not work between two Enterprise regions. Global I/O configurations must use the same Linkage Server. IntelligentVideo Applications Not Available on Enterprise Master when Configured on a Child Region (OG-15971): There is a known issue with the replication of IntelligentVideo Applications to the Master Server. IntelligentVideo Applications can be configured and monitored on a per Region basis. IntelligentVideo Applications Not Supported with IntelligentVideo Application Server Located on a Different Region (OG-15972): In Enterprise systems, IntelligentVideo Applications should not be configured for IntelligentVideo Application Servers that are located on other Regional Servers. This is not a supported configuration, and the IntelligentVideo Application will not function properly. Referential Integrity Error when Saving Camera Layouts (OG-15973): If a camera layout is saved with cameras added from another Regional Server via the Camera Lookup feature, a Referential Integrity error might occur. To save a layout that generates the error, remove the cameras located on other Regional Servers from the layout prior to saving. Pre-existing User-specific Layouts Not Replicated to Enterprise Master (OG-16029): Pre-existing user-specific video layouts are not replicated up to the Master Server when user replication is enabled. This only affects pre-existing layouts. New layouts will be properly replicated. To work around this limitation, open each existing layout and save it again with the same name. Full Download to Region Results in Unexpected Log Size and Application Error (OG-21309): A full download to a Region could result in a log larger than expected and an application error. DOC-900-EN-US (July 2015) 2015 Lenel Systems International, Inc. revision

7. Identity Management Field Type Must be Text for Phone Numbers (OG-13728): User-defined phone number fields must have a field type of text, not numeric. To restrict users to numbers, use a 9 template when defining the field in FormsDesigner. Phone numbers entered as numeric fields might have their values truncated. HID Edge PIN Limitation (OG-16039): HID VertX/Edge firmware has an 8-digit PIN limitation. OnGuard allows a PIN of up to nine digits. When used with Edge readers, the last digit of any 9-digit PIN is ignored, and the first eight digits will match. The workaround for this issue is to configure the system to truncate the PIN to eight digits. This configuration will grant or deny access based on the validation of the first eight digits entered by the user. Fargo DTC4500 does not support encoding: The Fargo DTC4500 Card Printer/Encoder does not support encoding. Magicard Prima M Does Not Include Parity for Track 1 (OG-18107): The Magicard Prima M, print driver , F/W C02/29/57 printer does not include parity in its bit count for track 1, and its default setting is 7-bit sign. On most other printer drivers, 7-bit as a default would be correct. However, to encode standard magnetic track data (IATA) to track 1 on the Prima M, the print driver must be set to 6-bit sign. Magicard Tango2e Must Use Driver V1.41 (OG-20299): Magicard Tango2e driver V1.42 has a known issue with the installation of magapi.dll. Driver V1.41 is available on the Supplemental Materials disc and should be used instead. Magnetic Encoding Does Not Work with Firmware V2.00 for Zebra printers (OG-23809): Magnetic encoding will not work with firmware V2.00 for Zebra performance class card printers. Earlier versions of the firmware (up to V confirmed) should encode correctly. Cannot Verify Lenel Smart Card Formats Using Book 1 on Iris icam4000 (OG-27180): Configuring a Lenel Format using Book 1 settings 16kbits / 2 Application Areas or 16kbits/ 16 Application Areas is not supported by the IrisICUAdmin4000 software.
