BATTERY ARGING POWER ONNETION Pug the desktop charger into a standard outet. v u v u BATTERY REMOVAL The red LED indicates charging is in progress. The green LED indicates charging is competed. u Pu down the reease atch, ift up the battery and v remove the battery from the handset. u v ARGING TE BATTERY WIT TE ANDSET Fuy charge the battery before using it is not charged when purchased. Pace the handset (with battery attached) into the charger. Make sure the battery is securey paced to avoid sipping off during a ca. 0 It is more efficient to charge the battery with the phone turned off. If the red LED does not iuminate when charging, check the power connection and make sure the handset is securey in pace.

8 BATTERY USAGE BATTERY ANDLING INFORMATION ARGING TE BATTERY ONLY To charge the battery separatey, detach it from the handset. The red LED indicates charging is in progress. The green LED indicates charging is competed. DOs Ony use the battery and charger approved by the manufacturer. Ony use the battery for its origina purpose. Keep batteries in a temperature between ºF (5º) and 95ºF (35º). If the battery is stored in temperatures above or beow the recommended range, give it time to warm up or coo down before using. ompetey drain the battery before recharging. It may take one to four days to competey drain. Store the discharged battery in a coo, dark, and dry pace. Purchase a new battery when its operating time graduay decreases after fuy charging. This feature wi be convenient when you are inked to ARS (Advanced Record System) If ALL FAILED appears on the dispay or the ine is busy, press or. If you activate the AUTO RETRY function, the phone wi automaticay retry for the number of times you have seected. (refer to page 70) A phone number wi appear with its name, if avaiabe in the phone book when a ca is paced. There is another way to make a ca through the VR mode, which is caed VAD (Voice Activated Diaing). Pease refer to page 80 (Voice Service) for more detais. 3 To end a ca, press. In the Settings menu, you can seet either Any Key or Send Key to answer a ca. f Send Key is seected, the phone can ony be answered by pressing. See page 70 for more information. ALL WAITING FUNTION Notifies of another incoming ca when you are on the phone by making a beep sound and dispays the caer s phone number on the screen. To answer another ca whie on the phone, press. This paces the first ca on hod. To switch back to the first caer, press again. To end the ca, press. ANSWERING MAINE DISPLAY In Auto Answer Mode a ca is automaticay answered after a preset number of ring tones. See page 7 for more detais. Dispays the number of voice memos recorded in the answering machine. ALLER ID FUNTION Dispays the caer s name and phone number, if avaiabe, in the phone book. The caer ID is stored in the ca history. SILENT (QUIT) Prevents the other end from hearing tones if any key is pressed during a ca. Press to deactivate it. SEND MY PONE # Automaticay transmits your phone number to a pager during a ca without manuay entering the number. To transmit your phone number during a ca, press and. 5

As shown beow, there are avaiabe modes ; Standard input mode (abc), T9 input mode (T9abc), Numeric mode (3), and Symbo mode. The input mode indicator appears on the upper right of the dispay when etters and numbers are entered. To seect the desired input mode among the modes beow, press, then enter etters and numbers.
