5 FAQs Q: CAN WE OFFER FREE MONTHS OR DISCOUNT THE ON & ON TARIFFS? A: The On & On plans do not qualify for any months free or discounts, even via a JUC Q: DO WE HAVE AN ESCALATION POINT FOR BOOSTBOX QUERIES? A: You can raise your escalation via Partner Services, who will be happy to work with O2 to find a resolution. Q: HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY BCAD REFERENCE BACK? A: If your JUC is a Pass/Pass then this takes 48 hours to obtain a reference. If your JUC has been sent to O2 Finance then this will take 5 working days. Q: HOW LONG BEFORE I GET A REFERENCE FOR A CREDIT CHECK? A: For fewer than 7 lines we will process your credit check and provide a reference within 24 hours. For over 7 lines this can take up to 48 hours for a reference to be generated. Q: CAN WE CREDIT CHECK COMPANIES IN THE ISLE OF MAN? A: We are only able to process credit checks for companies with a UK registration number. Q: IF FREE MONTHS ARE AGREED ON 02, WHEN DO THESE FREE MONTHS KICK IN OR APPEAR ON THE BILL? A: The free months will be effective from point of connection. Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS AND WHAT PAPERWORK IS NEEDED TO CHANGE FROM A BUSINESS TO CONSUMER ACCOUNT ON O2? A: As we are a B2B distributor we are unable to process the transfer to O2 Consumer. Your customer will need to contact O2 to credit check the Consumer, they will then send a form for the customer to complete and return so the process can be completed. Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS AND WHAT PAPERWORK NEEDED TO CHANGE FROM A CONSUMER TO BUSINESS ACCOUNT ON O2? A: You will need to complete a credit check through Partner Services for your customer. Then they will send you a Transfer of Ownership form for completion. This needs to be completed and signed by the current owning customer and the proposed new business owner. Firstly you can call through to Partner Services, you will need to provide them with the customer name, account number, mobile number and new sim number. The team will process on our in-house system and this should be active for your customer within hours. Secondly your customer can process this by text. Simply text and the network will take the user through the process with ease. This is almost an immediate activation. HOW DO I CHECK IF MY CUSTOMER IS DUE FOR A RE-SIGN? You have two means of obtaining this information. You can login into Cloud Services and in the Retention section you will find all your customer data, including contract end dates. 11 WHAT IS BLACKBERRY 10? BlackBerry 10 is the new operating system from BlackBerry. It is currently available on the BlackBerry Z10 and will shortly be available on the Q10. WHAT IS BLACKBERRY ENTERPRISE SERVICE 10 (BES 10)? BES 10 is the new web based, mobile management system from BlackBerry. It combines what was previously known as BlackBerry Fusion with additional features for efficient security and device management. It is now available for a free 60 day trial by going here: ebes/trialorderentryform.do DO I NEED BES 10 TO RUN MY BLACKBERRY Z10 OR BLACKBERRY Q10? No, the beauty of this new operating system is that if you only have a few handsets and you don t want or need all of the security that comes with BES 10, you can just use Active Sync via your exchange server to obtain your work s (the same as any other operating system). If you do want the extra security you just need to utilise the web-based mobile management system that BES 10 is, and you can choose the right settings for your business. WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS ON BES 10? 13 Customer Satisfaction Indexing is a web portal that has been developed by our team to help you to survey your customers. It will help you to not only make sure that you have happy, loyal customers, but to immediately deal with any problems that may arise. WHY IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION INDEXING (CSI) SO IMPORTANT? The importance of talking regularly to all your customers about CSI has to be a focus within your business. It has been proven that happy customers are more likely to stay with O2 and recommend the service to others in turn creating more O2 fans. A BIT MORE ABOUT CSI Where appropriate, the survey questions refer to Partners of O2 to make it clear to your customer that they are talking about you. The better you manage your customers, the happier they will feel and the higher your score will be The survey asks your customers about their whole experience. HOW IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION MEASURED? The CSI score is measured on a scale of 1 10 across all questions asked, where 1 is extremely poor and 10 is excellent The survey asks a number of questions, including: In general how satisfied are you? How well does O2 compare to your expectations? How close or far from being the ideal operator is O2? WHAT INFORMATION WILL WE SHARE WITH YOU? Your individual customer scores and an overall CSI score Your customer names and comments unless they have asked to remain anonymous Red flags - where the customer has scored less than 6. We need you to contact these customers to discuss their issues HOW CAN I BE SURE WHICH CUSTOMERS WILL BE SURVEYED BY O2? The O2 survey can happen at any time to any of your customers therefore it is imperative that you inform your customer that they could be surveyed at any time. HOW CAN I BE SURE WHICH CUSTOMERS WILL BE SURVEYED BY BUSINESSCSI. CO.UK? The businesscsi.co.uk survey will typically take place after 3 working days of any re-sign, port or new connection going live. However, as with the O2 survey, it is possible that any of your customers could be surveyed at any time. HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY CUSTOMER HAS BEEN SURVEYED? As soon as a businesscsi.co.uk or an O2 survey has taken place, the results will be uploaded onto the businesscsi.co.uk portal for you to review. O2 will be contacting customers directly (excluding Wholesale DISE customers) on 26th and 27th of February. As a reminder, who s affected? SMB Voice and Mobile Broadband tariffs SMB Pop-up Office tariffs BCAD/Generic line rental discount codes Please continue to be completely clear and transparent in your conversations with customers. You must let every new and re-signing customer know that O2 will adjust their mobile tariff each year on their April bill by the RPI rate announced in the preceding February. Customers joining O2 after the comms go live will not receive a notification, meaning it is even more important to inform them about the RPI changes. NEW DIGITAL PRODUCT LAUNCHING IN MARCH 2015 In March 2015 O2 is launching Just Call Me, a game changing conferencing platform. Just Call Me changes your mobile number into a conference calling platform. Only the conference host requires the application on their phone and there s no PIN required for callers. Participants only need to call the hosts mobile directly, there s no conference number. The app works on ios, Android and Windows 8 phones. Just Call Me is 5 per month per user on a 30 day contract. OFFICE 365 NEW PLANS, INCLUDING NEW PRICING: Business Essentials per licence per month For customers for whom entry level cloud services are ideal and it provides basic and storage requirement. Business per licence per month For customers who want the full Office suite of products. Business Premium* per licence per month For customers who want a full range of solutions, which includes the full Office suite, online services & OneDrive storage. What are the key changes? As well as the introduction of the three new plans listed above, with the new reduced pricing, you need to be aware of the following changes: The max cap on seats for all three of the new plans is now 300 seats. The storage limit for OneDrive is now unlimited (previously 1TB). What does this mean for new customers? These new plans and price points are available to existing customers from August 2015 (tbc) at the point of contract renewal**. *Business Premium product: As was the case with Small Business Premium, the free remote setup is only offered and applicable if the customer in question is ordering 1-9 licences. Customers who need 10+ licences will need to go into a professional services project if they wish the service to be set up for them. **Migration Path: Microsoft are working to develop and enable functionality that will allow seamless automated migration from existing products to the new Business plans. This functionality is expected to be available by the end of at which point we will be able to migrate customers and their data safely and securely to the new Business plans. Although it is technically possible to migrate to a new service before the automated tools are released, Microsoft strongly recommend that no customers do so as due to the significant manual intervention that is required for each individual within the business there is a strong likelihood that something could go wrong. Microsoft themselves will not perform any such migrations for customers, and it will be up to the individual customer themselves to arrange, manage and take responsibility for any such migration. To ensure a seamless transition to the new service, our guidance is to wait until the automated tools are available. O2 have also updated the online training for Office 365 on the Partner Academy website. The Office 365 collateral on the Partner Portal has been updated to reflect these changes. INTERNATIONAL ROAMING REVENUE SHARE CHANGES From 1st April 2015 O2 are reducing the revenue share rate for all international spend. The changes specifically relate to international bolt-ons, roaming calls, SMS and data. This affects all new customers connecting to the network, existing customers re-signing and customers on the existing base in contract. To help reduce your business exposure to these changes, Chess Partner Services will be adjusting our upfront commission for all international roaming from January 1st 2015 from the current 35% to 14.5%. For the months of January, February and March the remaining 20.5% will be paid to you monthly as overspend. The new rate will then take full effect for all customers on 1st April ROAMING PROPOSITION All new customers will automatically be put onto the Worldwide 24 hour data Bolt On as default at a cost of 7.50 or mothly 120. All eligible existing customers will be migrated over in time for their January or February bill. Customers will be communicated with directly to tell them the great news from 2nd 19th December (this has been changed from 24 November). They will have the chance to opt out, but we hope they don t, as it s a great proposition. Can existing customers opt in prior to being migrated? Yes. They can opt in via text on arrival overseas or before they go, or via Customer Services. What will customers be told? O2 Convert For some businesses, cutting costs means reducing their workforce, which in turn means they may want to cancel some of the mobiles on their account. If this happens mid- contract, they will usually have to pay termination fees. What is it? O2 convert allows customers to avoid termination fees by letting their employees take their mobile numbers with them when they leave. These mobile numbers are migrated to consumer Pay Monthly contracts and moving forward ex- employees pick up their own bills. This saves the customer money and enables them to help people impacted by downsizing. Who is it for? Existing customers who are downsizing or those who want to reduce the number of business mobiles they provide to their staff. The customer must be more than six months into their current contract and have six or more handsets on their account. TEMPORARY SUSPENSION IS A FREE TOOL AVAILABLE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND CAN HELP YOU REDUCE YOUR CHURN. Temporary Suspension Customers reducing their workforce may not want the additional worry of losing key contact numbers if they also cancel their mobiles. Great news Temporary Suspension is now free we have removed all costs previously associated with this product. What is it? The service allows customers to suspend some of their mobiles for a limited period. Suspended mobiles won t be able to make outbound calls but will continue to receive inbound calls. This means that customers can remain contactable, at a time when securing new business and retaining existing customers is more important than ever. The customer won t have to pay a monthly subscription for any suspended mobiles and there won t be any call charges. That means reduced cost for their business. And when circumstances improve, it s easy for them to reactivate the mobiles and add them back onto their account. You can offer the service for 3, 6, 12 months. The maximum total suspension is 15 months. Who is it for? Existing customers who are downsizing but want to keep their numbers. This is for customers who intend to downsize temporarily. Small Business customers (EE, Orange or T-Mobile) will see an increase from 26th March, in line with the annual Retail Price Index (RPI). EE contacted impacted customers between 20th and 25th February to confirm the details of the increase. Out Of Bundle rates will not be changed. IMPORTANT EE CHANGES: ORANGE & T:MOBILE In the last two years the EE brand has proved extremely popular. Since the launch of 4G EE have seen 9 out of 10 of their pay monthly customers select 4G services from EE. With this in mind, EE have taken a strategic decision to focus solely on promoting the EE brand, products and services. 40 FAQS SWITCHING TO EE FROM PAY MONTHLY OR PAY AS YOU GO WHERE WILL I BE ABLE TO USE 4G? EE are expanding their 4G coverage significantly throughout 2014, and already cover 70% of the population. IF I HAVE A 4G-READY DEVICE, CAN I UPGRADE TO THE 4G SERVICE LATER? Yes, provided you move to the same length phone plan or longer with a monthly cost which is the same or higher, you will be able to upgrade to EE for no fee. Once you sign up to a new plan, they will send you a 4G SIM. CAN I GET 4G ON ORANGE AND T-MOBILE? No. 4G will be exclusively available on their new brand, EE. It s really easy for Orange and T-Mobile customers to move to EE though. WHICH NUMBERS AREN T INCLUDED IN MY INCLUSIVE MINUTES AND TEXTS? All pay monthly 4GEE plans have inclusive minutes and texts.
