4 v EOPI COMPLETE ARTWORK_Layout 1 04/07/ :29 Page 4 AGA itotal Control overview The AGA TC3 can be controlled remotely via the mobile phone network. Commands can be sent directly in the form of text messages or a website can be accessed and commands sent via a choice of buttons presented on the website. Website access can be via a web browser or by use of a dedicated phone app. The commands allow the user to switch any individual oven on or all three ovens on or alternatively switch all ovens and hotplates off. Please note that the hotplates cannot be switched on remotely. The commands will only work if the AGA TC3 is ON and not in Standby, please see the AGA TC3 Users handbook for more information regarding ON/Standby. The remote access facility is not designed for use as a cook timer. It is important to note that cooked or uncooked foodstuffs should never be left in a cold AGA TC3 oven either for storage purposes or in anticipation of cooking. Food should not be placed into an AGA TC3 oven, until the oven has reached its normal operating temperature. Neither should the ovens be used to store oven cooking utensils as they may hinder correct warm up of the oven when it has been switched on remotely or via the AGA TC3 programmer. 4

5 v EOPI COMPLETE ARTWORK_Layout 1 04/07/ :29 Page 5 AGA Remote Access Device overview The GSM remote access device (photo below) is connected to the AGA s main control board. This device receives the remote messages from the phone app, direct texts or website and transmits them to your AGA. The device has the coloured LED s Yellow LED Power is ON at the remote unit (touch panel is also on) Green LED Red LED The AGA s handset is communicating with the remote device This LED blinks intermittently when the devices sim card is registered on a Network provider. The LED will also become solid during data transmission when sending or receiving remote messages. A blink every 2-3 seconds indicates good network signal, a slow blink every 6-8 seconds indicates poor signal (for poor signal, see below) GSM AERIAL CABLE CONNECTED TO AGA s MAIN CONTROL BOARD COLOURED LED s The device must be located in a position where it can receive network signal and also be able to communicate with your AGA s handset. If there is a weak network signal for your preferred location of the remote access device, then the existing aerial can be removed and a booster aerial that locates internally by a window can be fitted, alternatively the device may have to be re-positioned. 5
