2 Overview The learner Toolkit provides a guide to what staff need to know to explain why Standard Bank are making this switch; what the benefits of switching will be and the actions required in making the change. The message being conveyed in broad terms is how the switch from the old Standard Bank App, to the new Standard Bank App is going to work and its user advantage, as well as the simplicity and convenience of the program in allowing its user a host of exciting banking facilities at home or on the go. Simpler, Easier, Exciting Banking Anywhere Anytime. Introductions The module s outcomes and purpose will be introduced. Purpose The purpose of the video is to explain the benefits of switching from the old Standard Bank App to the new Standard Bank App. 1. Single login credentials; your Standard Bank ID is all you need to login from any device; 2. Multiple devices; you can bank from anywhere on any device; 3. All products; the APP ultimately gives access to all our banking products.

3 Outcomes The outcomes will be to indicate the temporary differences between the functionalities available on a tablet and a smartphone as we switch a far richer and consistent online experience across all online devices. ios Switch (Apple): The user can go to the Apple App Store and update their application when the red update icon indicates on their App Store icon on their device. If If they have already registered for the app on their tablet all they will need to do is put in their Standard Bank ID ( address and password that they registered with). If If they do not have a Standard Bank ID they will need to create one and then link their banking products. Android Switch The customer will need to download the new app from the Google play store and delete the old one If If they have already registered for the app on their tablet all they will need to do is put in their Standard Bank ID ( address and password that they registered with). If If they do not have a Standard Bank ID they will need to create one and then link their banking products.

4 Link My Bank products Opening Up a Suite of Banking Services On The Go Their card number (this is one s primary card. In other words, the one that is used for one s Internet Banking login, for instance. This ensures that all the relevant accounts, as well as beneficiaries, are available in the app). The ATM PIN associated to that card (this is not one s CSP, but the PIN number that one enters into the ATM when using their bank card). Their ID or passport number The cellphone that Standard Bank has on record (this is most likely to be the one on which they receive MyUpdates, or one-time passwords for Internet Banking, for instance). All accounts linked to the card will be automatically added to the App. They are presented as different tiles within the App. Applicable OS and Devices The new Standard Bank App only runs on ios 7 and above (the latest is ios7.1.2) which in turns runs on all iphones from iphone 4 and later, ipad II and later, and all models of the ipad Mini. The App also runs on most Android phones and tablets that are running Blackberry, Nokia and Windows smartphone will continue to run on the old Standard Bank App, new Apps are currently being worked on for these devices. The Standard Bank ID The Key to your online Standard Bank world The Standard Bank ID is your verified address and unique password, which you register once you have downloaded the app.

5 Exciting New Features The new smartphone App boasts a beautifully crafted design and a fantastic, intuitive user experience. Account views can be personalised by moving accounts to different areas of the screen, and giving them nicknames that have relevance for the user. Some of the exciting features include the ability to add beneficiaries, and then make payments to their accounts as well as buying prepaid airtime, data, SMS bundles, and electricity. The various functions that can currently be performed on the two types of device are listed in the table below: Insurance Investment Portfolio Share Trading View for tablet registered customers only View for tablet registered customers only View for tablet registered customers only

6 Cash Vouchers You enter the cell phone number of the person you want to pay, enter the amount you want to send, and the app will generate a cash voucher. They then go to any Standard Bank ATM, and using secure PIN codes, they withdraw the cash. No need for a bankcard. You can also generate a cash voucher for yourself allowing you to withdraw money without needing to have your bankcard on you. Not everyone has a bank account, so this is a safe and quick way to send cash. Some Advantages of the Switch Single login credentials: The new Standard Bank ID becomes the user s unique login method for the new App on all ios and Android phones and tablets, and the forthcoming new Internet Banking service. Multiple devices: Having created a Standard Bank ID, the user can transact with App banking from different devices All your products: The Standard Bank ID allows the user to link all their accounts, cards, and products, and manage every aspect of their personal finances from App banking.
