45 Chapter 9 tglo Bridge Our tglo Bridge enables you to use your home or business phone and home or business fax with tglo. It is simple to use and very powerful. There is no need to install separate drivers and you do not need a power source for tglo Bridge. Simply connect the bridge to your home phone, fax, and Internet-connected computer, and it does the rest. You can purchase tglo Bridge from our online store. Log in to your Command Center and click the link to the online store. The following sections contain simple setup instructions. Be sure to follow them completely. Failure to do so could result in your inability to dial 911 during an emergency. See the section called tglo Fax Center on page 14 for instructions on using the tglo Bridge. Your computer must be booted up and connected to the Internet for a call to be routed through the tglo network. If your computer is not booted up or connected to the Internet, your call will be routed through your local carrier at your local carrier s rates. Making Calls Using tglo Bridge When you make calls using a traditional telephone that is connected to the tglo Bridge, you do not have to dial an access number as you do with tglo Mobile. However, your computer must be booted up and connected to the Internet in order to use our calling rates. If your computer is not connected to the Internet when you make a call, your call is routed through your telephone provider and that provider s calling rates will apply toward the call. 39

46 Installing the tglo Bridge with a Telephone Your tglo Bridge package includes the tglo Bridge, a USB cable, and a standard telephone cable. You will also need a second telephone cable for this setup. You should already have one with your telephone.
