Controlling the CERV online through CERV-ICE is easy as the interface has been designed to mimic the same intuitive layout as the handheld touch screen controller.

2 CERV-ICE OVERVIEW Adding another degree of flexibility to the Conditioning Energy Recovery Ventilator, Build Equinox has developed CERV-ICE (Intelligently Controlled Environment), an internet gateway which allows online control and monitoring of the CERV. Controlling the CERV online through CERV-ICE is easy as the interface has been designed to mimic the same intuitive layout as the handheld touch screen controller. In addition to allowing control of a CERV from anywhere online, CERV-ICE allows one to view and download historic temperature, relative humidity, and indoor air quality data. CERV-ICE requires no monthly fee, just the gateway, an internet connection, and setting up an account online. This guide will assist you in the process of setting up your gateway and online account. WHAT S IN THE BOX? Inside the box, you will find the CERV-ICE internet gateway, an Ethernet cable, and a power supply. INSTALLING THE GATEWAY 1. Plug in one side of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the CERV-ICE gateway. Plug in the other side of the Ethernet cable to an Ethernet port on your internet router. 2. Plug the power supply cable into the power input port on the gateway and plug in the power supply. 3. After plugging in the device, the Power LED will turn solid green, and the Network LED will gradually turn solid green if it can connect to the server online. If the LEDs do not turn green, see the following troubleshooting page, as there could be issues with the configuration of your router:

SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT 1. Open a web browser on your computer and go to www.buildequinox.com/cervlogin.php. Please note: Old versions of Internet Explorer may have issues.

Click on the Create Account button. 3. Enter your desired email address and a password (and then enter the same password again to confirm your choice). 4.

CERV-ICE uses the full capabilities of modern web browsers, of which older versions of IE are not able to provide. You must additionally enable Javascript if you have it disabled. 2. Click on the Create Account button. 3. Enter your desired address and a password (and then enter the same password again to confirm your choice). 4. To find the number for the Gateway Serial Number field, look at the bottom of your CERV-ICE gateway. It is the 12 digit serial number in the area highlighted below. 5. Click the Create Account button. A box will appear confirming your account creation. 6. The page should now refresh, and then you may enter your newly created account and password. If you happen to forget your password, you may reset it with the Forgot Password field, using the gateway serial number again.

Control Screen From the Control Screen, you have access to the same interface as the handheld touch screen controller. This allows you to configure the CERV s setpoints, set up the auxiliary devices and wireless switches, and view the current operation status.

One feature of CERV-ICE is the ability to share view-only access to another person. When someone logs in with the view-only access key, they will be able to view the CERV s current operation status and historical data, but will not be able to change your setpoints or other configuration settings.
