1 How to change the GEN4 Wireless Network password for the yellow GLiNet In-Vehicle wireless router The GEN4 Wireless Network default password is identified on the GEN4 Wireless Network Name (GLiNET) and Security Key (Password) ID card included with the GEN4 PRO XTREME system. The default password is used to establish the initial wireless connection between the PC & GEN4 Wireless Network. The following details how to change the GEN4 Wireless Network default password for the yellow GLiNet In-Vehicle wireless router using the online GLiNET Configuration Tool. Note: These instructions only pertain to how to change the GEN4 Wireless Network password for the yellow GLiNet In-Vehicle wireless router. Instructions on how to change the GEN4 Wireless Network password for the NETGEAR N600 Race Car wireless router are located on the BS3 website under the GEN4 PRO XTREME section. In order to change the GEN4 Wireless Network default password, the GEN4 PRO XTREME yellow GLiNet in-vehicle Wireless Router must be powered on and wirelessly connected to a PC. Note: STEP 1 of the How to establish a Wireless Ethernet connection between BigComm Pro GEN4 software running on a PC and GEN4 PRO XTREME ECU instructions, located on the BS3 website under the GEN4 PRO XTREME section, explain how to establish a wireless connection between the PC and GEN4 Wireless Network. Once a wireless connection between the PC and GEN4 Wireless Network is established, the online GLiNET Configuration Tool can be accessed by typing the following address into your PC s browser; and hitting the enter key. 1

2 After hitting the enter key, the GLiNet Configuration Tool window will open as shown below asking for a Password. The default password for the GLiNet Configuration Tool is goodlife (all lowercase letters). Type goodlife in as the password, as shown below, and left mouse click on Login. 2

3 Once Login is selected, the following GLiNet configuration window will open. Once open, highlight and left mouse click on the GEN4 WIFI GLiNET selection under SETTINGS. Once the GEN4 WIFI GLiNET selection is clicked on the following window will open. Once open, highlight and left mouse click on Setting. 3

4 Once Setting is clicked on, the following Wireless Settings dialogue window will open. 4

5 Once open, move the mouse to the Password dialogue box, left mouse click in the dialogue box and type in a new GEN4 Wireless Network Password. The password must have a minimum of 8 characters. Note: The GEN4 Wireless Network naming convention, when used with the yellow GLiNET In-Vehicle wireless router, is GEN4 WIFI GLiNET 0001 thru

6 Once the new password is typed in, move the mouse over the Submit button and left mouse click on it. Once the Submit button is clicked on, an Update successfully message will appear in the window to indicate the GEN4 WIFI GLiNET Network password has been changed and updated. Now move the mouse over the orange X button in the upper right corner of the Wireless Settings dialogue window. Once the orange X button turns blue, left mouse click on it to close the Wireless Settings dialogue window. 6

7 Once the blue X button is clicked on, the Wireless Status window will open. Once open, move the mouse over the Logout button and left mouse click on it. Once the Logout button is clicked on, the GLiNet Login page will open. At this point you can close out of the GLiNet Configuration Tool. 7

8 Because the GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network password has been changed, the wireless connection between the PC and GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network will be disconnected. Therefore, the next time a wireless network connection between the PC and GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network is attempted, the newly created GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network password, also referred to as the network security key, must be used to establish the connection. Once the new password is typed in, left mouse click on the Next button. Once Next is selected, the following window opens showing the GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network is Checking network requirements and attempting to establish connection with the PC. 8

9 After a brief period of time, the following window will open to indicate the wireless network connection has been established between the PC and GEN4 WIFI GLiNET network. 9
