2 Passio IncroMAXX Transit Installation Guide Step 1 Confirm receipt of all items. Please open all boxes and confirm that you have received a complete set of equipment, wiring, and mounting units for each vehicle in your fleet. ITEM LIST, DESCRIPTIONS, AND THUMBNAIL PHOTOS (1) Passio Transit Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) - Built-in 44 PIN Cable attached to unit with secure connector (1) RAM Mount Square 75mm VESA Monitor Plate with 1.5 Ball connected (4) Bolts with (8) Washers appearance may vary (1) RAM Mount Arm with Dual 1.5 Sockets (1) RAM 1.5 Ball Mount (3) Self-Drilling Machine Screws (1) Barrel Plug Power Cable with Power Filter (1) Fuse holder with 5/10 Amp mini fuse (1) Octopus 44 PIN to 9 Wire Connector Cable ***OPTIONAL*** (circled if included) (1) Serial to COM2 GPS Antenna with Double Sided Tape Magnetic or RFID Card Reader Plexiglass mounting sheet for card reader IR APC Camera based APC 1 Passio Technologies, Inc. 3 3.5mm Audio cable to connect to radio for Voice Announcements Noise filter 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable Step 2 Passio IncroMAXX Transit Installation 1. Mount 1.5 Ball Mount on Dash - Identify possible locations and use included self tapping screws or other if necessary. (***GET CUSTOMER APPROVAL***) 1.1. Location should be close enough to driver to touch screen without leaving seat or requiring any unsafe activity Base location should be strong enough to handle weight of unit and additional pressure of driver pressing screen and adjusting mount for visibility. 2. Attach 1.5 Ball Mount Plate to the back of the Passio MDT using included machine screws 3. Use the 6 (or other) Arm to connect the Ball Mount (on the dash) to the Ball Mount Plate (on the Passio MDT). 4. Attach 44-Pin connector from Passio MDT Unit to 44-Pin connector attached to 9 Wire Octopus cable. Tighten screws to ensure a continuous connection.(**connector MUST be easily accessible by driver to remove & replace as needed**) 5. Run Wires and Secure properly (Vibration is our enemy!) Octopus cable (9 wires) should be hidden behind the dash or other location and secured. (44-Pin connector must be accessible by driver) All Connections (serial, USB, power, and Ethernet) should be securely wrapped with electrical tape. All wires that penetrate through holes should be protected from wear and tear with rubber grommets, loom, or extra electrical tape. 2 Passio Technologies, Inc. IncroMAXX Transit Installation Guide

4 Wires that are publically visible and penetrate through holes should be secured to one or both sides of the opening to prevent pullout from people. All wires should be zipped tied and secured as to not rub or be loose. Use loom as necessary. If not already connected, connect the COM2 serial connector to the GPS serial connector and thumb-tighten the screws. Install GPS receiver in corner of dash, visible. (away from the driver and in a place that will not cause distractions, reflections, or interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle in any way). Green Flashing = (GOOD) Power + GPS signal; Green Solid = Power, but no signal, dark = no Power re-connect). (**OPTIONAL- Card Reader**) USB connectors are used for Card readers. Mount card reader on Plexiglass. Mount Plexiglass on wall. Secure, and install properly. (**OPTIONAL- Voice Announcement**) 3.5mm connector is used to connect audio out to the radio. Plug noise filter into 3.5mm jack on Octopus cable Plug 3.5mm cable from filter to radio Use 3.5mm to RCA adapter if nec. 3 Passio Technologies, Inc. IncroMAXX Transit Installation Guide

5 6. Test Power Connection Unit should be wired to the ignition with the 5amp fuse near the power source. Unit should automatically turn on when power is detected and display the Driver login. (**The unit should NOT power cycle after initial ON when cranking the vehicle. If there is a Start button to power on the bus confirm that it does not reboot the unit.**) All splices should be properly connected with butt connectors and electrical tape. Unit should automatically turn off when turned past the ignition position. (non-apc install) Step 3 Passio IncroMAXX Transit Testing (1) Turn off the Bus. The Passio MDT should shut off. (2) Turn the Bus to the ignition position. The Passio MDT should turn on. Wait 30sec. (3) Crank the Bus. The Passio MDT should NOT power cycle. Rewire if it does. 1. Select a Driver 1. 6 1. Confirm GPS and Web on bottom left are green (not red) 2. Confirm correct TIME 3. Tap ON button three (3) times. 4. Tap Next Stop 5. Tap Driver Login button to go to Driver Login Screen 1. From Driver Login Screen confirm that Latitude and Longitude are showing numbers (not zero). 2. Press UPLOAD button 3.
