1 Integrated Video Camera Installation Guide Always mount the camera in an area cleaned by the wiper travel, and within the top 2 inches of the wiper sweep area on heavy trucks. You will need a PH0/1 size Phillips bit to remove the camera s set screw and adjust the viewing angle. If you are adding a 3-wire connected camera to an existing 3-wire connected GPS install you may splice the into its existing Constant, Ignition and Ground connections or use a stainless ring terminal to make your own ground connection. You may also use butt connectors or Posi-tap connectors. You may NOT use Add-A-Fuse, fuse taps, T-taps or Scotch lock type connectors when completing these installs. Any GPS install must be performed, verified and completed in VZCheck before beginning the camera install. 2 Hardware Installation Process Harness Connections Make harness connections per the diagram below. Be certain to bundle all extra cabling lengths securely away from interfering with the driver. Camera Integration 2

3 Camera Mounting Camera Boot Sequence The LED lights will flash in sequence at boot up then stay lit and beep once to indicate it is in normal operating mode. Camera Integration 3

4 Link and Activate Camera Camera Installation with a New or Replacement VTU VTU's and cameras are visible on the VZCheck PO page. 1. Scan the VTU ESN or manually search the PO/ESN >Complete the VTU check in. Once the VTU check in is complete VZCheck will cycle back to the PO screen. 2. Select the Camera from the list >Choose the matching VTU then >Link the Camera to the VTU. 3. Verify Camera Alignment by creating an alignment confirmation picture on the ensuing page. If Re-alignment is needed, adjust and retake picture then >Click Complete. Camera Installation Up-fits with an Existing VTU 1. Scan the Camera ESN or manually search PO/ESN. 2. Select the Camera from the list >Choose the matching VTU then >Link the Camera to the VTU. 3. Verify Camera Alignment by creating an alignment confirmation picture on the ensuing page. 5 If you are unable to check in the VTU using VZCheck due to poor GPS signal or the vehicle is unable to supply constant and ignition power, for instance, because the vehicle is in the shop and under repair then you must fail the VTU check-in within VZCheck and call into Customer Support to link the camera. Request the Customer Support rep to note the reason you are unable to complete check-in using VZCheck with the case notes, and notate it in your own installation records. Customer Support (866) Troubleshooting Resetting the Camera Use a small tool or paper clip to press the Calibrate switch on the Red button for 3 seconds, or until you hear a beep. LED Light Indicators The camera has three indicator lights to help you identify any issues with its operation. During normal operation, both the green and blue lights are on. If the blue light is off and the red light is on or flashing, there could be a problem with the SD card. If the green light is off or is flashing, then there could be a SIM or network error. The tables below outline some of the most common issues. Keep in mind multiple errors may be present at one time. Reset the camera. Turn off the ignition and confirm that the SIM card is installed and with the correct orientation.
