3 Page 3 of 4 Schedule EQUIPMENT: Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows: The K002 handset has been developed for use in potentially explosive working environments. It is designed to be used in DECT on site wireless telephone systems. The handset also comes with a charging cradle and a mains power adaptor for the cradle. The handset is not intended to be charged in hazardous area. The product is approved for usage in ambient temperature range -10 C to +40 C. Within the enclosure a rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack powers the handset and is not intended to be removed or replaced by the user in hazardous area. CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below: 1. When the handset is used in hazardous area, it must be used with leather pouch part - number The battery pack shall only be replaced by trained personnel by opening the battery cover with the help of a special tool. 3. The cells or batteries shall not be removed or replaced in hazardous area. 4. The handset battery pack shall only be charged in non-hazardous area with dedicated charger part number Only IECEx approved headsets shall be connected to the handset in hazardous area.
