12 Professional Development Working roadmap toward a System Safety Certification program First step is developing the Body of Knowledge Investigating options on certification Collaboration with other professional organizations Education Initiative Body of Knowledge could also be the basis of academic courses and programs and help the ISSS to assist universities and safety educational providers in establishing system safety programs 12

13 Professional Development Operating Vice Presidents have been officially appointed this year: Rani Kady for Education Russ Mitchell for Professional Development Anthony Burno for Awards Daniel Strub for Professional Development Materials A refinement to the membership upgrade process has been implemented and more are under consideration 13

14 Mentoring and R&D Establishing Mentoring Program Create Mentor Training Program Establish process for obtaining Mentor Market the value of mentoring 14

15 Publicity and Media Journal of System Safety Last year published 4 print journals and 2 electronic Journals SY13-14 Budget Challenges We will publish 3 print Journals in SY13-14 Increasing emphasis on Advertising income to help mitigate publishing costs 15
