6 Local Full Fibre Networks Programme Objective: Stimulate the telecoms market to invest in more fibre connectivity for homes, businesses and 5G masts. Working with Local Bodies we will do this through aggregating demand for Gigabit connectivity to the Public and Private Sectors 200m of NPIF funding announced at 2017 Spring Budget: Wave1 projects - underway to test 4 different delivery mechanisms Wave2 projects - Local bodies bidding into a Challenge Fund Harnessing public sector demand and stimulating private demand for full fibre services Creating the right environment for commercial investment
