Biography Esteban Salinas was born in Valparaiso, Chile on November 4, 1977. His passion for drawing began early with participation in art and illustration workshops.

2 Biography Esteban Salinas was born in Valparaiso, Chile on November 4, His passion for drawing began early with participation in art and illustration workshops. On his 6th birthday, his parents gave him the illustrated Treasure Island by Robert L. Stevenson. This mix of literature and illustration changed his perspective on life. In an age without television, Esteban s father encouraged his hunger for reading: Edgar A. Poe, Jules Verne and later Jean Giraud, also known as Moebius, among others. As a young student in Chile, he participated in illustration workshops and was active in the world of comics in Valparaiso. He attended Film school, specializing in Art Direction at the University of Valparaiso. At that time he met and eventually married foreign exchange student Sarah Miner. His son Max was born in August 2008 in Santiago, Chile. Two years later,also in August, his second son Gael was born, but in Rochester, NY. He now lives in Rochester, and with the support of his family, studies Graphic Design at Finger Lakes CC.
