SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS AND MANUALS INTRODUCTION The latest products and updates to EVS s Gateways and Transcoding Solutions are outlined below: Xsquare Version 3.03: New functions and display options are available when flattening clean versions of EDL s, and there is clearer display of complex jobs in Xsquare monitoring. Xsquare now supports the 12 channel configurations recently made available in Multicam 14. EVS Avid Integration AMA Plugin Version 01.00: A solution for Stand-Alone AVID Editors that allows access to EVS generated MXF Files and Metadata through an AVID certified AMA Plugin. This saves time when accessing files, and allows the editor to stay within the edit interface. Works with MediaComposer 7 and above, using EVS created OP1A Media Files with companion EVS.XML EVS Avid Tools Version Setup is now simplified XDCAM Avid FTP Server that provides a file transfer workflow for XDCAM media content that has been created in Avid and has to be made available on an EVS Video Server (or included in a workflow with EVS products). XSQUARE VERSION IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW FUNCTIONALITIES Complex jobs are now displayed in a more detailed view, enabling the operator to receive more information on job status, and monitor them more easily. Here s an overview of the complex jobs: Flatten clean EDL Delete Source File Copy FTP destination Move destination file Xsquare Scanfolder Example of job statuses for a complex job Flattening the clean version of an EDL (Preprocessing) There is a new setting to clean an EDL before rendering (to XT or to file). This "clean operation removes the following effects: Vizrt, Orad, logo and character generator. All other effects are kept. This is mainly used in conjunction with Xedio. The option is available in the template, and is one of the possible pre-processing steps: Copy FTP destination (Post-processing) In a post-processing step, Xsquare 3.3 can now copy destination file(s) to an FTP server After the Transfer job is completed (i.e. when destination file is completed) Copy is seen as a new line in jobs monitoring Page 3 of 10

XTACCESS NEW CODECS & FEATURES Codecs: AS-11 UK/DPP MXF Format ARD ZDF MXF Profiles Sony XAVC-Intra HD MXF OP1A Sony XAVC Long-GOP HD 50MBPS MXF OP1A Sony XAVC-Intra 4K MXF OP1A Miscellaneous: File caching is now available for MXF OP1a files (Intra codecs only). MP4 files with an audio sampling rate different from 48Khz are now supported. Support of QT files with discrete audio channels (spec. QuickTime V2). New features of the Xsquare solution are described in detail in the Release Note available via this link. 3. IPLINK FOR ADOBE WITH EXPORTER VERSION IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW FUNCTIONALITIES IPLink Importer is compatible with IPDirector 6.57 and IPLink Exporter is compatible with Xsquare 3.2 and 3.3. IPLink Exporter Admin: in the list of Standard Clip Metadata, the VarID can now be disabled, allowing editors not to have to provide the VarID when they export a sequence using IPLink Exporter. FUNCTIONALITY Media Selection After installation on the Avid MC PC the AMA Plugin can be activated from the AMA link: 1. Select AMA link in the File menu. 2. Select the folder containing the MXF OP1A files including the evs.xml metadata file. 3. Click open to get the list of clips including all the metadata. Page 7 of 10

For additional information please refer to the Release Note on the EVS Website XDCAM AVID FTP SERVER The XDCAM Avid FTP Server ensures that EVS Avid Tools and EVS SendToPlayBack continue to work with XDCAM, despite XDCAM not being supported by the Avid DHM API. This enables a file transfer workflow for XDCAM media content that has been created in Avid and has to be made available on an EVS Video Server (or included in a workflow with EVS products).
