1 ST JOHN BOSCO BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL CLUB INCORPORATED 2018 WINTER ONLINE REGISTRATION USER GUIDE Version 0.1

2 INTRODUCTION Effective July 2017, Baseball Australia (BA) and Baseball NSW (BNSW) required all player registrations to be completed and paid for online (and via app) using its new online registration system. Please note if payment is not made at the time of registration, the player will not be registered. There are three (3) steps to registering yourself and/or your child being: STEP 1 Create a Baseball Australia User Profile this is a log in under which you will create player profile(s) and registrations. Here you can manage and update personal information and simply log in each season to re-register. STEP 2 Create Player Registration specific details relating to each Player you intend to register under your User Profile STEP 3 Make Payment via Credit Card and Paypal, receipt and registration confirmation. REGISTRATION USING PC, ANDROID AND GOOGLE CHROME ONLY IMPORTANT! Unfortunately, players are unable to register online using Apple devices and Safari. Only PC, Android mobile devices using Google Chrome (not Microsoft Internet Explorer IE) work effectively. OBJECTIVES OF THIS USER GUIDE The User Guide does not walk the Registrant through every step of the online process as for the most part the questions and process are simple to understand and follow. Instead, the User Guide calls out specific area s that may prove confusing or where a Registrant has an option/choice to make. PAYMENT Unlike previous years, BA and BNSW require payment at the time of registration. Payment can be made securely with a Credit Card or via Paypal. An receipt/payment confirmation is sent to you within minutes of payment being made. Should your circumstances not allow payment at the time of registration, please contact the Bosco registrar at boscobaseball.registrar@gmail.com. Alternative arrangement may be accommodated by the Club. FAMILY DISCOUNTS Please note family discounts will be rebated within 28 days of registration and payment. The registration process will ask you to confirm the number of Family Members registered in the 2018 Winter Competition so that we can calculate the rebate applicable. 3 STEP 1 Create a Baseball Australia User Profile This will be your baseball login profile for life. Unless you already created a login profile when previously registering to participate in the 2017/18 Summer Season, you will create and register players under this login profile. If you already have a login profile, click Already have an account? Login under the Green Create Account icon, otherwise please complete the following steps: 1. Click on the registration link available at 2. If using PC, you will see the screen to the right 3. If using personal device, you ll probably just see the white registration box in the middle of the screen shot to the right 4. Follow the steps to create a User Account 5. IMPORTANT: make sure to enter your address correctly as it does not ask you to authenticate it (unlike PW where you have to enter it twice) 6. Once complete, you will proceed to Step 2 outlined below. 7. NOTE: next time you log in with your newly created User Name and Password, be sure to click Already have an account? Login located under the big green Create Account button. STEP 2 Create a Baseball Australia User Profile This section captures basic Player information that determines the League / Competition in which they will participate 8. The first step is to confirm who you are buying for. You will have the choice of You or Someone else. Pick the latter if registering your child. 9. NOTE: The next time/season you go to reregister a person in the system, you will see the name of that person pop up as an option supplementing the options outlined in 1. above. 10. Complete the balance of the questions on this page including selecting Player and click 11. NOTE: The Date of Birth (DOB) you enter will automatically determine the League / Competition you/your child will play in. Should you wish to play in a different League / Competition, the request can be made in the SPECIFIC REQUEST section on the next page. SJBBSC ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS 3

4 Select your registration options This section outlines the League / Competition and associated fees the Registrant will participate. This is largely pre-determined based on the Registrant s date of birth. 12. The screen shots to the right show the two options available to Junior OR Adult registrants/players. 13. The Age of registrant previously entered will determine which screen they see. 14. Select one of the two options ONLY. If you registered and paid to play Baseball in the 2017/18 Summer Season, select the lower registration fee as you are already capitated (insured) with Baseball NSW and Baseball Australia 15. Click Just a few more details This section captures additional player information, emergency contact details, player experience, specific requests and family discount eligibility, terms and conditions of registration etc. 16. This section is simple to follow however there are a few sections that require some explanation (see steps below) 17. NOTE: questions marked with * are mandatory. IMPORTANT: CSMLBA/STGBA requires all players to complete this section. In the event this section is NOT completed, the player will be placed in the highest division. 18. PREVOUS PLAYING EXPERIENCE: All Players /Registrants MUST answer this question. 19. Where the Player/Registrant is new to Baseball, simply select the check box 20. In the event the Player / Registrant has previously played type I. Season/Year they player II. Club III. League IV. Grade V. Position the Team came at end of Season (on the ladder) for the previous two (2) most recent seasons. SJBBSC ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS 4

5 21. ARE YOU ABLE TO ASSIST?: Please select areas where you can assist the team or the Club. 22. FAMILY DISCOUNT: Players / Registrants should confirm the number of family members that will Register with BOSCO in the 2018 Winter Competition. 23. Families will be entitled to a rebate where two (2) or more Players are registered; BOSCO will contact the family to confirm various details in order calculate and remit the rebate. 24. Click STEP 3 Make Payment This section allows the Player / Registrant to confirm fees payable, add additional player registrations and make secure payment via Credit Card or Paypal 25. You will be shown a Summary of fees for each Player / Registrant. 26. You can add additional Players / Registrants at this stage by click the Register another person hyperlink 27. Once you have registered all Players, click on payment options to proceed to SJBBSC ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS 5

6 28. Registrant can pay securely by Credit Card or Paypal 29. Once you have entered your information, click the button to process your payment. 30. The registration process is now complete 31. If paying by Paypal, you will receive a payment receipt ed to you 32. You will also receive an from STG (the company hosting the online registration solution) with a payment receipt 33. Finally, you will receive an from BOSCO thanking you for your registration. 34. IMPORTANT: If you do not receive the above confirmations with 24 hours of registration, you may have entered your address incorrectly.
