1 Lead Magnet Cheat Sheet Your lead offer/lead magnet needs to be a great incentive to get people to Opt-In to your list and start to develop rapport, credibility, and trust from you or your brand. Your lead offer can deliver some kind of premium content, downloadable information, a video series, etc. The 5 Golden Rules There are 5 things NECESSARY to have a high-quality lead offer that makes your visitors DROOL to download. Here they are: 1. It needs to be QUICK to understand. Nobody wants to read a novel if they re excited about your lead offer. You might think it s better to offer some kind of extensive ebook thinking that the more you offer, the more value you re giving but this is wrong. Keep it short, simple, and to the point. 2. Has to be accessible instantly. You MUST let your subscribers get your offer immediately. No waiting around. 3. No fluff. You lead offer needs to sound amazing and actually BE amazing. If you over promise and under-deliver then people will unsubscribe and they will lose all trust in you. 4. It must solve a problem. Perhaps most important of all, people won t download something for the fun of reading/watching/doing it. It must solve a problem what problems do your visitors usually have when they come to your website? How can you solve it for them in a way they have never tried or heard of before?
2 5. Actionable & fast. Your offer needs to deliver something that will produce a result. Losing weight, increasing your subscriber count, making more money these are all results. Your offer MUST produce some kind of result. It also must be FAST people don t want to wait weeks to see this result, it needs to be immediate (relative to your niche, you can t lose 5lbs in a day for example) Here are 17 lead magnet ideas you can create in an afternoon to grow your list in less than 3 days. Checklists Checklists convert the best out of all the lead magnets, probably because they are so easily consumed. They condense everything that the user needs to know into one actionable list. They re also super quick to create. For example, you can summarize your popular blog posts as a checklist, and turn it into a content upgrade. 8 There are several reasons why this lead magnet is so genius, and why you should think about doing a challenge as a lead magnet too Anyone who takes them up on this offer is going to be a highly qualified lead. They are basically raising their hands and saying, I want green smoothies!. Challenges with a start and an end date have urgency. This makes the offer that much more compelling. Challenges build brand awareness by fostering a sense of community everyone is doing the challenge together, at the same time. Challenges make it much easier to elicit desired behavior through peer pressure. Most people wouldn t have the discipline to drink one green smoothie a day for 30 days, but they are much more likely to jump on the bandwagon when challenged to do so.
